As much as I enjoy sitting at a computer all day, I think it is time we are given some "field assignments" to put our skills to better use.

Aperium Can you please elaborate on your ideas and suggestions? Honestly, I was hoping others would do that for me. But I was thinking along the lines of recruiting... or community service or something out there... Something active.

Well I would do that, but I really dont know where this group is politically really. Are we more associated with communism (which I am a huge advocate of) or are we more capitalist?

The party isn't doing much of anything at the moment. My goal was to get some activity back in the guild before we worried ourselves about that too much. As for political standing; in the past we have always erred toward capitalism, with socialist tendencies. Unfortunately we have had no active discussion on this, or related topics in some time. With the changing demographic of Novos, it is possible that some of the long held policies may be modified... we shall see. If any of you are interested in discussing the ideas of the party or what the party, and its members, should do, please head on over to the Party subforum. There is also the Guild Management subforum for such tasks as guild recruiting and cleaning.

If I had to suggest a task for you to do, it would simply be going out into Gaia and talking about Novos, and hopefully directing lots of people to the guild. Recruitment is key for now, and it will always be very important. Other than that, everyone need to keep posting in the guild, even if it's just a bump in Novos Nonsense. Hopefully we will get some discussion going soon and we may have clearer and better instructions. However, until we know what to do, we must talk about what we need to do.

Well, thankfully, from what I've seen guild participation is up quite a bit from when I first joined a month or so ago. The very best thing we can do right now is discuss the political and economic philosophies, bring in more people to discuss said philosophies, and look at and revise our position. Revise and refine.

Discussion is all fine and dandy, but sitting infront of a computer all day gets boring. How about we do some recruiting or something?

Getting more people to help participate in discussions would be great.

Recruiting, in the more familiar sense of the world, would be almost impossible. As it is, the people in this guild aren't even all from one country, much less a state or city. By building an internet network of people who *talk* about it - even if they don't agree - you're recruiting. We can't go out and physically recruit people until we have a much, much larger backing. So we do internet recruiting.
That is, unless you want to go out in the streets and be the insane person trying to "bring people the light of international government."

Ha! Ask Aperium and Myslec, that "insane person" thing might actually fit my personality. Heh heh, but we could promote novos through, Oh, I don't know... My band. All of us, my band mates and I-- are on gaia and the majority of our fans are on gaia too. I don't know. Sitting infront of a computer all day just gets really boring at times.

Getting publicity in ther real world would not be bad if we had somewhere good to direct them... Which reminds me that I need to get to work on the website.

In direct discordance with the popular song/poem, the revolution in fact will be podcasted. Our basic grounding for this group will most definitely be the internet. Whatever you want to do on the 'net to publicize Novos is fine, I s'pose, but anything beyond that is thinking too far ahead.

I agree with Swordmaster Dragon on this. There may come a time when we can reach out of the virtual realm, but we have a lot to do before that can happen.
