In the lands of Barovia the nights are dangerous. Villagers are superstisious and are frightened of the night. Anyone caught outside when dusk disapears into night will not beable to find shelter. Those who don't find shelter at night are dead in the morning. Strahd the lord of the land has ruled Barovia for a century now. People call him the demon while others are his spies. His nature is a mystery and most say hes only alive because of the deep mgic he casted on hisself.

Rules!!!!
1) Any illeteracy (you people have heard me list it time and time again) and you're gone.
2) Break the character or natural law rules -without my consent before doing so- and you're gone.
3) Cursing out of character -in other words when using OCC of the double(())- and you're gone.
4) Please don't use (()) to say I'm leaving for the night. Just send the person a pm, it keeps the forum clean.
5) Don't post profiles!!!! You can rp as many as wanted, just be sure to make clear who is who.
6) If you are having a race other than Human or Vistani you have to pm me for permission first.

Character/Natural Laws & Info
1) The races are as followed; Humans, Elves, Undead Slaves, Vistani, Werewolves, and Vampires.
2) Human Laws- They live in the villages, jobs are important in class and status. Priests and Theives are the more quick witted humans. They are uncommon but despite the class level they hold, they indeed have important roles.
3) Vistani or also known as Gypsies, are a race similar to Humans. They look the same exceptional to there dark hair and deep purple eyes. They can have sight, the ability to see and predict the future. Although only one or two per generation receive this gift. They live in seperate camps and supposivly have a deal with Strahd the land lord.
4) Elves, few are left of there race. Even fewer of the sun elves are left. Night elves are also uncommon.
5) Undead Slaves, ushally slaves to vampires. They are minor vampires who can only listen to there master. They become independent vampires when there master dies. They are more commen then vampires themselves seeing as few things can kill a vampire.
6) Werewolves, ushally called legend. A human that can change into a wolf at their own will. There blood is a mix of human and animal.
7) Vampires, ver very very rare. Vampires have a whole load of rules. *Vampires cannot be in daylight *Have to feed on humans everyother night -animals or mixed bloods are impossible to keep down- the Vistani race works as well. *Cannot cross running water (some exceptions to this case) *Cannot enter a private home without being invited in. *Cannot enter holy grounds *Biting a person does not turn them into an undead unless you kill them or have them drink your blood. *Food and drink cannot be kept down. *You don't have a reflection or shadow.

Yah sry for putting all the obvious but I've tried before and assumed people knew.... wow that was a stupid idea.

Areas-
1) Ravenlord Castle, Strahd lives here along with his servants.
2) Villages, self explanitory....
3) Vintani camps, allways changing and are home of the Vistani.
4) Forest, wolves live here. Not even the vampires stay in these areas, wolves are the most often killer of people out at night.
5) There a river between the Vintani camps and the Villages. Only important if you're a vampire.

Once again sorry for all the rules but this way its impossible for godmoding and for all vampires or all werewolves and stuff like that. Trust me humans are VERY important.

An elven figure found himself wandering down the pathway to the Villages. It was dark out and the moon casted a silver lining over his docile features. Golden bonde hair and silver eyes, his looks astounded most. His hight was tall for his race as he reached about 5'10. He was also sleander wearing white traveler clothings, outlined in gold colors. He held no sack as his comfortable boots made no sound.

He walked along almost in a trance of sorrow that was broken by a wolves howling. He perked up estimating how far away they were. Deciding it be best to find somewhere to stay he headed towards the town.

Finding a small inn he walked precariously as he pulled his hood off. Noise of talking had stopped, most turned towards him with a fierce look. Strangers are welcome I see, he thought distastefuly. He walked over the Inn keeper pulling some gold out. "I need a room," he whispered lightly.

"We don't offer rooms after dark. Come back in the morning!"

He cringed slightly at this glancing around. His gold like complection stood out majorly and was causing superstisious murmurs. His silver eyes glanced over the room as he walked over to an empty table taking a seat.

'The Great Archives determine you to have gone by the identity:
Josette du Coudray'

Her violet eyes gleamed in the moon light as she thought over the sentence found in the record.
She was in the manor, searching for the gem, the gem that was stolen from her, a thief been stolen from.
It gleamed, the blue stone ball, sparkling and glittering in the moon light.
His voice, echoing through her head, his last smile, the words, the thoughts, the shed of blood, all putrid.

