So he'd been setting up the class for her, a maze of boxes to be set up in a dark classroom, to help out with her learning to use her dark vision. It was something that Ligeia had so he was able to figure out what to do with this class to help her learn it. Sometime during the set up though he'd lost something that he rather needed...

He couldn't find it among the maze himself as it was... well a maze and it was a dark one at that, on top of all of that currently he was really able to see all that well. He gave a groan as he walked over to lean against the door outside of the room, hand lifting up to rub at his eyes. Everything was blurry without them... stupid glasses.

Well he would offer Vivina two prizes. One for making it through the maze and a second one if she could find his glasses which were lost among it.

Vivina walked casually down the hallway on her way to class. Apparantly she had been assigned another skill class by her mother. Vivina, surprisingly, accepted the class since it didn't require Seph to be with her. That dragon had been bothersome the past few days, nagging her about 'things' that makes her blush vividly. All in all, this was just a temporary relief.

Coming across the familiar hallway to Orpheus' classroom, she noticed him standing in the doorway looking rather odd. At first she couldn't make it out, but as she got closer, she noticed his glasses were gone. Odd, she's never seen him without them before. Did he get contacts? By the way he was rubbing his eyes, she concluded no. Stopping in front of him, Vivina waved and greeted the man.

"Hello again Mr. Orpheus sir! I'm here for the class. Oh, and where're your glasses? I never see you without them...just wondering."

Smiling, she looked up, hoping he could still see her.

Orpheus turned at the sound of the voice, squinting a little as he tried to make her out then gave up with a little laugh, "I sorta... ahh..." He scratch the back of his head and looked a bit embaressed, "I lost them while I was setting up your class." He explained. And without his glasses he really couldn't see to find them. It was a bit of a bind...

"So I was figuring that I would give you two objectives in the class, one of them optional." He told her, laughing.

Vivina giggled when Orpheus said that he lost his glasses. "Aw...that's bad...Is it somewhere in there?" She pointed into the dark classroom, of which she could just make out the outlines of what seemed to be maze walls. So Orpheus turned the room into a labyrinth. And the room has no lights on. What was she to do here?

"Two?" Vivina could guess one of the objectives, but two? She couldn't think of the second one. Thinking, she wondered how the maze was set up. Must be complicated, seeing as the walls seemed to take up almost the entire perimeter of the room.

"The door leads into the maze, across the classroom and to where there will be an exit, the wall right at the end of the maze will be another door that will come out in a hall connected to this one." He explained, "So if once you make it through you come around the halls and back to me. The second objective... ahh... if you happen to stummble across my glasses if you could bring them back to me."

He sounded a bit embaressed about having to ask one of his students for help but at the moment... well he was a bit lot blind.

Vivina nodded as she listened carefully. Getting though the maze sounded simple enough. But was it going to be simple? Probably not. Even though she could see in the dark to some extent, finding her way through was still going to prove a tough challenge.

"Ooh...Don't worry, I'll try and find the glasses! Even if I have to go to every dead end!" Smiling, she started for the maze, but before she could go in, she turned around and asked one more question. "What happens if I get lost? Do I shout for help or something?" The thought of being stuck in a maze made her worried a bit.

"If you get totally lost I will help you." He said, there had to be a light switch along the wall and he would have to find it... it might take him a bit but he would do what he could. Most mazes though, this one being no different had the same 'weakness' if you would. If you laid your hand on a wall and followed it while you might find some dead ends you would get to the end.

"Thank you for helping me out." He hoped to find them and have nobody, especially other teachers, finding out that he'd lost his glasses among the maze.

Vivina nodded, her confidence coming back. "Okay then! To the maze!" With that note, she jumped into the room and began to walk cautiously into the maze. The only source of light was the open door behind her. Everything else was pitch black.

Vivina turned a right then left, and was suddenly plunged into complete darkness. The light had gone and Vivina now had to concentrate to see clearly in the dark. Focusing her eyes on the outlines of the walls, Vivina could make out a rough, but still recognizable night vision goggle-type image - just not in shades of green.

As Vivina walked along the walls, she could notice a few things laying around the ground. She spotted someone's pencil, a few papers, and a book, which she nearly tripped over since she wasn't paying too much attention to the ground.

Left, right, right, straight, left, left, straight....Vivina soon became aware that she had no idea where she was going. In fact, she had tripped over the same book three times already. Vivina stopped to think about all the paths she had taken so far. There were many paths, but only one will get her out of the maze. Not knowing what else to do, she followed her knowledge of what little of the classroom she could see and her instincts.

In her wanderings she'd found three dead ends, a lot of turns, lots of dark, all of which mixed together into making her all sorts of dizzy and disorientated. She had made it part way through the maze already even though she wouldn't know it. No sign of the entrance, exit, or glasses yet though. Maybe deeper in?

From where she stood she could go left, right, or forward. Two of which would lead to dead ends though which was which she wouldn't know.

Dizzified, Vivina picked up a pencil and spun it on the ground. When the pencil stopped spinning, it pointed to the right. Right turn it is, even though she had gone this way once. Maybe she'll end up somewhere else this time? She would have to find out soon.

Vivina carefully walked down the path until she came upon a fork. Left or right? She went the right way the first time, so left? Shrugging, she made her way down the left. The path was surely different, and it seemed to lead her somewhere away from the other pathway. Maybe she was getting deeper into the maze? She couldn't tell.

As she walked along she would feel as if she were in a new area, a new part of the maze that she hadn't been through yet. A place that just might bring just her closer to the end maybe? Upon making her next turn Vivina's foot would meet with something else, a different feeling from the normal floor.

A different sound as well...

Vivina continued on her path, turning another corner and spotting yet another book. This time, she jumped over the book, landing with a rather unusual noise. SNAP Jumping and yelping at the sudden noise, Vivina fell backwards onto the book. She heard something sliding away from her and a soft thud against the far wall. Scrambling to her knees, she crawled towards a thin object ahead of her. Inspecting it closely, she gasped.

"It's part of someone's glasses...Orpheus's glasses? If so...." Vivina crawled quickly towards the wall ahead of her and indeed found what she was looking for. The rest of the glasses were there. She picked the object up and inspected it. The lens was scratched slightly, but nothing too major. The end piece just needed to be screwed back on. Pocketing the pieces, she stood up and headed left, the only direction available to her.

Now to find the exit...

As she headed down the path she would spy a light, coming from... was that the exit? Had she made it back to the entrance? When she got close enough there wouldn't be any sign of Orpheus so that could only mean one thing right? She'd accomplished both of her goals... sorta. She HAD found the glasses after all and Orpheus never said they had to be in one piece.

Vivina quickly walked around the next corner and spotted a light source. The exit! Or was it the entrance? Inching closer, she saw that indeed it was the exit. Laughing in relief, she sprinted towards the door and bursted out the other end. Upon doing so, she shut her eyes quickly, her eyes burning slightly from the sudden burst of light.

As soon as her eyes got used to the brightness, she ran around to where Orpheus was waiting. "I made it! I got out of the maze! And I found the glasses also! Er...except there's a problem..." Vivina stopped in front of the teacher and handed him the broken glasses. "I kinda jumped on it...but it was by accident! I didn't see it behind the book I jumped over!"

Orpheus couldn't help but laugh when he heard the excited girl coming his way, he paled just a little bit when she said that there was a 'problem' and an 'accident'. Uh-oh...

"Here let me see." He said, holding out a hand. He could check with his hands how bad the damage was. If it were nothing he was sure that he could fix them with no problem.

(( what sort of prize does she want for finishing the class?))
