I really like this short story...I can relate to it...A lot. Sure, my parents aren't alcoholics, but I used to live with a couple...
--------------------------------------

A young girl cried as her parents fought downstairs. She sighed and got back to her poetry.
“As I sit here, drowning in a bay of emotion and blood.
One can only wonder when it will stop.
I look down at the scars, and wonder if time truly heals all wounds.
As I sit here, blood flowing from the arteries in my wrist,
I wonder if things will ever truly be alright.”
“Tessa Emily Rose get down here right now!” Her parents screamed.
“Just a second,” Tessa yelled trying to get her parents to hear here, “I’m in the middle of something, but ill be right down.”
She saved her poem onto her laptop, and then came downstairs after putting on a hoodie.
Her parents looked at her with a bottle of vodka in each of their hands. They stumbled around and then sat down.
“Tessa, why are you wearing your hoodie?” Tessa's mom screamed looking at her sternly.
“No reason.” Tessa said innocently. “I was merely cold. Is that a crime now?”
“It’s 76 degrees according to the thermostat,” her mom said, her speech slurred, “How can you be cold?”
“Oh my god, do you always have to question me?” Tessa screamed.
“Take of your hoodie Tessa.” Her father said, looking sternly at his daughter.
Tessa removed her hoodie, and her parents looked at the blood still trickling down her arm. They took a gulp from their bottles and then her mother got up.
“This has happened for the last time Tessa. I am tired of you and your problems.” Her mother said taking the last gulp from the bottle. “And another thing…” Her mother could not finish what she was saying before she passed out.
Tessa sat in her room. Tears rushed down her cheeks, falling upon the wooden floor. Her wounds, a forever reminder of the abuse, and her scars, a story of her past.

I write sad poems, but my stories are kinda sappy/happy... meh... but the main character (you can just guess what her name is!) Usually has a lot of problems... but that's because I love to torture my characters inderectly... Heh, in a story, you're pretty much God, and you can do whatever you please, and not get blamed for it! Let me see... what should I do for the next one? That curse made for a good twist in the Phantom RP...

Hehe. Yes, tis what I love about stories...Its a good stress reliever, but then again, the charecters usually end up beheaded, in a pool of blood... sweatdrop

eek Aiek... yeah, I never behead them, I prefer to have them die by curses, or stabwounds, or something like that, with all limbs attatched!

Really? i write whatever mood I'm in, even if I'm real happy, it all sounds like I'm depressed, especially my poetry...

Nice, I wrote a poem for English class as well... we all did poems about the same thing, ourselves, they were all titled "I Am what I Am." Mine was a little morbid, especially the ending...

"I am the Healer who brought sight to your eyes,
I am Mysel, for you, I die."

Surprised they haven't called Mother and Father for that one yet...

Hehe. Well, the only reason my parents weren't called, is because they know my writing is an outlet, and therefore I write dark things...They know my writing is dark, and it keeps me from cutting.

My parents never found out the one time I cut, heh, writing usually keeps me from biting, or from lashin out at people... heh, I finished this 2 1/2 page poem that was based somewhat off of one of my stories!
