I know there are loads of fantasy flicks with witch fact and fiction, some are total bogus whilst some still have truth behind a bit of what is done.

Like for example in the wizard of oz, witches don't melt when in contact with water. XD I find that one most amusing... So take a look at some movies with "witches" in them and see if there is any truth or it's all just bull.

Also, discuss your veiws on movies that include witches.

The Craft was a movie that really got me into Paganism. I knew it was complete crap, but it was interesting, and the parts about nature and the butterfly scene were really cool. =D

I liked the Craft as well, but the time I got to watch it again was after I was into witchcraft. Some of the crap they pulled was total fodder. But certain things they said and such were a little right... and I mean very very little. XD

I personally liked Simple Magic ( I think that's it's name ) starring Sandra Bullock.

That would be Practical Magic, I believe. xD I liked that movie too, but I haven't seen in it so long I don't remember anything except something vaguely about a dead body...

Practical Magic rings a bell, I'm not sure if I've seen it or not. Maybe I'll rent it and the Craft, and have a Halloween movie night. xD

When I feel like I laugh I quite enjoy Hocus Pocus. I had it on video once but recorded over it. cry

I haven't seen the Craft in so long I've forgotten nearly ALL of it...

Practical Magic is cute, and I really do like Hocus Pocus if I'm in the mood for amusement. I think it's hilarious. Vaccum cleaners!

Another I like that hasn't been mentioned yet is Bell, Book, and Candle. It's an old movie about a witch who can't fall in love and can't cry. It goes through the antics her family pull while she's trying to run a more subdued life...My mother got it for me since I have a cat names Pyewackett and so does the protagonist witch. heart Very cute.

Oh, while I remember, there was a beautiful movie on tv down here a while back called Little Oberon. I adored it, but sadly the vcr munched up the video. It never came out at the movies, it was designed just for tv, but it was great. And from what I could work out at the time, fairly true to the craft as well.

The Covenant was interesting. It focused on witchcraft as an heredity thing, through the men. It was definitely interesting, and went into the history of John Putnam and such. It was fun, but the magic was a bit hokey for my taste. Still a good movie.
Still Hollywood. confused
