Scarlet Soul

Rules; we all hate ‘em, but of course, they still apply. Basically, the rules of the guild apply here. I have been the self-appointed dictator, but I’m a nice dictator, so if you follow the rules, I will remain as such.

Over a thousand years ago, in an alternate universe, the world was torn in half by two different communities; the vampires and the soul splicers. It was a harsh place; trusting was almost impossible. It was an unspoken, highly enforced rule that if any splicers met up with vampires, they were to kill each other. It’s possible to find anything you can imagine, and maybe some things you can’t.
Keep in mind that I am a firm believer that a plot line will evolve in the RP at some point, so I'm just giving y'all a base in which to work off of.

Things to know about splicing:
Soul splicing is exactly what it sounds like; the soul separates from the body. The soul has the ability to be substantial at will, fly, and cannot be killed. The body, while the soul is absent, cannot be killed either. However, the soul cannot remain outside the body forever. If the soul lets go of the body while in the middle of a splice, the soul will immediately be sent into the afterlife; the only way that the splicer can die while separated. The soul will become tired from being primarily insubstantial for so long and could shut down if the temptation to stay out of the body is too great. Souls of splicers can also enter another’s body and contend with the victimized body’s soul for possession of the body, but only if the splicer’s soul and will is stronger. If not, then the soul is trapped within the body of the possessed until the possessed lets the soul out or the soul lets go of life. Possession is a skill that only Masters try, and there are very few splicer Masters.
The number one down side in this very enviable and powerful skill is that every splice knocks one year off of the life span of a splicer. Most splicer live to be thirtyish, at most, and any that are older become Elders of their village. Far more often than not there is no Elder. Elders override even Masters when it comes to decision making.
Finally, after a splicer soul splices for the very first time, they will become addicted and dependant on that ability. If they do not splice for quite some time, their muscles will seize up and will knock them to the ground, which will then be coupled and eventually replaced by a burning desire to splice.

That’s the most I can think of about splicing right now, I might add other rules later; I don’t know yet. Yes, I came up with splicing on my own, and I think it would be an awesome thing to be able to do. As for vampiric characters, I'm very lenient as to what powers you wish to have, as long as you don't make them uber indestructable or something equally dumb.

Mmm, another rule for vampires. In order to change someone into a vampire, one must be bitten and then the bitten person has to bite the vampire back.

Dislikes - Ignorance, Futality, Stupid Clients, Perverts, Slutty Women.
Fears - "Hahahahaha!"
Goals - To take control over the minds and souls of every single "interesting specimen" in existence.

Power - The ability to control others through the use of "The Crimson Puppeteer Strings" which he controlls using the demonic powers which he posseses, the ability to switch bodies with another person through the use of "The Crimson Puppeteer Strings", the ability to switch places (as in his physical position) through the use of "The Crimson Puppeteer Strings", The ability to consume the souls of enemys through the use of "The Crimson Puppeteer Strings", allowing him to summon them at will, and the ability to summon "his true self".
Super Attack 1 :
The March of Fools - Releases "The Crimson Puppeteer Strings" from the tips of his fingers in every direction, the ends becoming razor sharp and can bounce off walls until they peirce the ground itself. Whomever the strings peirce into, will be completley and utterly under Fritz's control, and can be manipulated, so long as the threads are in tact.(Can't be used on "PC"s).
Super Attack 2 :
Soul Feast - Releases "The Crimson Puppeteer Strings" from the tips of his fingers in a single direction, the ends becoming razor sharp and can peirce through only exactly 4 colomns or walls until it stops completley. Whomever and whatever it peirces, Fritz will be able to drain 10% of their life force and use it to heal himself.
Super Attack 3 :
Mind Feast - Releases "The Crimson Pupeteer Strings" from the tips of his fingers in a single direction, the ends becoming razor sharp and can follow a set target for a maximum of seven minutes before driving itself straight into the ground. When the strings peirce it's target, they will travel through the targets body and into his or her brain, draining the person of all of their knowledge and combining everything they know with all that Fritz knows. Perfect interrogation technique. (Cannot be used on PC's).
Final Attack :
Abbadon - Transforms into his "True Self". Turns into a large, green netherwordly beast, usually only it's head being revealed while the rest of his body is submereged in the ground. Whenever he opens his mouth, a vile swarm of crickets, locusts, and man eating bugs fly out from his mouth, devouring his opponets almost insantly. Not much else is known about this particular form, seeing as he has only used this technique once before.
Origins - From birth, Fritz was born with the powers of one of the 9 princes of hell. Belial, in particular. The ability to control time and space has been with him ever since he was born. But why was he born with them? How was he born with the powers of one of the 9 princes of hell? His "parents" were of an ancient german cult, wishing to dominate the Earth by possessing 9 newborn children with the powers of the 9 princes of hell. Fritz was the 4th out of 12 children that was possesed, 2nd out of 9 that were succesful. Sadly though, they may have the princes powers, but they do not possess their overwhelming will to do evil and control the world. Nearly a year afterword though, the group had been disbanded, most of their members being killed off by crusaders. A powerful, rich German family adopted Fritz almost immediatly after, yearning to use his powers to their own personal gain.

