I was thinking that we could just have a random chatter thread (not spamming like in the Chatterbox of course). Sorry if this isn't appropriate. I just thought it would be cool to have a thread that we could just post about things outside of philosophy too. So yeah. mrgreen

I have some good news to share! I recently got back my SAT score - I got 2240 (out of 2400)!! I'm really excited, because this means that I might not have to take it again when I'm a junior/senior. So yay! whee

I have no idea what good SAT scores are, so I'm going with everyone else and saying GOOD JOB! Gaah, I'm scared of finals, too. Oh god, I have a DBQ on Wednesday. I hate them!

What's a DBQ?

document-based question.
you get documents, i.e. charts/maps/excerpts and then "scaffolding"; questions about the documents. then you have to write an essay based on a question and using the documents...in my experience, you have to mention one more than half of the documents in your essay (i.e. if their are eight documents, use 5).
