((I really like this section of the guild biggrin biggrin ))

U just want to know how many people hate the govt. with all their heart...I do. The govt. piss me off, they tax everything (Well basically) The worst thing about the govt, is they say they get our money and use it for military goods...but most goes into our pockets. They dont care about the poor either, which pisses me off even more (Im poor). And the govt are all p***y's, they do everything all wrong. If I could start this county over im pretty sure anyone could do better than they are right now.

King....I love your topics. blaugh

Funny thing, I was just listening to the CBC (Canadian Brodcast Comp) on the radio yesterday morning and there was a debate about to start. Well, I was about off to class so I listened while I got ready.

First, it was a Canadian protester coming onto the air about several facts/confessions from people suspected to be terrorists while living in the States. Apparently, what the FBI and CIA have been doing, under presidential sanction, have been sending these suspected "Terrorists" over to Iraq, Afghanistan and such where certain forms of "Interrogation" are legal.

Then an American rep. called in, said two words and then he and the CAN Protester started squawking at each other. The CBC worker had to calm them down after about 2 mins of incoherent arguement. The American denied all of what the Protester had said and then another arguement ensued. Eventually the Canadian argued that what Bush's Gov. was doing was going under the law about this situation. Torture may not be legal in the States but it is in the Middle East...so, all in all he's not breaking the law.

What upsets me is that, Congress, is now having to deal with Bush trying to pass a Bill to legalise certain Torture procedures for Terrorist or Suspected terrorist interrogations. This includes Hypothermia and Water-Boarding. The man has some balls I tell you.

Well, when it came for the American Rep to rebutt there was nothing but dead air. He hung up.

Dragosani Kain is right, about the underhanded torture and Kingtard is right about the government doing underhanded things.

I also agree that the government doesn't put enough money or effort in helping the poor, but some people do try to correct that. And I also think they didn't have a good reason for starting the war with Iraq.

I do, though, think that the taxes are fair for the most part. True some of it does go into their pockets, but a good chunk goes to the millitary, puplic schools, roads, community centers, and anything that is not privatly funded.

I would also love to see someone come up with a better form of government, since absolute monarchy, communism, tyranny, and autocracy all fell, and no government would just be chaos.

I don't like our government currenty, but it could be worse.

It could be far worse. I can magine what it would be like to have a second hitler leading the United States.

You know what?
I hate the fact that California is so pathetic we have to have a Ex superstar run a part of our goverment.
Arnold S. Is our state governor and I find that really sad.

Besides from the fact that the man is pratically a gillionair and a superstar. He is actually one of the better governors we actually had.
However, when he was elected he said he would support the schools and what not by donating money. It isnt until now that he is actually trying to make a move about when his election season is almost over. To make up for it, he is donation about 70 dollars for every student in a selected school to support performing arts, and music. This benifits greatly the schools with 2,500 kids. (( like mine..)) but is at a lost for small schools that dont have colorguard squads or marching bands. Only small activites such as drama, and 1 single period art classes.

What loss my repect for Arnold S. was the fact that he supports G Bush. I personally hate Bush and think he should rot in the darkest depths of hell. However, I would rather have him than that bigger idiot Kerry.

I completely hate this government. Nothing goes right around here and we worry about the hungry and illnesses over in other countries before we even consider it here, which is completely annoying.
Also, it's supposed to be the land of the free here, but we actually have more laws and restrictions here, then other places that are ran by Monarchys and even some dictatorships. It's extremely sad.
All the government cares about is getting money. They don't care about education, getting people off streets, or any of that stuff. In fact, I think the government likes putting people on the streets, because they're beginning to do that with the taxes raising and even middle class is starting not to be able to afford it.
And also, this war with Iraq is completely useless, especially when the reason the government sent our soldiers there was to find weapons of mass destruction and we find out they don't have any. Our soldiers shouldn't be there anymore. But no, they had to stay and rebuild the place, which I find completely useless because they don't seem to really want a change that badly if they keep trying to kill our soldiers.
I say if there is a law against same sex marriages here, then there should be a law about letting idiots run the country so that we can get all of these people out of the government.

The annoying thing about pulling troops out of Iraq is the terrorists groups grow either way. If we stay, they join to make a better life for themselves. If we pull out, they view themselves as winning and people want to join the winners.

Has anyone else realized that we are well on our way to taking over the world. I mean we have troops all over the world. Almost every other country teaches English as a secondary language. And any one we don't like we go to war with. I do agree though Bush needs to leave. I have no idea how he managed to be elected for a second term.

What I am afriad of is, at this next coming election, we are going vote for some guy, and he he going to be worse than Bush.
If that itself is even possible.

Byw, I like that point being said that if we are the land of the free, why Do we have the most rules.

Oh really. Bush is a deeply religious president who stands by what he says. Though you may disagree with him on some terms, there are worse people out there.

The fact is, our current government is a wonderful thing. For as long as humans have been around, the governments have been full of corruption and tyranny. Only recently have we been able to establish natural rights, namely the right to free speech.

Think about it. If we lived in almost any other time, or even some countries today, you would be killed for saying something like "I hate Bush". Only through countless revolutions have we been able to prevent this kind of tyranny.

Yes, our government may not be perfect now. But to say that you hate it is to take our entire history for granted. Yes, you are using your right to free speech. However, people gave their lives for this government, for this way of life. Be happy with this government, because NONE OF US ARE SMART ENOUGH to come up with a better system than the democratic republic that is currently established in America.

What the true problem is, I believe, is the fact that our government is currently being run by idiots, on both sides of the political spectrum. It's not just Bush. It's most of the congress and most of the Supreme Court, too. This problem isn't likely to be fixed any time soon. People are becoming stupider. People are arguing based on personality rather than on principle. The media seeks not to inform, but to entertain. As long as we, the sheeple of America, continue to eat this crap the halfwits in the government feed to us via the media, our country's health will continue to decline in almost every way.

The moral you should learn from this: If you are a republican, the democrat is not the enemy. If you are a democrat, the republican is not the enemy. You are FRIENDS. Debate it like intellectuals and don't lose your temper...never express emotion in a debate. It is not an argument, it is a method of gaining wisdom to benefit our great country. If more people use their brains and not their hearts to lead their voices, the world will be a much better place.
