Let's debate which style of play is the best and why.
Aggro - Aggressive play with either creatures or spells which take your opponents life down quickly.
Examples: Green Beats, White Weenie and Suicide Black (but aggro decks can really be any colour)
Control - Controlling aspects of your opponents play by controlling their hand, killing their creatures countering their spells or locking them down in some other fashion.
Examples: Mono-Black Control and Mono-Blue Control (but control decks can really be any colour....)
Combo - A deck that is built a round a particular group of cards with good synergy that will win the game for you. This may be a creature combined with an enchantment or equipment, or a series of spells which insight doom.
Examples: ChannelBall (Channel and FireBall), Dragon Combo (Animate Dead+ Worldgorger Dragon) and Neo-Academy (Tolarian Academy + Stroke of Genius)

I really enjoy control. I can't really bring myself to play anything else.
If I just sit there with a bevy of creatures in front of me and I have nothing to get rid of theirs, I just hate it.
What do you prefer to play?

Control all the way. Combo decks are fun, but aggro just annoys me. It sucks so much to go from a control deck, where the feild is pretty much open for you to manipulate, to an aggro deck. Bleh... I feel helpless like that.

I also prefer control.
But I know that an agro metagame is more fun. I don;t quite know why yet.

personaly it depends on what color i'm playing at the time, if i'm playing red my deck is loaded with tons of (x) cost damage spells that will tear into my oponent and his creatures (as well as a boisium strip or two biggrin )
if i play something like black or blue i go with things that control my oponents actions, for example my bruse deck concentrates on getting my oponents hand as small as possible, limiting his choices for what to do
if i play green it's all about the monsters baby, get them out, get them in and bite a chunk out of his life.
and finaly if i play a white deck i'm a protection monger, anything that will keep you from getting at me.
once i tried to do an Artfact deck, (before the mirrodin block)... it didn't work out that well, but it was more of an agro deck if that counts sweatdrop

i don't know what your talkin bout but i say control and my brother is still teaching i'm like still a beginner although i know the basics and we're moving on to the harder stuff

i like good combos. my favorites include:
Fierce Empath, Spidersilk armor, Plated Slagwurm
(artifact deck only) Broodstar, Cranial Plating, Whispersilk cloak
(snow deck only) Rinefeather Owl, Rinescale Dragon
Panglacial Wurm, Hibernation's End
Dark Depths, Privileged position
Teysa Orzhov Scion, Skeletal vampire
(arcane decks only) Replicate, Ire of Kaminary
Faiths Fetters(or any other similar card), Sheltering Ancient

I personally like a quick fun game. So Ill go with aggressive/burn decks.
