I like the band, but Jack White is meant to be with the White Stripes. I like the White Stripes better. But the Raconteurs have good music. I have their album.

I bought their album the day it came out. biggrin I actually heard about them because I was surfing around iTunes and the acoustic version of "Steady, As She Goes" was the free download of the week. I clicked the link and read the description and almost SPAZZED when I read "Jack White's new band..." No, I take that back. I DID spaz. I just wish I had known about them earlier.
I really like them a lot. My heart will always be with the Stripes, but they are so different that you can't really compare them. Like I always say, the White Stripes is not just a band, it's a work of art. The Raconteurs? Jack White's attempt at a NORMAL band. That's all it is! And it does a pretty damn good job at it too. biggrin

I LOVE the Raconteurs, but I have to separate the White Stripes and the Raconteurs or else I end up comparing, which makes my brain hurt....my conclusion? They are different. One is not better or worse that the other. Just different.

I can never get enough of Jack White. I have the CD too, but was a little dissapointed that it only had 10 songs on it.
My favorites are Intimate Secretary, Store Bought Bones, Together, and Steady as She Goes. 3nodding
I almost got to see them in concert, but things came up...
And I really hope that they do another album...

I LOVE Store Bought Bones, it is ocassionally my favorite song (the only non-White Stripes)

I adore the Raconteurs. It's nice to be able to see Jack White come out of his shell a bit...but he is the principle half the the Stripeys...On Broken Boy Soldiers, I love Together. And Hands is good too.
Does anyone else here think that Jack Lawrence is cuuute... whee xp
I have a thing for nerds... mrgreen Those glasses... cool He's like Jack White gone more geeky...

They are all attractive, but I didn't really notice the rest of them until I saw them without Jack White. When I am watching Jack White it would take a lot to stand out.

I like them a lot, but I'm still having trouble with the whole Jack-and-a-band thing. I dunno. I've always ranted about wanting him to go solo, and there he goes creating a band... thanks Jack...
I think it's just that the sound of his vocals and a whole rock band behind that is unfamiliar and it freaks me out, makes me uncomfortable.
