"No..not the saddest." Urien replied quietly, and paused, glancing at Sevelin. He smiled an odd smile, that seemed genuine even as it became a facade that only barely reached his eyes. "Anyway, I really do like watching the sunset."

"Sunsets are all well and good," Sev replied with a shrug, slightly uneasy with something so beautiful that was out of his reach. Sunsets had that effect on him, too, sometimes. "I prefer a sunrise, myself. I imagine a delinquent like yourself doesn't see many of those, hmm?" ^_~

Urien shrugged, facing the sunset again. He liked sunsets because they reminded him of happy memories - that were bittersweet these days. "I'm not much of a morning person."

Laying back on the rocks, Sev shook his head in mock regret. "You must miss the best part of the day! Come now, Urien, surely you've noted the absolute joy of wandering the streets on a crisp moring of about 5am, happy in the knowledge that the world is your own, with no one to interfere!"

"Only if I just never went home that night." He answered, absently, "And then sunrise has a tendancy to be less pleasant." The wind tugged at his hair across his face, hiding his expression.

Interesting. Hot-blooded Urien had his own share of ghosts, did he? What an interesting discovery. Sevelin stepped close, reaching up with one careful hand to brush the hair away from Uri's face with the less-scarred of his hands. "Then you should try waking up for such mornings," he said, matter-of-fact. "Mornings are only pleasant if made important- simply being awake through them doesn't have the same effect."

"Mornings..." Urien looked slightly confused at Sev's movement, that put him so close to the other boy, and it occured to him that he hadn't noticed Sev's hands until he had brought them up... "mornings, are best when you sleep through them." He said, smiling slightly, in a half ghost of his usual smirk. The last of the sunlight colored his hair in a particularly vibrant shade of red and touched the edges of his figure, making him look warm.

((Seeeeex. *grabby hands at*))
"I still say you're missing the best part of the day," Sev replied softly, pulling his hand back to brush his own wayward hair out of his thin face. The sight of his own hand distracted him, making him ignore his hair for the moment and shove his hands back in his pockets. The sunset didn't suit the pale boy as well, bleeding colors too bright into his light skin. Still, he held his peace- let Urien enjoy the view, if he so pleased.

Urien turned back to the ocean, the sun was almost below the waves now, as if it were sinking into the water. He had almost decided to not say anything about Sev's hands, but he ended up speaking, quietly, before he talked himself out of it. "I didn't notice until you mentioned it, you know....your hands I mean." There was a pause, and he continued still looking out at the sunset, "There's no point in keeping them in your pockets."

"it's habit, I suppose," Sev stated overly-lightly, red painting his cheeks again. There was a kind of mute horror in his eyes- more shame from the events that had caused them than from the scars themselves. "I usually jsut wear gloves, but I figured the sand would never come out if I wore them out here."

"They look fine." Urien said, matter of factly. Unaware that there was more to Sev's blush then the scars making him self concious.

"Fine, if you like burn victims," Sev retorted, shaking off the comment and turning his back on the falling sun. "Come on, you. If you are so proud of your motorcycle, why don't you show me how fast it can go?"

"No one's looking at your hands anyway." Urien muttered to himself, turning away from the ocean and looking back up towards where the bike was parked. "Sorry. I cut back on speeding after dark." He took a deep breath and exhaled, rolling his shoulders. "Want me to drop you off somewhere?"

"Anywhere is fine," Sev replied softly, regretting his harsh words. Head bowed, his expression was melancholy as he sat to recover his shoes. He wasn't exactly fond of going home to an empty house. "My father won't be home tonight- he's in surgery. I can walk from just about anywhere in the area, if you need to get home."
