Welcome to Clan Wars: Dawn of the Elements! If you are new, make sure you check the announcement and know everything that's in this first post. If you're not new, check here every so often for updates and bios. You must know these rules to be in the guild. Violation of these will lose your team points and get you banned from the guild. Forum RulesNo looking in other Clans' OOC threads. These must be private. Even if you're sure you can seperate OOC knowledge from IC knowledge, please don't unless you're invited or the clan leader says its okay. In your In Character posts, do not use the new post-styles. Just keep a plain, standard, "text bubble" background. Go wild with the new borders and backgrounds in OOC posts for all I care, but keep them out of any IC stuff. As a sidenote (though it's common sense really) unless the RP specifically calls for it, please don't do the dice rolling/etc in the IC posts as well. Subforum RulesEveryone can view the archived threads forum, but noone may post in it, not even Mods. Threads may only be moved there from other (sub)forums The Clan-specific forums are OFF LIMITS for everyone from another Clan. Mods are allowed to go everywhere, but normal Clanmembers and the Clan leaders are ONLY allowed to view and post in their own subforum. If you want a thread to be accessible by everyone, post it in the main forum. All Gaia-wide rules, as well as all Guild rules, apply to the subforums. However, Clan Mods and Leaders may make their own rules for their subforum. If the rules are no good for some reason, a Mod WILL change them. If you're unsure if a certain rule can be allowed, just contact a Mod about it. How will the RPing/points system work? Each time a team completes a quest, they will gain a certain amount of Clan Points (CP). This amount can be larger or smaller depending on how well they completed the quest and if they found all of the information that they could. Additionally, Clans can sometimes unlock extra quests that only they can go on if they do certain things during quests. However, that is not the only way to gain (or lose) points for your clan. Good RPing is the main way for individuals to help their Clan get CP. Someone that develops their character and interacts with other characters/NPCs well can gain bonuses for their team. Also, someone that is willing to die in a battle for their Clan can gain CP; there will be fights to the death, and the Roleplay won't work if people aren't willing to let their characters die. (If you do die, your character will be revived at the Clan HQ; you will simply be removed from the quest that you died in.) A good way to lose CP for your team is to Godmode. Some of the elements get pretty powerful, but if you go around and use your powers above their maximum to win a fight, you'll lose a lot of points for your team and possibly get banned. I want this to be based more on good RPing than winning battles, so make sure you keep that in mind! The main goal of Clan Points is to buy spells and MP. Since it is the Clan leader who manages a Clan's CP, the leader also manages the spells of the members of that Clan. A separate thread will be made, listing the Clans' CP as well as each member's spells and MP values. If a leader wants to buy MP or spells, he or she simply posts it in that thread and a mod will edit the listing to reflect the new MP/spells and the decrease in CP. A level 1 spell costs 100CP to buy, level 2 costs 150, level 3 costs 200, and level 4 costs 250. Extra MP can be bought in packets of 20MP each, for a price of 25CP per packet. The amount of spells or MP a person has does not determine his or her strength in physical combat. Fighting strength is only determined by the character's biography and IC posts. However, Clan leaders are considered somewhat stronger than average members. Mods are just as strong as they want to be. This leaves a lot of room for godmoding and the likes, but we can all use our mind to avoid that. If not, that's what the mods are here for. Most spells have an MP cost per casting. This means that every time a spell is cast, the caster loses MP. The total MP left should be put at the bottom of each post in which a spell is used. If a character is getting low on MP (lower than half of the total MP left), the character will slowly begin to feel the effects of the magical drain, and will start becoming tired. The effect is not very big, but increases as the MP gets lower. If a character has no MP left, he or she is almost totally exhausted, and cannot fight effectively anymore. A character does not fall asleep or unconscious because of MP loss. MP is restored when a character gets a good night's rest, at the end of a quest, or when a mod says so. With the last one of course being the most important. If your mod says you can or can't recover MP, your mod is right. For spells that have a time indication, you don't need to go as far as to actually count the minutes something is active. If you use your mind, it should be fairly easy to estimate how long something can be active, and what actions you can take within that period. SettingThis RP takes place in a medieval/fantasy setting. Old-fashioned rifles from the 17th and 18th century are considered highly advanced and only available to members of Golem Corps and similar companies. The cities