She ran, running up the side of the wall, and onto the ceiling, hanging from the bars in the ceiling.
Directly below her, there was the gem, and her heart started to echo in her ears, anger, and nothing but anger flowing from her veins. Her eyes narrowed as she let go and dropped down onto the pedestal the stone was on.
Nothing yet, no one coming, nothing.
She had to get back to the inn before it got to late or they would lock up, then again it was only a few blocks away.

She bent down and picked it up- still nothing.
It was too easy, they wanted the stone, but they knew she would come for it, why so simple?

Jumping back up, she spotted someone running down the hallway, She had to act fast.

Looking up she saw a window, if she could break it open, she could get out easy, with out the sickle touching her.
"HEY YOU! COME BACK HERE!" she looked down as the man yelled angrily, his chain sickle swinging.
She could feel herself going pale, but she had to run, and run fast.
Swinging across the bars on the ceiling she reached the window and pulled her legs up, shattering the glass, and watching the chain sickle fly past her arms.
She pulled her self up and out of the window, sending a gas bomb down the shaft after her.
She could hear the man choking on his own oxygen, as she jumped off the side of the roof, down 3 stories, landing, and running back to the inn.
After the 2nd block of running, she slowed down and walked.

"Got to be happy Aska, here, we will switch gems; it'll be our gift to each other." She heard as she stared at the gem. It's blue sheen was like a pool of water, and directly down the centre a clear parting when in the right light. It shone perfectly.

Aska looked up, and saw she was in front of the inn. Placing the gem in her pocket she entered, when everyone was whispering.
Her black hair, contrasted with her crimson red kimono top, and black pants folded at the ankles so they would fit right, and her brown boots looked old.

Aska looked over at the Elvin figure as she showed the manager at the desk her card for her room.

Walking over to the Elvin figure she smiled shyly.
"Couldn't get a room could you?" She asked in an english accent, putting the gem and the card in her pocket.
"I'm Aska" She said quietly, looking around at the staring villagers.

"Jander," he said smiling slightly, "And no I couldn't get a room either. I see these areas are quiet superstisious. I'm from afar, can you tell me why the inns end so earily?"(its in the intro) His golden complection, shining in the dim light was not seen in these areas.

He sat at one of the back corners away from the firelight. Most were still staring in there direction at the white cladin elf and the quick theif. Jander guessed that she was Vistani from her looks. Why would one of them try to stay at an inn?

Aska shrugged.
"It's because of the vampires. We don't want one of them to walk into our inn and blood suck our customers. No one would stay here again." Aska smiled.
"By the looks of it, your from an elvin community, Jander? My mother told me about them once before she died." Aska's accent was soft, almost making her sound like she was singing.
"I think I could get you a room, if you only staying the night. Or I could give up mine, I have another place to sleep if I don't stay here." She said as she looked over her shoulder at the gossiping people.
"WHAT? YOU HAVE A BONE TO PICK WITH US?" Aska yelled, her accent thick, as everyone turned away, and the manager laughed loudly, and then got back to checking people in.
Aska's eyes glittered, and she took the seat across from Jander.
"I have nothing against you." She smiled openly to him, showing she was friend, not foe.

"Thats kind of you, but I wouldn't want you to give up anything for me," Jander said lightly. His tone was rich and flowed easily, as did his looks. "Anyways most don't offer hospitality without wanting something in return, what is it your wanting?" He said this with a light smile, for the fact it was completely true these days.

Aska blinked.
"Wanting something in return..." a huge grin spread across her face, and she laughed.
"I can get anything I want by myself." Aska grined, beaming.

She placed her hand in her pocket, rifling through, trying to find the key for the room, eventually, after placing, the blue crystal, a small dagger, and a bell on the table, she found the key.
"Here we are." she grabbed Jadin's hand, and placed the key in his palm.
"Think of it as a token for a new commer. Not many are like me in this way." her smile faded, eyes looking like a memory was flooding back, but not enough to say anything, she smiled again after wards.
"Take it, I guess...all I want is to travel with you maybe.." Aska said quietly, her accent muffling her words, but still clear enough to hear.
