i've seen the play, read the book, and watched the movie which i own.

well, it's kinda like a fantasy...but then. hmm, im not sure what it is exactly. rofl oh well. can you try to see the movie? though thebook is good, it's rather confusing to read. biggrin

I'm actually pretty annoyed at the movie, they cut out and screwed up all of the more beautiful scenes.. sweatdrop
Point of No Return was kind of wrecked. The point of it was for no one to know that the Phantom had taken Piangi's place, and at one point, Christine places her face against his in the song, and feels the plastic of the mask with a panic. I also hate that Raoul beat Erik in the swordfighting. In the play, there was no fight! They argued, Erik standing on the mausoleum, and Christine ran off with Raoul.
Though I cannot help but adore the movie nonetheless.. Who can truly hate the Phantom of the Opera? X.x

All of these people have not turned from the garish light of day? No-one has delved into the dungeons of black despair and seen the older films? Or read the books? Well, I can see that I'm going to seem like an obsessed freak...but that's me! What really annoys me (amongst a great many other things) is how Christine always just walks off after Erik tells her that he loves her! She doesn't even turn around and say "I know you love me....but I'm a spoilt and shallow girl and I can't love someone who's disfigured, no matter how well they treat me!" Maybe I'm seeing this through the Phantom's eyes, maybe not?

dang that's a PERFECT way to describe it! and nah, you're not the only one obbsessed, i've read the book and im going to read another, watched the movie, and seen the play. im going to rent the older movie once we go to Reno for Christmas! 3nodding but yeah, Christine's really annoying, how Erik liked her i dunno...