Barton, Durem, and Gambino are available to roleplay in, although your team will not be awarded points for what you do there (unless it is extremely well done character development or RPing.) BiosBefore you start RPing, you're going to need to make a bio and send it to your guild leader (guild leaders, please put the bios up in the respective following posts.) The bios are as follows: Name: Gender: Clan: Class: (include a description if you made it up, make sure you get it checked by me and your clan leader if that's the case) Desired lvl1 Element: Personality: History: Appearance: Other: MembersMissing bios have no star as of yet.Mods*Darkfyre (Earth) cipheralex (Sky) *Elexa (Life) *Kairos (Death) *Golem Death Clan*Kujasan (leader) *minmin *Neko Quatre *Gumdrop Whore Life Clan*Fenrir SongMoon (leader) *Zelyhon *Valgav *Euphoric Ghost Earth Clan*Frink (leader) *Deek *ObsidianSnake *[~Drittz~] *SunsetSea *Rupin Sky Clan*Lilthisia (leader) *Kharinya *Suoh Mizu *Aaron_SE Alliances:Rebels of the Sacred HeartLost Shards RPBroken City - Massive RP Event

Clan sub-elements and classes:Each character will have spells and a warrior class. Their warrior class determines how they fight and what weapons they are proficient in. The element system is a tad confusing, and PM me if you don't understand: Each element (aside from level one elements) is comprised of two lower level element. If you know an element , you can use the magic that that element provides you. To get a higher level element, you first need to have the two lower level elements that lead up to it. All elements cost CP to obtain, and MP to use. Each clan has three warrior classes that are exclusive to that clan. However, if you want to be a class that is not posted here (like barbarian or thief), then run it past me, but it should be fine. However, you CANNOT use a class of a different clan. Clan Sub-Elements The Sky ClanLevel one:Wind (5MP ): Wind has the power of creating minor blasts of air to knock enemies down, grab something from a distance, or to jump higher. Breath (20MP ): The Breath element allows the mage to make a target "inhale" or "exhale". Making a target inhale will temporarily boost their strength, speed, and will heal several cuts or bruises, while making someone exhale will weaken them and make them vulnerable to attacks. Rain (15MP ): Rain gives the mage minor healing abilities as well as the manipulation of water. They can heal small cuts and bruises and quicken the healing of mild wounds by touching the wound. Additionally, they can manipulate small amounts of water to blind and surprise enemies, as well as making them slip on puddles, etc. Cloud (10MP if used on allies, 15MP if used on enemies ): The element Cloud allows the mage to create mist and hide himself in fog. When hidden, the mage is harder to hit and to see. He can make a cloud large enough to cover up to two or three allies that are close. This element can also be used to make a condensed mist around an enemy, making it harder for them to see. However, this requires more energy and can only be used on one person at a time. Thunder (15MP ): Thunder allows the user to create small explosions of energy from their palms. This is not long range. It can be used to knock an enemy back or to smash open a door. The blast is moderately powerful and creates a large boom of thunder upon use. Lightning (15MP ): Lightning lets the mage throw bolts of electricity from their hands, shocking and damaging an opponent from a long range. These bolts are not terribly powerful, but they can start small fires and add up. Level two: Wind + Breath= Tornado (30MP ): The Tornado element lets the mage create powerful, condensed balls of wind that they can throw at enemies or use as shields. They can cause reasonable damage and protect a good part of the body. They can also be used to break down doors or smash through wooden walls. Rain + Cloud= Hurricane (10MP per minute ): Mages with the element Hurricane can create swirling mists of air and water that will give their team an advantage in battle. This spell makes their whole party harder to hit, slows down enemies, and can blind weaker enemies with water and fog. Thunder + Lightning= Storm (30MP ): The storm spell creates a condensed ball of electricity and then explodes it outwards, sending a volley of small daggers of electricity at opponents. This spell isn't good at smashing doors or bricks, but it is very good at inflicting pain on a group of opponents. Level three: Tornado + Hurricane= Tsunami (75MP ): Tsunami is a powerful element. It allows the mage to call up a massive pillar of water and send it crashing down on their enemies, doing massive damage and filling an area with ankle or knee deep water, depending on the situation. It can smash down a two story, wooden wall, or make a hole in a stone wall. Hurricane + Storm= Tempest (10MP per second ): Tempest creates a dome of purple electricity with a radius of 3-4 meters around the caster, heavily damaging everything inside. This is very good at damaging enemy parties and destroying objects. However, this also hurts allies of the caster, so beware! Level four: Tempest + Tsunami= Sky (300MP ): Besides from giving the mage mastery of all other Sky elements, the Sky element allows the mage to call upon giant, rippling pillars of force