Timeline -
1368 - Fritz was born.
1375 - Fritz murders his parents. Becomes aware of his power. Leaves home.

1380 - Fritz gets adopted by a "Erhhardt Weber".
1381 - Becomes adept in the use of his power.

Name: Raven
Age: 17
Appearance:User Image
Splicer
Bio: Raven's mother was a soul splicer who died in childbirth while her father was part of the hunting tribe in their village. He raised his little girl by himself, making the pair very close. However, when she was twelve, he was killed in a struggle with bandits. The community fought a quiet and fierce battle about who would take her in; no one wanted to raise a half-breed with a splicer blood running through her veins. Raven finally got sick of being fought about and vanished into the forest with the weapons her father used; double chakras. Nonetheless, she taught herself how to wield the chakras and got a bit of a handle on her soul splicer abilities, forced to learn from the harsh living arrangements around her. When she did finally return to her community, most cast her out with pure disdain at her tainted blood.
However, there was one person who seemed to look past the human and the splicer in her and saw the real Raven. Her name was Chandra. She was tall and beautiful with ancient royal bloodlines. Raven was still innocent to the world, and trusted foolishly. Chandra only had eyes for Raven's soul splicing. The woman wanted power, and she found it in Raven. Eventually, Raven finally saw this and was furious. She spliced and all but destroyed the village, and when she finally returned to her body, there was nothing left. Horrified at what she had done, she vanished again, and it was that day that Raven cast off her innocence and became the seemingly harsh girl she is now. She can wield her chakras just as well as her father, but she still struggles with learning all she can about her soul splicing. She quickly rose in rank at the new village she moved to, and is now one of the top splicers...anywhere.

Personality:Raven's dominant personality trait is a "Cooler-Than-Thou" type of vibe that she has no problems extending to any and all that cross her path. She isn't exactly malicious, but her antisocial tendencies make her seem as such. She learned early on how to create an iron grip on her emotions and act like she doesn't care, even if she really does. In reality, she's a bittersweet girl who sticks up for those who can't or won't stick up for themselves. That in itself creates a terrible weakness; she can't stand asking for help herself. Even if she knows she needs it, she will not ask. She doesn't trust, either, which creates other flaws. Believe it or not, she does actually cry, though no one has really seen that. The woman had to close out words and opinions early on because she was a half-breed; welcome neither to humans nor elves. However, she has a smart mouth that can and has put her into all sorts of trouble; her excuse is that people just run headlong into things and it's just too tempting. It really is possible to break through the cold front she's held up so long. It just takes a lot more work than most people are willing to put into it.

Weaknesses: FIRE FIRE FIRE SCARY!!!! Yes, she fears fire greatly. She will not ask for help, will not back down, and more than likely will kill you before she trusts you. She is human and can be killed by conventional methods, it's just a matter of being that much better than she is.

