-Typographical error is acceptable as long as the conversation or communication goes on smoothly,
-Avoid Chat-speak or abbreviated words,
-
Do not post anything that is of
Pornographic in nature.
-Keep street talking or any jargonize language to a minimum to avoid miscommunication or inadequate conversation, people may not respect you since you cannot handle the art of communication.
-Sexually oriented joke is acceptable, as long as it is not that blatant. There can be children present. Be creative! Use innuendos or subtle hints.
twisted but keep it to a minimum, this is art discussion guild, not SEX 101.
-No cybering or sex-online.
burning_eyes -No begging for items or gold
stare this is not a charity guild.
-Finally, do not post any thread in
Troiy's Work Shop Subforum if you're not interested in commissioning him. That forum is exclusively for Troiy and his clients only.
To the Buyer, Commissioner or Art Appreciator & Visitors-Try to maintain a healthy discussion with the artists.
-Share your ideas to the artist of your choice, things that suits you i.e taste and preferences.
-Avoid giving any comments or remarks that can insult the artist. If you don't like the style, then move to the next one. It's just plain rude to take the artist's valuable time if all you're going to do is flame.
stare Commissioning:-Whatever the transaction maybe[Gold or Items] it is between you and the Artist. I cannot take responsibility if you are careless enough to trust too easily. I'll do my best to invite honest artists, in turn, I expect the same integrity from you.
-Observe the artist work properly before commissioning. To avoid waste of time and energy on both part.
-Do not force or beg the artist to comply to your demands. It's their valuable time spent, paid in pixel gold, so be considerate. Choose an artist whose style and services offered pleases you. i.e Do not force a digital artist to do you a traditional. If they are willing to negotiate, that's fine, but a no is a NO. Don't force the issue.
3nodding -Once an agreement/contract is been made, stick with it. If circumstances prevents you from meeting your part of the deal, contact the artist.
-Keep in touch with your artist. Once an agreement is made, you may ask for initial sketches of your art. This is to ensure customer satisfaction but at the same time, the artist will know whether to continue or abort the commission.
-A breach of contract will earn you a bad reputation, and if repeated, I'll add your name to my
HALL OF SHAME. I suggest thinking over it wisely, before closing a deal.
-If the artist has decided to breach the agreement, cancel the trade with him/her. The artist will earn a bad reputation or lose future clients, so I'm sure this will rarely happen, if ever.
To the ArtistRequirement:-Artist of all level are welcomed.
-Be sure to have an
Online Gallery before you can set-up your shop here. This is for me to check if you're really an artist, and at the same time, it's one way of protecting your work from art theft.
-When setting up your shop, provide links yo your online gallery so that your client may see more of your works, this can help them decide.
-State your business, make it clear what services do you offer, i.e. illustrator, banner designer, digital artist, traditional etc...
-At your first post [shop] you are required to present at least 2 pics of your artworks to a maximum of 6 pics, and each pic must not exceed the maximum size of 400pixels
Commission-Whatever the transaction maybe[Gold or Items] it is between you and your Client. Once an agreement is made, I cannot intervene anymore. Be careful, be safe.
-Observe your client properly, you retain the right to turn down any offer you don't find satisfactory
3nodding -Be reasonable with your prices. Competitive price is the key!
-Once an agreement/contract has been made, stick with it. If any circumtances arise that prevents you from keeping your side of the deal, inform your client at once.
-You are expected to deliver what you have offered. So do not showcase any style/level of skill, then provide an obviously inferior one.
stare -This is just my way of dealing with my customers, you may have your own style: I won't start any sketch unless the customer initiates the trade with the agreed amount. Then, after the initial sketch is done, I'll show it to the customer to ensure customer satisfaction. I'll only give the art after I received the gold.
3nodding -A breach of contract is not acceptable. Remember, your reputation is at stake here. If circumstances prevents you from keeping the deal, explain to the customer the reasons why you can't continue. We're not machines nor are the customers, heartless monsters.
3nodding -If the Client has decided to breach the agreement after the sketches or drawings were already made, contact me, and I'll have him/her reported to the moderator.
