If you dont start in Singlish its a bit hard for me to continue... the thing is that I usually adjust myself to speak different things in different settings.

Shem ... then count yourself lucky that Shao doesn't want to speak Singlish ... cuz when I say it I mix Malay, Cantonese, Teochew and Hokkien into my very powderful England. Heehee.
And a lot of terms some of the non-chinese community do not understand. I even had to explain to someone in the states when I called him "blur like sotong". He didn't know the connection between blur (not clear) and sotong (he didn't know that it was squid/cuttlefish).
