Shamans are people who connect this world to the next, the spirit realm. However, as humanity grows further and further away from spirituality, the world order begins to crumble. Every 500 years, a star appears to signal the destruction of the earth, and every 500 years, Shamans from all over the world gather to the Shaman Fight, where the winner can become Shaman King and meet with the Great Spirits and save the world.
Near one of the rivers of the Kansai area in Japan, a residence the size of a small mansion sits, where the Kuromatsu Shamans live and train youths of all ages to become Shamans and participate in the Shaman Fight. The five masters teach the Hyoui Gattai and Oversoul, along with encouraging unique and refined techniques. The weekends give way to sparring matches between the kids as they learn strategy and instinct. Will they make it? Time will tell, when the star of destruction appears.

She is skinny, but not too skinny. She generally wears white, or black. Who are you? She is the healer of the family. She helps the family teach, and keep the kids in line. She is nice, but can get irked sometimes rather easily.

Appearance: He's a bit tall for a Japanese man, with greying black hair and stern olive eyes. He has a strong build, though he doesn't look like a muscleman.
Who are you? Maro-sama is the head of the Kuromatsu family, leader of the five masters. He makes the rules, and enforces them with zeal. But although he is rough and serious, he has a strong compassion that grants him patience and acceptance toward almost anyone. He is a dao-shi and commands a troop of corpse puppets, Kyonshi.

Appearance: She's a cute little blue-and-black-haired kiddie, with blue eyes and glasses. She's a little bit on the chubby side, and tends to wear bright clothing, as many small children do.
Who are you? A shaman-in-training who hails from Osaka. Neither of her parents are shamans, so she is learning from the Kuromatsu clan. Des is mostly friendly, but tends to be impatient and demanding, and can be quite the arrogant little brat. She likes to challenge the people who are in authority over her, which sometimes gets her in trouble.

Character's name: Wei “Cyth” Watanabe
Age/Birthday: 11, September 9th
Appearance:
Red spiky hair, red eyes, white shirt, dark orange jacket, brown pants, orange shoes with a fire design on them.
Who are you?
Wei’s parents hoped for a normal child, and yet gave him a Chinese name (Neither parent knew Chinese very well, so picked something easy to remember). Life for Wei was pretty normal for a while until the age of 8, when he started to make an attitude for himself. By this time he had 2 other brothers, which made Wei an outcast in his family due to his un-normal behavior.
Wei became sick of his Chinese name and wanted people to call him “Cyth”, some name he came up with. He has sort of a tough guy personality and speaks what is on his mind, even during times where he should keep it shut.
How does this guy find his way to the mansion? Some person in a robe that he ran into said that Cyth had “hidden potential and could make a great shaman king” and directed him to the mansion. Feeling like he had nothing to lose he approached it. With no real friends and his family near rejecting him, he feels there is nothing to lose.

Age/Birthday: 7, he thinks his birthday is on the 8th of November
Appearance: Hazuki is a short boy (but he swears he’ll grow to be as tall as a basketball player) is tanned with dark green eyes. His sun-dyed brown hair is never combed; he insisted that combing isn’t necessary. Similarly, his clothes are usually just plain muddy brown shirts that used to be white once upon a time, he hates wearing shorts so he usually wears mini-sized, dirty jeans.
Who are you?
An orphaned boy who sneaked into the Kuromatsu estate one particular night, and got caught doing so. He had always been able to see spirits and the like but thought it was something everyone can do, until he was told otherwise.
After hearing about the shaman king, Hazuki persistently asked the Kuromatsu to take him under their tutelage, believing he is destined to be the next shaman king. He tends to be a bit on the cocky side, but is actually quite a crybaby.

She has a sweet look about her that would make you think shes a big scardy cat. A pic of Ying Ai!Who are you? Well, Ying Ai is a scardy cat, but she will do what ever she has to, even if it works past her fears, for peace. She wants to become Shamen King (Queen) so she can put an end to senseless killing. She will work as hard as she will have to to be number one. She grew up in a big estate with her parents and older sister, who were Necromancers, and they weren't sure quite how to teach her, so they sent her to learn her craft, as it were.

Appearance: Bald, tall, and very muscular for his age. His almost jade eyes are a little...what's the word I'm looking for....dull compared to his younger brother Maro's. His choice of apparell is reminiscent of a Shaolin monks; ropes, robes, and beads. The works.
Who are you? Hoshi Kuromatsu is the eldest of the Kuromatsu clan, but not it's leader. His younger brother Maro, possessing much more spiritual talent, was given that privilege. Still, with his obvious talents, he is a proud member of the clan, contributing in the shaping of young Shamans.

Appearance: Bara is a woman of average height, slightly plump but with a face that makes her look younger than she is. She has gold eyes and thick, black hair, pulled back in a low braid. She typically wears loose clothing and a beaded necklace.
Who are you? Bara is an itako, one who can summon spirits who have already passed on to the afterlife and channel them into shamans. She has a strong personality and is usually sporting a grin, but has a hot temper and is easily affronted. Maro is her husband, and when she gets angry, only he can calm her down.

Appearance: Jou doesn't really have a lot of hair, because he buzzes it down to be just a bit of fuzziness. His eyes are a bright, pretty green. He wears a black jacket over black clothing, and a chakra necklace.
Who are you? Jou is the youngest of the five masters, but is said to be a genius son near to Maro's level of skill. He is very intelligent, but sort of an impatient teacher, especially concerning the younger kids, due to only recently becoming a master in their family, and also due to being a moody teenage boy. His primary spirit is a giant squid named Marlowe.

Age/Birthday: 4, 29th of May
Appearance: Kia has greenish eyes that are close to brown and black hair that is above her shoulder it is usually decorated with cute hair clips. Kia walks around in cute little girl shirts of bright colours with cartoon characters on them. (She likes Hello Kitty best) She usually wears shorts of similar colours and sandals.
Who are you? Another Kuromatsu kid, Kia has no interest on being the shaman king (or queen for that matter) yet but still train because it’s a ‘family thing’. She’s a mischievous tomboy who could be lazy, but is actually a pretty good shaman for her age. Kia could be very clingy to her cousin Jou, much to his annoyance.

Gaia Username: Zen FallPaw Character's name: Dustin Age/Birthday: 23 / August 24 Appearance: [link] Dustin is on the tall side, probably around 6'4" or so. Piercings not visible are a nose-stud, and a lip ring, as well as his other ear which is symmetrically pierced, but with a different array of studs versus rings. His covered eye has a congenital cataract, causing his vision in that eye to be similar to when one walks from a lit room into a dark room - he can perceive light and shape, but very poorly and little else. Because there is still some vision in the eye, it alters his overall perception, and since his other eye is healthy as can be he chooses to cover the cataract for the best vision possible. Who are you? Dustin is an interesting fellow, indeed. He has the innocence of a child despite his age, and his logic is a tad bit skewed in that direction, too. It's not just his personality, though, it's a semi-rare mental disorder - but regardless he's incredibly intelligent and learns fairly quickly... the catch is, he does not learn in a very traditional sense, and it can take a few tries for him to catch onto something. He's very kind hearted, and will put someone else in front of himself almost without thinking, regardless of who they are, or even if he knows them or not. He's fairly high energy and athletic. Though he typically has a very childish personality, he can be very serious if the situation calls for it, though his judgment for such situations can be off.