Fritz stared up at the rusty grey ceiling of the prison transport. The large, sand sailing ship continued its slow march across the desert sands, kept aloft by some mysterious technology that Fritz cared nothing for. He was simply waiting. Waiting for just the right moment. Slowly a guard walked by, and looked over at Fritz, still in his Majestic 5 uniform, looking dully at the ceiling. The guard broke into a sly grin, and pulled out a gun. Fritz's head lowered, his peircing red eyes gazing into the guards own. The guard sneered at Fritz. " Is it true that if I shoot you, you won' die?" He asked, slowly pulling back the hammer of his gun. Fritz sneered back at the guard. " Is it true that all soul splicers are sub-human pansies trying to find a meaning to their worthless existence?" Fritz asked, smiling slyly back at the guard. The guard's face went red with anger. "What did you say, punk!?" The guard roared, his arm shaking. Fritz smiled warmly back at the guard, his boyish German looks standing out. He sat up straight and chuckled softly. "You heard me... You worthless excuse of a man... You do not contain the testicular fortitude to shoot me... Hah... Wertloses Mannweibchen." Fritz said cheerfully, sounding youthful, like a young school boy. The guard yelled wildly and began to pull the trigger of his gun, firing at Fritz.

Every single shot missed.

It was not because the guard was inexperienced. It was not because the guard had bad aim. It was also most definantly not because the guard was too afraid to shoot Fritz, or was not willing to. It was the fact that two sharp crimson strings shot from Fritz's now outstretched fingers, the ends of the strings penetrating the mans skull through the flesh of his eyes, peircing through the mans brain and escaping through the back of his skull. Fritz chuckled softly, and snapped his fingers.

Within a split second, Fritz was outside of his cell.

He used his "Crimson Puppetteer Strings" to switch places with the guard, making it so that he was outside and the now dead guard was in the jailcell. Fritz looked down at his feet, and smiled. There, right next to his right foot, was the jail cell keys. Fritz chuckled softly, his soft, boyish voice floating through the jail cells. Slowly, Fritz began to open the jail cells one by one by one, letting loose the prisoners trapped inside.

The jailbreak had begun.

Raven sighed, leaning against the railing of the sand sailer. All around her, the sand sparkled gold in the bright sunlight, threatening to partially blind her. It rolled just like water around her. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, making it unbearably hot. This sailer was the VERY last place she wanted to be.
She was transfering to a new soul splicer community, and of course she had to ride on the crappiest vessel they could find for her. Why? She didn't know. Probably because nobody at the other community liked her at all because she refused partnership and was sickeningly better than most people at what she did. She smiled a small, dark smile at that thought.
"At the cost of splicing 34 times; already I'm getting close to pushing my luck," she muttered softly.
Suddenly, a yell broke through the air, startling the soul splicer. She leapt to her feet, her chakras already in her hands. Her black hair framed her face, which was twisted in wariness, disdain, and a general intolerance that had made her so dislikable at the community.
"Jailbreak!" the desperate cry rang around the ship. Raven groaned to herself, her piercing eyes rolling up in exasperation.
"Just my luck. I try to get from one place to another and of course, there has to be a flipping jailbreak," she said aggravatedly. She had no patience with these people today, and she had heard that those that were imprisoned on this ship were a bunch of vampires.
"I hate this," she muttered, all but stomping to the hatch that led below the deck and throwing it open.
A wave of vampires came up to meet her, which sent her backflipping across the ship. Her silver chakras bit into the closest enemy before her before the other splicers on the ship took over. Raven hurtled down the stairs and looked into the jail cells.
There was one jail cell unopened. An unfortunate guard lay within the bars, mutilated. She spun her chakras in her hands and turned around.
"Who else is in here? For once, humor me, because I am in no mood for this kind of crap today," she said irritably. Vampires. They were all the freaking same.

Fritz walked calmly through the door at the other end of the indoor holding cell area, slowly climing a set of stairs up towards the upper deck. His mission as of now would be to learn everything the captain knows and kill him. After that, he would be free to sail the ship towards an area nearest his destination. He would have to meet his client first, to find out what the true meaning of all this was. Getting purposley forced into a maximum security jail was not fun...

Who was he kidding. Of course it was.

Fritz looked up at the sky, and sheilded his face from the sun. He was not like other vampires. Such weak pathetic creatures they were, dying from the sun. Fritz did not see the sun as some big bad weakness.

He just hated it.

