Hi, dark_slayer24. Well, it's quite difficult for me to decide which movie is better because I think there are many differences between them. I like both of them but the second was definitely crazier, more adventurous, more fantasy, more expensive..., so it looks better in a way. AND Orlando Bloom is better as an actor in it, but Johnny Depp and Keira Knightley are yet better than he is in my opinion. To put it in a nutshell, I think I liked the second movie better, but it was something pretty much different from the first one. xd

I think his name was Davy Jones and he was impersonated by Bill Nighy. He was very good. And the same for the captain Barbossa in the first one - Geoffrey Rush. I thought the same. That he was dead. Well, he wasn't. xd He must be somehow important to the story. We'll see. lol

Yeah and that means Geoffrey Rush is an excellent actor. lol Cos you believe that he's indeed so awful. I like such actors. When you see them, you believe they really are what they actually ONLY pretend. Johnny Depp can do it as well.

What's your favourite scene from The Pirates, Dark_slayer24? In both movies? I really like the Jack Sparrow introduction scene in the first one where he's standing on the mast and slowly coming into the harbour. The ship is sinking slowly but right before it sinks completely, he reaches the shore. Simply great!
And in the second movie I like the scene with beautiful music where organs are playing. It was a fighting scene but I can't remember which one it was. When I was watching the scene, the music made me feel so special. I've got the soundtrack. Have you got it too?

Oh, not many posts in here. Hope it will change with the third part of The Pirates. blaugh And I've read somewhere that there's a possibility of part 4 as well, depending on the profit of course and on whether Johnny Depp accepted to play in there again. rofl

Oh, great scenes as well. But I must tell you I hated Elizabeth then cos she's obviously in love with Jack but she let him down. I think she deserved then those remorses she had. lol

I haven't seen DMC yet, but CotBP is made of cupcakes and win. I'm a complete Johnny Depp fan, and Cap'n Jack was my favorite of his roles. He just totally made it his own.
The writing was great, the music was some of the best I've ever heard, and it was original. As far as pirates go, that was a brand-new flick. biggrin
Favorite scene in the first one... The scene when Barbossa stabs Jack and then he reels back into the moonlight to reveal that he's one of them. xd

So go see it, it's worth doing so but I must warn you. The second movie is crazier, more adventurous, more fantasy and more Hollywood! It's quite different from the first one in my opinion but I loved it. And the music there is excellent! Like a mixture of classical, Irish, Celtic and church music maybe. I loved that piece with organs.
Yeah, The Pirates wouldn't have been the same (and maybe as successful), had there not been Johnny Depp. I'm really looking forward to seeing the third film.
Oh, excellent scene as well!