from the heavens, creating a shockwave with a radius of about 6 meters where it falls. This can turn reasonably large houses into rubble, and severely damage, if not kill, all who fall in the blast. The Earth Clan Level one: Pollen (5MP ): The Pollen element allows the mage to create several different types of pollen spray from their fingertips. This is a very versatile element, and can create mildly poisonous pollen, pollen that grants strength to whoever inhales it or just pollen that produces an aroma to communicate a message to an ally. This uses very little energy but is also not very powerful. Vine (2-4MP per minute ): The Vine element allows the user to create one or two vines at a time that can be used as weapons or to grab far away items. They can have thorns and be of varying lengths and thickness, although the longer, thicker, and thornier they are, the more energy they require to maintain. Wood (3-6MP per minute ): Wood grants the mage the ability to change their arms into wooden weapons. They can change their arms from anything to a mallet or a spear. This grants a lot of versatility and, if used correctly, can give the mage a unique advantage in battle. However, the wooden weapons are not terrible strong, and any damage inflicted upon the weapons will result in wounds upon the arms when they change back. Changing both arms doubles the cost of the spell. It takes about fifteen seconds to change an arm from one form of weapon to another. Spark (5MP ): Spark lets the mage create damaging sparks from their fingertips that can shock and damage enemies by touching them or create small fires. This is not very powerful, but it can be used consecutively against an opponent in rapid succession. Rock (10MP per minute or per rock ): The element Rock gives the user two main abilities. One, they can turn a small section of their body into rock, making it stronger and more defensive. Additionally, they can create medium-sized stones by gathering pieces of dust and rock from the ground and the air that can be used as thrown projectiles. Stream (15MP ): Stream also gives the mage two main abilities. First of all, it allows them to walk on water; this uses up no energy and can be done almost subconsciously. Second of all, it grants the user potent healing abilities, allowing them to heal most mild wounds and quicken the healing of more serious wounds. The mage must be touching the target to heal them. Level two: Pollen + Vine= Forest (25MP ):Forest allows the user to summon up to four animals at a time, as well as be somewhat camouflaged into green or forest surroundings. The animals that they can summon include badgers, wolves, hawks, squirrels, and other small, forest animals. While most of these animals are not great at fighting, they provide some useful abilities. A mage can summon up to four animals at a time. Wood + Spark= Flame (30MP ): Flame grants the mage the ability to create reasonably large fires. These fires can be thrown in the form of fireballs and, upon contact, they usually erupt into fires with a radius of one or two meters. Rock + Stream= Mud (30MP ): Mud allows the user to throw a giant glob of mud at an enemy, making them unable to move and use some magic for up to one minute, depending on the strength and magical abilities of the enemy. The globes of mud are about half the size of a normal man. Additionally, the mage can use this element to regenerate their small wounds by turning part of their body into mud and moulding it back into its normal shape. Level three: Forest + Mud= Stone (55MP per minute or per ball ): Stone is basically a much more powerful form of the Rock element. With it, the mage can turn their whole body into stone, granting them unsurpassable defence and strength. They can also create giant balls of stone, of almost 2 meters in radius, to throw at their enemies. Flame + Mud= Lava (75MP ): Lava allows the user to create beams of smouldering lava that can melt through brick and flesh. These beams have a radius of 1-3 cm and can go from 6-10 meters away, depending on the thickness. Each beam can be maintained for about 10 seconds. Level four: Stone + Lava= Earth (300MP ): Earth, aside from granting the mage mastery over all other Earth spells, lets the user create earthquakes. These quakes can cover a radius of 5 meters around the caster and cause massive damage to all buildings and people caught in its range, regardless of whether they are allies or enemies. The Death Clan Level one: Undead (30MP ): Undead allows the mage to summon up to one zombie at a time. These zombies are slightly weaker than even the weakest player. However, they work well in combat in numbers and with their summoners. Only one zombie can be maintained at any time. Unholy (15MP ): Unholy allows the user to create a small globe of dark energy that can be thrown to damage an opponent or heal an undead creature. It creates a small wound on contact, and while it is not as powerful as some other elements of its level, wounds caused by the Unholy element cannot be healed through magic. Shadow (3MP per minute ): The Shadow element grants its user stealth, letting them hide themselves in shadow. They can make their selves harder to be seen with low light and almost impossible to see in dark areas, but if they are completely exposed in daylight, then