Fritz walked along the upper deck, slowly comming closer and closer to an elevator. There, he would be able to access the tall spire in which the captains quarters were located, as well as the steer. As Fritz continued to walk, he was completly ignored by most of the guards, rushing to defeat the massive amount of vampires that had been set loose. Closer and closer Fritz went, until suddenly, the elevator doors opened, and five guards rushed out from the open elevator doors. They roared as they aimed their machine guns. Sadly though, Fritz was far too fast. All he had to do was raise his fingers, once more his gloves being punctured by "The Crimson Puppeteer Strings" as they shot out from his fingers, immidiatly peircing his opponents. Ten strings shot out. Five strings hit each one of the guards gun arms, making them drop their gun, whilst the other strings peirce the guards brains, making them simply stand there, brain dead. The string cut themselves off from Fritz's fingers, and the guards fell dead.

Fritz continued his slow waltz towards the elevator.
PostPosted: Fri Sep 15, 2006 9:19 pm

Raven waited belowdeck for what seemed like hours and got no answer. Her face contorted into extreme annoyance as she stomped back up the dimly lit stairs.
"Damn you all!" she said to their bodies, irritated. Most were laying all over the place because they had to be stupid and waltz out into the sun and burn themselves. There was melted skin in some areas, which just made her wrinkle her nose in disgust. Stupid vampires with their stupid ideas and escape plans. No brains in any of them, seriously, with a little thought process, she might have a little bit more respect for her opponents.
"Less work for me," she muttered darkly. Her trained eyes swung around the deck, looking for the person who started all of this. It wasn't any of these small fry scattered about her; they were the lackeys. It was obvious, considering that it would take some form of thought processing to be able to excape from a maximum security sailer. Idiots running out in the sun when they can't take it obviously had no thought processing.
Her eyes lit upon a tall man who was walking into an elevator. He had an air about him that he was better than everyone else. Raven crept up behind him until she was ten feet away.
"Hey you. Just where do you think you're going?" she asked. "Don't play games with me, either. I'm not in a generous mood." Her tone was disdainful, like she would much rather be doing something else than associating with this a** of the vampire.

((Ick, short and crappy, but I"m tired...))

Fritz stopped right ouside of the elevator. He slowly pressed the "Up" button, and turned towards the young girl whom had just called his name. He sighed softly at the sight he saw, and shook his head in what seemed like a sympathetic gesture. He opened his eyes and gazed at the young girl, slowly releasing a boyish laugh. "Nicht Dame mögen an allen. Sie erhalten sich einen Mann nie!" Fritz remarked. He eyed the young girl deviously, and slowly raised his hands. Fritz winked. "Boom..." Fritz whispered softly, the very second the elevator bell rang, the doors opening right behind him. Fritz smiled, stretching his hand out behind him.

He'd have to do something to keep the girl busy.

The "Crimson Puppeteer Thread" shot out from webs fingers, all of them hitting the inside of the elevator. Slowly, a somewhat large Maniquin dropped to the ground, staring lifelessly at the ceiling. It was strange, ugly, disformed. Slowly, the elevator closed again and slowly began to go upward, dragging along his thread and the strange doll with it.

Who would be better cover for himself than himself?

Raven stood tall to his face, lifting her chin a bit. THis was a guy who she was definitely NOT afraid of, despite that when she looked at him, he looked a lot like one of the vampires that led a major bounty hunter group. Raven knew her limits, and she knew that beating this guy in a hand to hand battle would be nigh impossible. But, if she was going to die, she was going to die fighting. When he spoke, her brow wrinkled slightly. Of course he couldn't speak English like a normal person.
But vampires aren't normal, she reminded herself. When he whispered, she caught the words by the movement of his mouth, and it was in English. So apparently he was at least capable of it.
Raven saw movement behind him on the elevator, but then again, the guy was well over six feet; she didn't see what that movement was. When she tried to look around him, the door had already closed. Yet he hadn't gotten in.
"Look, you, I don't know who you think you--" she began, but then her thigh muscles started twitching. She swore to herself a split second before her body seized up in terrible pain and tossed her to the ground.
Oh, of all the times-- she thought, biting her lip to keep from screaming as she forced herself to her feet and staggered until she had her weight supported on a box. How long had it been since she spliced? When she really thought about it, she figured three months, at least. She was overdue for this, but this was quite possibly the worst time for this to happen. She scowled at the vampire, angry at herself for being a vulnerable position and angry at him for causing problems. She had to get somewhere safe and splice as quickly as possible, but now, it was out of the question.

