Does anyone here like or have you heard the old song that is in 13th century latin, written in the 13th century latin by defrauct monks in germany??.
Here's the translation of it. I LOVE this song, we're doing it for choir.
O Fate, like the moon you are changeable. Always waxing & waning. Hateful life, first opresses, then soothes,as fancy takes it. Poverty,Power, dissolves like ice, fate is montrous and empty.Rotating wheel, you are malevolent. Well being is vain & always fades to nothing.Shadowed & veiled, you plaque me to. Now through the game, I bear my back to your villany. Fate is against me, in health & virtue. Drive on, defeated, always enslaved. At this hour without delay, pluck the vibrating strings since fate strikes down the stringman. Everyone weep with me.

Hmm... for what I know, Carmina Burana is not really an old song. The music was written in the XX century, only the lyrics were taken by some poems from the medieval time. sweatdrop Or something like that... Orff is the composer. 3nodding

Forget just knowing that piece, my choir's actually performing in it this weekend!!! I totally love it!!! The city's symphony orchestra and chorus is doing it and my choir is fulfilling the children's choir part. It's brilliant work.
