I see we have really good artist on this forum and that there are people who has great ideas here as well.
I was thinking about binding together and starting our own sonic verse, With our own stories and art and stuff?
I know it probaly wont lift anywhere as we all have busy lives already, Im just sending the idea out there to consider.
I also draw as well, But so far everyone else art blows mine out of the water. But if people really want to do this Im up for it!
Well, Theres my idea, What do ya think?

Nice concept. smile The only concern I'd have is that most of our artists seem to be in college or have full-time jobs (or both), and therefore're probably a bit pushed for time. The only one I can think of who isn't (off the top of my head) is Eon, and he's already creating and maintaining a sprite comic featuring people from several other forums. It's worth considering, though. It'd be nice if it could happen.

Its definitely worth considering... I personally have been trying to come up with a brief story to have penciled for the next time SDCC rolls around...however, I'm not much of a writer. I don't know who I"ll show it to(I MAY try Penders again;I just doubt he'd show much interest), but it would be helpful to have. I dunno.. just a thought.
On top of the Sonic pages, I'd like to start working on some pages of my own, so I don't know how my time will be divided up. I'll be free until around the end of the month, and then I'll have 5 weeks of classes.. and then I'll have a little more free time before fall quarter commences.
Anyway..we'll see. =)

It'd be nice if it could happen. Not to mention I'm an a terrible team player, a problem that arises from years of secondary school group activities in which I both did all the work and presented the end result to the class while everyone else just sat back and chatted for the whole lesson. And they wondered why I lost my temper in geography over it once. >.> Still, this is a nice idea. Unfortunately, I doubt I'll have time to work on it, which is funny since I've got all the time in the world right now, but I've got one or two fairly big projects on the go at the moment (my comic being one, the other being a secret at present) and over the summer--if I fail to get a job, which looks likely now--I'm hoping to do a lot of revision of my AS and A level Media course so I can be best prepared for starting my Film & Media degree course at university in September. Yes, I know I'm a teacher's pet. Still, if this project gets off the ground, it wouldn't hurt to ask me. Whether or not I have time to contribute will be another matter. If anything I'd only contribute artwork though, because the story in my comic is very complicated and getting more so, and it's hard to not run out of ideas... so I'd rather focus my story planning on my own comic than divide it up over two.

It's amazing how people who thought that you were the lowest, geekiest pond scum in the county would suddenly decide thart they could tolerate you if there was a group project in the offing. I even had - after getting a B for a three-person group project at GCSE level that I'd had to carry completely by myself, one teacher whisper in my ear after the lesson "Next time, work with some one else". Although he said that as though I'd had a choice other than to be lumped in with the two lazy gits that nobody else wanted either. Quote: Yes, I know I'm a teacher's pet. It's called forward planning. You'll appreciate it in about four years. Trust me on this.

I'm currently unemployed with no demands on my time, and I can write and draw. I have some Sonic pictures if anyone would like to see 'em. Or better yet point me to an Art Post thread. 3nodding

Hmmm.. actually, I've been trying to come up with a brief 8 page Sonic script that I can pencil and take to Comic con with me in July. I want one more shot at showing my stuff to Penders, I guess(just to prove to him that I can tell a story). Any ideas would be wonderful.. all the ideas I've got at the moment revolve around Sonic fighting Robotnik's latest creation, and/or Tails teaching Dulcy how to land properly(and I don't know where exactly to go with that one... especially for eight pages).
If anyone has any suggestions or one liner story ideas, throw 'em at me! I'd greatly appreciate it. whee

My talents span as far as offering moral support, sadly, but I have alot of that to spare! smile
Also, I own a cushy little domain name which I'm actually astonished I've never been formally approached about in all 2 years of having it.
I'd love to see any results is this happens smile

ChibiMaryn ??? Zuh? Other than moral support(which is awesome on its own), what exactly are you offering, sir?? wink He's the owner of www.sonicthecomic.com - and he knows that I'd come after him with a hatchet if any of those drooling, psychotic fanboys from the mainstream Fleetway mob got their hands on it.

I'm on a short leash! ^.^ *Giggle* Na, I wouldn't want the StC-O boys getting ahold of it anyway, and aside from that one incident when the site was getting started, they didn't seem to overly care that I have it. But, the poor domain has been useless for so long now.