((Okay, so he's still outside the elevator, right? If not, let me know and I"ll change it.))

((Yes yes, he's outside of the elevator. Don't worry ^_^))

Fritz raised a brow, seeing the young girl leaning against a large box, obviously in pain. Was this some sort of trick? A strange womanly tactic to lure Fritz into feeling sympathy. He had seen something of the sorts done once or twice before, but he did not ever feel such a thing as "sympathy". In fact, he would usually kill the person right on the spot. But this pain, it seemed quite genuine. Fritz was about to do more, until a hail of gunfire from above rained down on the deck. They were shooting undescriminantly, blowing up boxes in every direction, as if they had as much skill at firing a gun as a deaf, blind, and dumb drunken monkey. Fritz growled and turned towards the source of the gunfire. The square, boxlike room at the very top of the elevator. Fritz slowly raised his hands, took aim, and fired. 9 crimson threads shot forth from his fingertips, and peirced the building.

The screams of the guards rang across the sky.

As soon as he cut the strings, bodies fell from the room, falling with a sickening "SPLAT" on the ground, their bodies being crushed from the very high drop. Fritz smirked, just to feel a burning hot bullet peirce his right arm, making a clean passage through the other side. Fritz clutched his arm and turned around, just to see even /more/ guards climing from where he had come. They released a hail of gunfire, once more indescriminantly. Bullets flew in every direction, destroying cargo, shattering glass, hitting every single place but him. He then saw one of the guards spotting the young girl, and taking aim at her.

What? Where they stupid?

Fritz cut the crimson threads on his fingers, all but one, and pointed a solitary finger at the guard, getting ready to fire at the defenceless young girl. Before the guard could shoot, Fritz shot, the razor sharp end of his thread peircing the guards brain. Fritz suddenly switched places with the guard, the guard lying limp, brain dead where Fritz used to be. Fritz now stood in the middle of the pack of guards. There were at least 9 of them. Fritz smiled wryly.

"Shiver me timbers...." Fritz said, chuckling softly.
PostPosted: Sat Sep 16, 2006 8:14 am

Raven glared at the vampire in front of her, waiting for him to do something, before she saw the guards of the sailer up above begin raining bullets on the ship without rhyme or reason.
"What the hell is wrong with you idiots?" she called up to them, trying to shield her face. "I'm still down here!" The vampire and the guards both ignored her, and the vampire raised his hands. Raven watched in confusion as nine...strings shot from his fingers and darted up to the guards. The confusion was replaced with a wince when their bodies collapsed to the ground with a bonecrushing thud. She shook her head; he was so destructive, but whatever, she supposed. More guards appeared on the deck, once again not giving a care at what they were hitting. Raven's patience hit zero when one of the aimed at her. She wouldn't get her chakra in his neck in time; she still hurt too much. She merely glared at him when another one of those scarlet threads zipped through his skull.
"Attractive," she said with a sneer, looking towards her very unexpected ally; at least for the moment. But he wasn't there. Raven looked in the middle of the guards when she heard his voice; it gave her a bit of a shiver at how utterly emotionless and unbothered he sounded.
The desire to splice was getting too great. She had to do it now. The girl limped down the stairs and wedged her body underneath them, hidden behind some boxes. Her eyes fluttered shut and her body tensed up again.
Within moments, her body looked asleep, and a silvery form that looked like Raven was standing on the deck. She sighed.
"35," she said in a soft, ghostly voice, shaking her head. She walked through the wall into the cabin to throw people off from where her body was, then jumped through the floor.
She appeared right at the vampire's back. She glared at the guards around them, or at least, what remained of them.
"Could you people get any more stupid? Shooting at an Adept Apprentice soul splicer from Tyra; really, now, you can do better than that," she said disdainfully, hovering centimeters off of the ground. She didn't know if her voice would scare these people or not; soul splicers were used to the ghostlyness of it and the insubstantial act, as were many vampires, but humans tended to get creeped out by it, at least.

