Within the compound are a series of streams snaking from a river. The river is connected to freshwater lakes that are home to various freshwater fish and aquatic life. The largest lake, is closest to the town.

[New RP]
It was a sunny day that day, and Sarina decided to go visit the lake. She didn't have much else to do, and she needed the experience.
Okay, she was bored out of her mind, but everyone was so busy changing and exploring, she felt it might be best to simply let them be - Well, it was more like she wanted to be alone, but she would never admit to that. She wore a simple shirt and a skirt, the waist was thankfully elastic and so it sat snuggly under her tail.
The water felt so refreshing, and rocks beneath the surface let her sit and enjoy the relaxation.
She sat, her clothes soaked, and her tail shifting every now and again; she hummed. Hugging her knees and watching the fish swim by as if she wasn't there.

Tino had explored most of the rest of the compound, and was sort of dreading his visit to the lake. He knew from his experience at the spa that water would cause him some discomfort, so he decided to put this trip off until last. He was pleased, however, to see Rina at his destination.
Walking down to the water's edge, he suddenly paused, getting the distinct feeling Sarina was here to be alone. Unfortunately, he was close enough that she would have definitely heard his approach.

Rina continued humming, watching the fish and fighting off the temptation to jump in and grab them.
She tretched out, leaning back on the rock and watching the sky for a moment, not even realising Tino's scent was in the air. Nor hearing him approach. It was only when she saw something in the corner of her eye, that she realised something was there.
And that scared the absolute bejeebers out of her.
"AIE!" She yelped, losing her grip on the rock and falling back, into the water with a splash.

Rina's yelp made Tino yelp, and he ran down to the lake and kneeled on the rock. He looked into the water, extending his hand to Rina, wincing slightly as his hand broke the surface of the water.
"Rina! Are you alright? I didn't mean to startle you..."

It took her a moment to realise she wasn't exactly drowing... which was good because her first instinct when she fell was to breath in a panic... Though no drowning...
She looked up at him through the water, blinking rather confusedly, her tail switching into auto-pilot and propelling her to the water's surface, she reached up and grabbed his hand, pulling herself up.
"It's alright," She said, looking around, "I didn't seem to start drowning..." She quirked a brow, then looked back at Tino, dual coloured eyes fixating on his.
"Hiya," She said, smiling.

"Hiya," Tino greeted with a smile. "You're okay, aren't you?" He knew she was, but he wanted to hear Rina's reassurance.
He suddenly became aware of the strange, slightly unpleasant tingling in his arm, and recoiled it. Furiously trying to dry it off with his sleeve, he sighed in a kind of resignation. "I guess the serum is taking more of an effect than I thought at this stage..." he tried to explain, even though he didn't fully understand.

Rina nodded, her legs under the water's surface kicking to keep her floating.
"Really, I'm fine!" She said, adding in her trade mark chuckle.
She shifted her gaze to his arm, watching him furiously try to dry it. It took a moment for her to remember that he was the fire type, and made a silent "ohhh" motion.
"I guess they are... Sorry, you didn't have to stick your hand in the water... Are you okay?" She asked, moving towards the side of the rock so she could get out, finding it quite easy to simply climb out rather than try to jump out like she used to.

He shrugged, rubbing his arm with now with his palm. It was dry, but still felt a little tingly. Tino scooted over on the rock so that Rina could sit there as well.
"I'm fine, just getting used to these changes still. I did some reading in the rec room and found out a bit more, but no one can really say for sure what's going to happen, can they?"
Looking down at his arm, he noticed where his skin would still be its usual color, it was now a bit red either from the irritation of the water, or because he was rubbing it.

"I suppose... Maybe you'll be different and won't have so much of it in you?" She half questioned. Suddenly she felt bad for not doing as she said she would, it had completely slipped her mind.
She sat down on the rock, her feet finding their way back into the water.
"Did you find anything else out?"

Tino smiled to himself, recalling what he had read. He turned his head to Rina and said, "I found out that most of the tension between our races wasn't caused by anything genetic." He shrugged and looked at Rina's feet dangling in the water.
"That should mean that we shouldn't have any, er, issues caused by who we're becoming, unless we somehow inherit their histories as well. I don't know that much about genetics, so I don't know how this will work."

"Really?" She asked, glancing at the water, she was curious now... Maybe she'd go and read those books later.
"What was it caused by?"

Tino smirked. "Something about 'racial purity.'" He looked disgusted by the idea of it.
He began to think aloud, "Perhaps we won't be all that different in the end. These ancient people had the same sort of problems we do today..."

((Jurek is the planet they live on. <.<;; ))
Racial Purity? What on Jurek was that?
"Huh... That's a weird reason to... uh, have tension about..." She watched the fish in the water, still fighting off the temptation to fish them, and now the temptation to push Tino in. She knew it would in some way hurt him, so it was easier to fight off than if he was a fellow Tohan-to-be.
"I guess. I haven't looked into it like I'd like to, or like I said I would... I've been a little pre-occupied with changing, and all this new stuff coming into my head... And other things."

((Spoo. I need to do some history re-writing... Wait. How did Rina know 'Dust in the Wind?'))
Tino nodded and looked deep in thought having totally forgotten that Rina said she would do some research. "No one else isn't preoccupied either." He left his simple statement at that, though gears seemed to be turning in his head.
