I seem to notice EVERY time a DBU character is brought into play, there is ENDLESS badgering and criticism. It doesn't stop. People, sometimes (but not all of the time) will not even give simple reasonable points. Why is DBZ hated so? It seems to me that some cannot take their precious comic characters losing to a DBU character, because they consider them inferior. It is getting old really fast.
DBU deserves much more credit than it is given. If not for plot, then for power. They are some strong, strong beings. One of the highest character/power ratios I have seen. Speed too.
There are a million points I am trying to make with one aggravated post, I guess this is just venting for me.
But if you are one of those people who hate DBZ, then please, tell me why?
And what justification does it give you to put down its' facts?

Your first two points have nothing to do with vx. threads what so ever. The third and fourth don't really make sense either. Just because they're a lot of idiots who overestimate the serie's characters to highly shouldn't affect your desision, nor does it affect the series itself. Just because a lot of people say Goku can beat Superman, who he can't, doesn't mean that Goku couldn't kick the crap out of Spiderman, who he could. Well, unless we're talking about Spidey with an insanely cheap power up, but that was just an example, you get the idea.

Though to be honest I don't really see the hatred twards DBZ that Rikeen is reffering to. A lot of people seem to place DBZ characters stats lower than I percive them, but that's understandible since DBZ stats are debatable. Except that whole Goku can't destroy planets thing, that one still anoys me...but I digress. I don't really seem to see much drastic undestimation or hatred tworads DBZ characters, at least not in this guild. There were several such threads in the AMC, but, you know, that was the AMC.

Number 1 proves nothing. And in the first place, before you judge the animation, you have to judge the manga. And the style of the manga is just as good as any other. Blame FUNimation if you have animation complaints. Don't blame the series itself.

Number 2 is based off your opinion only. Again, it proves nothing.

Number 3 has nothing to do with anything. Fans don't constitute how good or bad a series is. Judging a series off of fan action is hellishly biased.

Number 4 is based off number 3, therefore it also has nothing to do with anything.

Actualy I would lean more twards-

SSJ and ridiculous amount of power coming fom nowhere=cheap

Captain Universe Spidey=Also cheap.

Altough I actualy don't think either of them are cheap, I just used the word cheap because...I don't know.

I actually like the series, I often argue against DBZ because I feel the character being compared is better. Hank Pym is my favorite character in Comics and if put up against ost of the DBZ universe would lose in a fight. It has nothing to do with a bias against DBZ, hell in Kyles original thread I supported Goku originally but was given enough proof to feel otherwise.

I even recall a moment in this guild, probably about a year ago, when someone said that Goku benches less than 40 tons . . .
