I'm taking AP History this year (finally I have a relatively good history class), and we're learning about the American Revolution right now. I was reading something online about the French and Indian War (because the taxes from it helped cause the revolution), and it mentioned that the British call it the Seven Years War and the Canadians call it something else. My question though is: What do/did the British call the American Revolution? Do they just call it the Am. Revolution, or do they have a different name.

I believe that it is most commonly referred to as the "American Rebellion" in British textbooks.
