As Dark As Midnight

As dark as midnight
a lone crow flies

As dark as midnight
a black stallion rides

As dark as midnight
a long shadow creeps

And as dark as midnight
my heart lurks alone.

I see what you mean.. but in that same sence is not midnight the brightest time of all. For there are no shadows without light and that same shadow can be the representation of all that one can call night... And a time of which a heart is free to be open and alone may only be when it feels dark but truly it would be great light for when your heart can "lurk" you can truly know your heart can hurt. And with out hurt, with out pain, with out sorrow you would never trully feel the feelings of wormth and love and hope. so trully it is night with in day that give you the depth of darkness in light.
