He is really brave being as he pulls pranks on a shapeshifting demon who has the power, will, and strength to kill him at any moment. He always carries a wooden sword just incase San does try to attack him, even if she could easily break the sword he keeps it so everyone will remember that he died fighting. Though San will not kill or badly injure Nomi for Chii's sake.
