Alrighty, I don't understand linear equations like this one:
If a car costs 9000 dollars, and it drops in value 900 dollars every month, how long will it take for the car to be worth nothing?
I know the answer is 10 months, but I don't know how to graph it.
Help, please? heart

I'm not really good with graphs either. xDDD
Make a graph, and then...
Have the y-axis be $'s, and have the x-axis be months.
And then start out on the first month with $9,000 and go down $900 each month, and yeah.
If you want the equation for it, I think you'd hafta find the slope and then plug it all into the y=mx+b thingy... Not sure. Sorry! T crying T

I WAS going to paint a mock-paint graph, but my energy forbids me to do so.
Yeah, just like Guak said. ^__^
Just put the Months on the bottom (x-axis) and the Number of money on the y-axis, and just keep making the bars decrease in height 'til it reaches zero! @_@;
Did that make any sense? I'm not sure of myself sometimes. xD

I just had my test on it, and I finished, like, over an hour before everyone else.

Ok what you do is make the value of the car the Y value, and the number of months X. The car is worth 9000 dollars at 0 months. Every month it drops 900 dollars so after one month it is worth 8100 dollars so you'd plot the point 1, 8100. Repeat for the second: 2, 7200 all the way until you get down to zero.
