Alright, since my ideas seem to come and go at rapid fire rates, I'll just make this board my official plot-idea board. >.> And, hey, feel free to use some of my older ideas if you need something to get you out of writer's block or something. I don't mind.
Ideas:
Time Travel
Several people have recieved a formal invitation from an eccentric friend they had lost contact with several years ago. He claims he's found an invention which could change the world. Curiousity overtakes these people, and they arrive at his mansion on the designated date to find out what he's talking about.
Turns out, he's invented a time machine. With just one catch.
It's never been tested.
But its about to be.
Next thing they know, those people find themselves sitting in the middle of the Ice Age, where cavemen exsist. However, their journey doesn't end there.
The machine's only flaw is its inability to retrieve things its sent into time. Its creator does his best to reverse the process, but only ends up sending the group through even more time periods.
However, they begin to notice something strange. There is something wrong with these time periods. for instance, the Greek gods from the myths actually exsisting. And, the most troubling of all, the fact that dragons rule the Dark Ages.
It seems this machine doesn't just deal with time.
After all, that would be too simple, right?
True UFO Story
This one's inspired by the History channel's numerous UFO shows. >.> I have this funny theory that those aliens are not actually extraterrestrial, but in fact human beings many many millions of years from now. Who have, obviously, developed time travel.
However, an unlucky crew of these "aliens" has had their time travel device broken in some way, to where they get sent to seemingly random spots in time.
Which - in effect - shapes our world as it is today. There's a lot of theories about aliens and how they affected ancient man, so I think that it'd be kind of fun to use those theories and actually write them as some sort of accidental thing.
Living Your Own Death
This is a slightly more morbid idea I had back in seventh grade. I'm not too fond of it, really. Its pretty stereotypical and pointlessly angsty. But, hey. Might as well put it up here.
Basically, this teenage girl is really miserable, hates her life, etc. So, one day, she sits out on the sidewalk in front of her house to kind of mull things over. She slowly gets even furthur depressed, and as a speeding car gores by, she jumps in front of it, just to see what happens. Somehow she makes it through and goes back to bed, a little startled, but unhurt.
When she goes to school the next morning, her friend(s) act as if she isn't there. And, much to her surprise, ther is a special moment of silence in first period. Dedicated to her. Slowly, she begins to realize that she is, in fact, a ghost. She watches everyone's reactions to her death, and slowly begins to realize just how many people cared about her. When she attends her own funeral she bursts into tears and wishes the entire thing had never happened.
Next thing she knows, she's sitting back on the sidewalk, and the same car is speeding down the road. Instead of jumping in front of it, she stays put, thinking she's just a ghost haunting the place she died.
Nah, turns out she got a second chance. She then goes back and relives the next few days, the difference being she's alive. And... then its done.
And many more are soon to come, no doubt.

I like it too. I just think it'd be too much of a hassle for me to write.
By the way, for anyone who cares, I put up one of my older angst-ridden ideas up.