this magic will do almost nothing. Cold (20MP ): Cold fills a target's bones with a frigid air, slowing down their movement and reaction speed while simultaneously making them weaker. This spell can greatly inhibit someone during battle, and therefore takes up a lot of energy. When used against someone, it lasts for about two minutes. Pain (15MP ): Pain allows the mage to inflict pain on a given target, immobilizing them and making them unable to make action for several seconds. The pain slowly fades away, leaving the target somewhat inhibited for another minute or two. This causes no real wounds and therefore cannot kill. However, it is good for creating fear and interrogation. Poison (15MP ): Poison temporarily sprays poison out of the mage's fingertips. If this poison touches an open wound, it will infect a small part of it, causing moderate pain to the target and making the wound much harder to heal. It can be used 6-7 times before the mage depletes their energy. Level two: Undead + Unholy= Necromancy (35MP ): Necromancy is mainly a more powerful form of Undead. It allows the caster to summon up to three zombies at a time. It also gives them the bonus of automatically turning a dead team-mate into a zombie, regardless of the amount of energy the mage has or the amount of zombies they have summoned. Shadow + Cold= Ice (30MP ): Ice allows a user to throw shards of ice at their enemies. While these shards are not particularly big, the wounds they make are not what make them deadly. Rather, it is their effect on the body. They cause a chill to seep through a body that they hit, inhibiting it even more than the Cold element would. Additionally, if an enemy is hit by more than one ice shard, the effects add up. Sometimes, an enemy's heart will stop after they are hit with three or four ice shards from the cold. Pain + Poison= Suffering (30MP ): Suffering is a more powerful version of pain. It causes immense stress on the nervous system of a body, creating a large amount of pain to the target. This will cause weaker enemies to writhe on the floor in pain for up to 10 seconds, while stronger ones will simply be unable to do anything for that amount of time. The pain stays fresh in the target's mind for several minutes, severely harming their ability to think and act. However, like Pain, it does no real harm to the body. Level three: Necromancy + Suffering= Lich (90MP per minute ): The element Lich allows the user to create an unholy aura that spreads across the length of a large room. This aura significantly boosts the strength of all undead, making normal zombies stronger than a weak player. Additionally, it shrouds the area in semi-darkness, boosting the stealth spell. Finally, it continuously damages all enemies in the area with unholy damage. This spell gives a huge advantage in battle to the caster's party. Ice + Suffering= Torment (75MP ): Torment is very similar to Suffering. It makes the exact same effect on its targets. However, while Suffering only affects one target, Torment affects all enemies within a radius of 5-6 meters around the caster. Level four: Lich + Torment= Death (300MP ): Death, aside from granting the mage mastery over all Death elemental spells, gives the mage the ability to murder. Simply by the terrifying force of their will, the mage can kill people from a distance. Death cannot be used on a Clan leader. The Life Clan Level one: Cleansing (15MP ): Cleansing gives the user potent healing powers, allowing them to heal most mild wounds and quicken the healing of larger ones. They can also use this spell to cause mild wounds upon undead enemies. For both effects, they must be touching the target. Vision (0MP ): Vision gives the mage enhanced sight, allowing them to see through shadow and cloud spell effects. It also gives them a small amount of foresight and can help them guess the next move an opponent will make in battle. Additionally, it allows the mage to see what emotions another character is feeling. Holy (15MP ): Holy lets the user create small balls of divine energy and throw them at targets. These can cause mild wounds on regular opponents and are especially effective against the undead. A mage can create 7-8 of these before depleting their stamina. Light (15MP ): Light grants the user manipulation of light, allowing them to make a glowing light around them to lighten dark areas or make flashes of light to temporarily blind their enemies. However, after the first several times, enemies will get a small immunity to these flashes, nullifying their effect. Strength (15MP ): The element Strength allows the mage to temporarily boost an ally's strength. This spell increases someone's strength by around 50% and lasts for about one minute. Barrier (15MP ): Barrier grants the mage the ability to create small shields of light around them. Each shield can take a powerful, physical blow or an offensive spell before breaking. Level two: Cleansing + Vision= Clairvoyance (30MP ): Clairvoyance gives the user significant bonuses to their vision, allowing them to see through the hurricane spell effect. Additionally, it lets the user predict what moves or actions someone will make in the next minute or so, as well as allowing the mage to see what another person of similar level is thinking. Finally, someone with Clairvoyance can