Fritz didn't even have to look behind him to know that there was somone there. He smiled boyishly, his hair gently stroking his pale face, as the desert pushed against the ship. The guards took aim. Fritz didn't have time to care about them. His ears twitched as he heard alot more guards rushing up the steps. It was as if the whole ship was trying to stop them. Why they were shooting at their own ally, he did not know, nor did he even care. He had a single mission.

Capture the ship. Everything else is secondary.

Fritz smiled, and slowly raised his hands again. Fifteen more guards had joined the fray, turning nine guards to twenty four. But with what Fritz was about to do, twenty-four would soon be turning into four. Fritz's eyes glowed red, as he concentrated his energy into his next attack.

"March of fools!" Fritz exclaimed.

His Crimson Puppeteer Strings burst forth from his fingers once again, peircing the limbs of his enemys. But rather than aiming for the brain or the heart, his threads peirced the places where they would be the least deadly. The legs, arms, and their shoulders, seeming to bounce off their bodies, peircing at the very least eighteen of them, before the threads then shot themselves into the ground. Fritz grinned wildly, as the guards eyes rolled back in the sockets, slowly being controlled by the Crimson Puppeteer Strings, moving at Fritz will. The twenty guards raised their guns. Aimed. And fired at the guards rushing to assist. At least fifteen running guards were gunned down before they /finally/ realised that the guards on the top of the deck had lost it.

Raven watched in mild amusement as the vampire puppeteer behind her pulled out one of his aces. It would keep her informed of him when the need arose. However, she couldn't just sit there, and the vampire was busy with his little games. That left six to her to play with.
"Hmmm....what to do with you," she muttered; if they found her body, she was screwed, but as of now, she was basically invincible. No doubt they'd be looking for the body, now that they realized a splicer was on board. But she had no intentions of that being done. She thought back to the words of her Master.
"Raven, when you feel you are ready to possess, attempt it, but attempt it on me only," he had said. Not until she had learned. But she didn't have any other way to attack except trying to hit them; her chakras were with her body and she didn't have soul chakras. The purpose of a splicer was mostly for spy and assassin work, not front line fighting like this. This was what humans and splicers proficient in hand to hand combat while in their bodies were for. Hitting them was out of the question, considering they were well armored. After another moment of indecision about the course of action she was about to attempt, she raced towards the nearest guard and slipped into his body.
Inside was darkness and one person who looked beyond confused at where he was. Raven saw that he had a strange type of circlet on; she had to get it for herself.
"Hand over that circlet and maybe I won't hurt you too badly," she demanded, storming over to him with her hand out. He looked at her in fear but shook his head. Only the very weakest of souls would actually hand over control of their body willingly, but a splicer always attempted.
It took her a grand total of 13 seconds to dispatch him, take the circlet, and settle it over her own head. Instantly, she saw the world through his eyes. When she moved her arm, his moved with it.
"Well, that wasn't too difficult," she said, only her voice came out as that of a man's. She hefted the weapon in her hands and took aim at the nearest guard, delivering a swift shot to his throat. The other five guards were similarly easy, and then she went over to the railing of the ship and began to eliminate the ones on deck with a slow, easy efficiency.
After a time, though, the body started to go into overdrive from housing two souls at one time, which meant it was time for Raven to leave. She spliced easily and made her hands and shoulder substantial. She hefted the weapon, stood beside the vampire, and took aim at the guards below her.
"So, do you have a name or something?" she asked as she fired at one of them.

Fritz stopped, and looked over at the young girl. Most of the guards had already died, both from gunwounds and of blood loss, seeing as they were now bleeding heavily from the wounds his strings inflicted onto them. Fritz saw no more danger. Fritz gave a sweeping bow.

"Fritz Von Kampf.... World Class Bounty Hunter..." Fritz said softly.

Fritz smiled warmly at the girl, and then slowly turned towards the elevator. He had to remind himself. Capturing the ship was his top priority. Everything else is secondary. Fritz raised his hand up, the sole crimson thread leading up towards the elevator. He smiled, and suddenly he dissapeared, his strange, deformed puppet taking his place. Fritz grinned wildly as he exited the elevator, and walked right into the control bridge.

He stared down at the captain.

But to his surprise, he was already... Dead?
