ok,so I found out me and my best friend ex- boyfriend was broken up with his girlfriend(she broke up with him) and I told her(my best friend) that they broke up,that made our day,so then I get home, and he talked to me on AIM,the usual hey sup wanna chill I cant sorry etc. I then ask if we are cool, like friends or w/e he was like yeah,so then I ask about his gf.He's all what are you talking about,so I know they broke up,and somehow like usually when we talk,we got into a fight, and they piss me off more than anything, fighting with him,it hurts me,I can't stand it.I told him that today,I said I'd not do anything to piss him off,cuz thats how we usually fight. So what I'm asking is do you think we should still be friends after all of the fighting we do?

Honestly hun, that's your call. I ended up fighting with my friend for almost a year, and I dug myself a hole, and filled it up with water. And I'm still trying to get all the water out (metaphorically). Anyways, sometimes friends become closer from arguing, try to find out what you fight over the most and try to evade it as best as possible. If it gets too deep though, it doesn't hurt to take a break. heart heart heart heart heart

Agreed; it's totally your call. Really, it's whatever would make you feel the best. Also, he may not even view it as fighting. Who knows.
If you need to, though, you could find out WHY you fight, etc. :] That might help, too.
