The island of Shadow Moses, a few miles due west off the coast of Alaska, is said to have been the site of a Nuclear Storage building. Tests had been performed here to create a new Nuclear Weapon, A Mobile TMD (Theatre Missle Defense) to shoot down any type of missle for defensive purposes only. The project was said to be called "Mythryll Shard T-R3X", created by Dr. Max Otakon.

Dr. Max Otakon the Second sat at a desk in the labratory, making sketches of the latest project, Mythryll Shard T-R3X Version 2.0, a counter part to the orignal Metal Gear REX made a few years before Mythryll Shard T-R3X. "God dammit," He cursed. "This just isn't working. We want a mobile TMD with a rail gun that can fire anything... the problem is if we arm a nuke the computers will be wiped clean because of the magnets..." he sighed deeply. "I suppose that's why the original T-R3X was scrapped..."
