I love fanfiction. I love writing it and I love reading it and I know other people do too, so I'm starting this thread as a place to issue challenges, and discuss fanfiction in general.

I have a whole list/folder section for FY fanfiction archives in my favorites list! stressed I love FY so much! Haha!
Do you know of any really good fics?

I know what you mean about being picky about what I read when it comes to fanfiction. I like stuff that's funny and/or well-written and there's so much gratuitous self-insertion and Mary Sue-ism and PWP stuff floating around on the net that when I find a good piece it's a big event and I go back and read it over and over again... sorry. I was rambling.
Seriously, I only add really good fics and authors to my favorites lists, so check around!

Admittedly, I don't have a lot of time to read fanfiction. Also admittedly, I haven't found a lot of very good fanfiction. My favourite author is Roku Kyu (if you know Purple Mouse, then you probably know of her, too! ^_^). She's such a talented author.

Hey, minna! Just thought I'd mention the big Mediaminer Fanfic Contest that's running until Dec. 30th. I'm submitting stuff and I think you should too. I've been super inspired to write, in fact I wrote almost obessively for about half an hour or so last night until I realized it was 1:45 and I needed to get a shower and go to bed. So, yeah. I encourage everyone to check out the contest and all the writers out there to submit your stuff. I have class in an hour (what the hell am I doing up this early?) so I should go get ready. Ja. ninja

I've been super inspired to write, in fact I wrote almost obessively for about half an hour or so last night until I realized it was 1:45 and I needed to get a shower and go to bed. So, yeah. I encourage everyone to check out the contest and all the writers out there to submit your stuff. I have class in an hour (what the hell am I doing up this early?) so I should go get ready. Ja. ninja
At the moment, I'm working on:
The Legend of Nu Kua (A Fushigi Yuugi fanfiction, probably around 80 chapters long...I have about 25 done so far...)
1000 Words (Final Fantasy X-2 fanfiction...I've only done two chapters, because my baby at the moment is Nu Kua...I wish I had more time for this one, though...)
Angels and Sparrows (Pirates of the Caribbean, I really wish I had more time because I have an OC that Jack DOESN'T fall in love with, and I'm very proud of that, because so many people do that to poor Capt. Sparrow...)
I also have ideas for the following:
A Legend of Zelda fic
A Harry Potter fic
A Spiderman fic
An X-men fic
I swear, I can never finish anything! Argh, I still need to find a beta for The Legend of Nu Kua. I don't want to even start posting it until it is PERFECT. Yeah, I figured out the hardway that it's a pain to post something when you have to write and update every few weeks...yeah...I'm still updating and writing that one with my co-author...whoops. Big mistake.
Anyway, I really need to finish this one up so I can get it edited and posted. I don't think I'll be able to die happy until it's done!

If anyone is interested I have a C2 community at ff.net (fic library/book club-like thingie). I have centered around Chichiri fics, but I mean the REALLY good ones that deserve recognition. Not the sappy badly written yaoi ones... Me and Neko-ane run it.
