Silver eyes stared at a foreign world, and a soft pink tongue flicked out from within a yellow form. Kifuno was a small scared snake, unaware of what his new surroundings could be. Was he dreaming? Staring up at the large green leafy things, he didn't think so.
A large storm had swept from the Pridelands and he could remember trying to burrow into their home fast enough to escape the water and wind, was it possible that he was actually swept away by the storm? Thoughts of his mother and father urging him to hurry up echoed in his mind, but it still all felt like a dream.
"MOOMMMY!" he hissed wriggling underneath leaves that clung to his form. The jungle (new place) was much more warm than his home, the air felt sticky and he couldn't breathe very well in all of this excitement, "ARE YOU THEREEE???"

The sleeping form of a naturally green snake rested in the tree just above the now lost baby snake. Everything was peaceful until the voice of Kifuno shrieked out causing Janja'Nyoka to wake up and to fall from her most comfortable branch.
This left the female snake very irratible and it was unfortunate for the baby snake. "Who daresssss dissssturb my preciousss ssssssleeep?!" Janja called out, no demanded, she was not going to let this sit the way it was. "I want an ansssssswer very sssssssoon or thingssss will get very ugly."

Kifuno shook in fear as the large voice called out and tried his best to hide his yellow form beneath the leaves above him. Unfortunately the yellow snake stood out like a sore thumb.
"Ssssssorry," he whispered his snake whipping out to taste the air. He could not see the green snake that fell from the sky. But could smell her as he stuck his tongue out.

Spotting the yellow scales instantly she slithered over ignoring any pain it caused her in doing so since she was sore from the fall. Janja had fallen from a height so it was natural she would be hurt.
When she saw that it was only a little one probably barely out of its egg her glare softened. "It issssss alright, I sssssssupossssse that I can forgive you for thissss one time."

"P-p-promise?" his soft eyes pleaded up at her. He was conforted to know that she would not hurt him, for now. Better be more careful next time!
"I am Kifuno, I look like my mom and dad!" He beamed and wriggled out from beneath the leaves, he was the perfect combination of his parents, well besides the fact he had no blue on him, "What is yooor name!?"
Thinking about his family sent pangs of home sickness and he really did hope that he was not too far away from the place he loved. He wanted to pick on his sister, and get dirty with his brothers!

"I promissse." Janja'Nyoka replied to the smaller and quite bright, in color, snake. However if he had been anything other than a snake she would not have been so kind.
"And I am Janja'Nyoka," That was all the adult snake said not willing to go into detail since she had little memories of her family, but she didn't mind it at all.
"What bringsss you here to the jungle little one?"

"The rain, I think," his mind flashed to the world right before the storm. The lightning had caused spots in his eyes, and the wind made his entire body cold. How could he have gotten so lost?
"Where is this place, it's sssso green!" He wriggled in the mud loving the feel of the soft earth against his scales. His tounge flicked out happily as he tasted and scented the warm air, here it was humid and sticky against his scales, not windy and cool.

"You are not acusssstom to rain?" Janja asked the other raising a brow in amusement, it rained quite often here in the jungle and she found it most comfortable and couldn't understand why the other was not used to it.
"You do not know? How pathetic..." Her last words were softer almost in audiable. "Thisss isss the foressst you fool."

"I am acousssstom to rain! I am just usually in my den," he hissed at her. She wasn't very nice! His feelings felt bruised and hurt. HE decided that at this point it was probably best to slither away.
"I'm just a baby, I never get away from mommy," he grunted and started on his way towards the inside of the forrest, thinking that he was going the /right/ way instead of going towards his home he was going away from it.
"I'll show you, you mean big ole ssssnake!"

"I hope that you are not trying to go deeper into the jungle for if you do you are doomed." Janja replied, she was like this because had grown up alone which was natural for her and her supposed family. "Many dangersssss lurk in the jungle, onesssss that mosssst young onessssss will not ssssssuceed in sssssssurviving." Then she said no more to see if the little one would heed her warning if not she might have to keep tabs on it which would be most annoying to the older snake.

"Could you help me find the Pridelands?" He turned his head and most of his body around to look at her fully. He did not want to die, he wanted his mother, wanted the warm embrace of his entire family's scales rubbing together in a knot inside of his small home.
"I don't want to not ssssucceed, I'm not like moossst sssnakes!" If he were a lion by now he would have puffed up his chest and roard, but he was a snake and they were more beautiful creatures, they did not do such things.

"I jussssssst know of the direction of the pride landsssssss, but I know sssssssome one who can take you there." Janja hissed at the little snake not as angry as before though.
"Not like mosssssst are you? Well that issssss your own fault." Janja shifted and smirked saying. "Sssssspeak of her and sssssshe will come...."

"The winds have told me that you are in need of my assitance yes?" The black and green maned wolf asked Janja recieving a nod from the snake understand almost instantly. She then glanced down at the yellow snake, "You need to return to the pridelands don't you?" There was a dull look to her eyes as she looked at the other.
No need to be herself with this one, it would only scare him, perhaps more than he already was.

"Y...y..esssss," he hissed, "home!" He wriggled towards her with blind childish trust, if she were to try and scoop him up he would willing go, he was not about to get in the way with an offer home. He wanted his mommy, and his sister, and brothers!

"I have no reason to do you harm, now do I little one?" The maned wolf asked him, her brow raised as her tail flicked behind her. She then lowered herself to her haunces. "Climb upon my back, I will be careful as to not let you slip.
The snake mearly chuckled as a yawn escaped her
