Ok.

We finally have some details of the upcoming tournament.

The Tournament will be Constructed ( In Constructed tournaments, each player comes with a pre-built deck. Decks must consist of no fewer than 60 cards, and no more than four of any one card (the basic land cards may be used in any quantity). ) Type 2, (the deck may only include cards from the current Type 2 lists. This includes 9th Edition, Champions of Kamigawa, Betrayers of Kamigawa, Saviours of Kamigawa, Ravnica, Guildpact, Dissension and Coldsnap.) You are also allowed a fifteen card SideBoard (Following the first game of a match, each player is permitted to replace any number of cards in his or her deck with an equal number of cards from his or her sideboard. The original deck configuration is restored before the start of the next match)

You must have the same deck throughout the entire tournament.

It will be run over the course of a week to allow for different time zones and will be played over Magic Workstation.

Each match will be best of three games.

You will be assigned an opponent randomly for the first round and you will have to organise to have a game with them within the next 48 hour period. If the game cannot be arranged, the result will be considered a draw. In the next rounds, you will be paired against players with a similiar amount of points to yours. Again, you will have 48hrs to organise a game against them and if it is not played, the result will be considered a draw. After a 4 rounds, the player with the most points will come first. We will try to get this system as close to Friday Night Magic as we can.

For a Win you get 3 Points
For a Draw you get 1 Point
For a Loss you get 0 Points

The cost to play in the Tournament will be 500G. This will allow us to offer prizes to the top players.

At this point, the Tournament will most likely be held from the 15th to the 22nd of October.

Decklists must be cleared by Jirya. She will not be playing and so is impartial.

Any questions regarding this tournament should be directed to Jirya, MagicMule or Mephisto_Fred. You can PM us if necessary.

There will be a 20 Player Limit.

At the time the tournament starts, Timespiral won't yet be in, it cycles in around the 20th.

ColdSnap cycles out in two years time. It is a stand-alone set and is separate to the normal cycle rules.

Since we live all around the world, finding a game time might not be simple.
To easily work out a time that both you and your opponent can play a tournament game.
Goto This link: TimeandDate.com

As an example:

I decide that I will be available to play between 4:30pm & 8:30pm (MY TIME) on 13th of Oct.

I tell my opponent this, and tell him/her where I live (Or the nearest City listed on the site above) In my case, Brisbane, Australia.

My opponent then follows the above link, and enters 4:30pm Brisbane time.
Then hits Calculate.

The page will then display what time it will be around the world when it is 4:30 in Brisbane. So my opponent just finds his location & he/she now knows what time I hope to play.

Any questions??