meditate and see what is happening in another area. This is the only aspect of Clairvoyance that requires MP. The use of this spell can only be detected by other mages with the Clairvoyance spell. (If you use this to see what is happening in another thread, you must post in that thread that you are using the Clairvoyance spell to spy on them, even if their characters do not know). Holy + Light= Divine (30MP ): Divine lets the mage create beams of holy energy to send at their enemies. These beams are considerably powerful, and are very strong against the undead. Strength + Barrier= Might (30MP ): Might lets the mage significantly enhance an ally's strength and defence for several minutes. This will weaken all attacks against them and double their strength. Level three: Divine + Clairvoyance= Prophet (0MP ): Prophet encases a mage in holy flames that strike out at enemies when they damage the user, making them take a third of the damage that they inflict on the mage in melee combat. This spell is always active when the mage is conscious and requires no energy. Divine + Might= Crusade (75MP per minute ): Crusade allows the user to call upon the powers of God to strengthen their whole party. This gives all allies of the mage in the same room the bonus that Might would give them, and it gives the mage three times his normal strength and even more defence than Might would usually grant them. Level four: Prophet + Crusade= Life (250MP when resurrecting, 75mp when healing ): The element Life, besides granting the mage control of all other Life elements, allows the mage to bring their fallen allies back to life. It also lets the mage heal their allies fully (except for wounds caused by an unholy element.) Clan Warrior Classes The Sky ClanLongbow man: The longbow man, surprisingly enough, uses a longbow. They fire powerful bolts from a long range, attempting to kill the enemy before they get too close. This works well with the wind and tornado elements, as they can give bonuses to the range and power of the longbow. Fencer: The fencer uses thin, quick rapiers to slash and parry. They use a smooth, flowing, and surprisingly fast fighting style to open as many wounds on their opponent and to not get hurt themselves. They do not use a large amount of strength, and rather than trying to hit their opponents' vital organs, they simply make so many cuts that their enemies die of blood loss. Monk: The monk uses hand to hand combat to defeat their opponents. Many of their attacks are based on smashing their open palm into their enemies' weak points. This allows them to knock the breath out of an opponent's lungs or disrupt their heartbeat so they will be weakened during the battle. The Earth ClanRanger: The ranger is a master of the bow and is also decent with a short sword. Rangers work well with the Forest element, as they have an innate connection to animals and are good at walking stealthily. Beastman: Beastmen are men with immense strength and stamina. Their general weapon of choice is the battle axe. However, they also work well with the vine, and wood elements, as they can use these to give them other weapons that they are also proficient with in battle. Grappler: Grapplers rely on grabbing, throwing, and pinning enemies to win a battle. Like beastmen, they have a lot of strength and stamina. However, they do not work well with weapons, and prefer to use their hands in battle. Because of this, they work especially well with the rock and stone elements. The Death Clan
Assassin: Assassins rely on hiding in the shadows and attacking an unsuspecting enemy from afar. They usually use crossbows or short bows to ensure efficiency and good aim, but more skilled assassins sometimes use longbows so they can snipe on their enemies. They often poison their arrows before they fire, and therefore usually use the Poison element. Ninja: Ninjas are masters of stealth and try to jump out from the shadows at enemies, making them good with the Shadow element. They generally fight with katanas and have a swift, flowing combat style. They also keep several spare shuriken and kunai to throw at enemies from afar. Dark Knight: Dark Knights rely on brute strength. They generally wield greatswords, battle axes, or double-bladed swords, and always wear full-scale body armor. As many enemies are too fast to be hit by their massive, powerful swings, they often use the Pain and Cold elements to debilitate their enemies before close combat. The Life Clan
Marksman: The Marksman uses a crossbow with small, efficient bolts. They rely solely on their aim and attempt to hit weak spots on their enemies, like their neck, eyes, and skull. Less skilled marksmen are not very good at fighting, as it is difficult to hit these spots in the heat of battle. However, master marksmen can often kill enemies with one quick shot, even when distracted by a full-fledged fight. This class works very well with the Vision and Clairvoyance elements, as they grant the marksman enhanced aim and sight. Swordsman: Swordsmen are masters of sword fighting and usually wield two swords at a time. They generally carry several different types of swords on their body for different situations and can switch between two swords effortlessly, giving them maximum versatility in battle. Their fighting style is both offensive and defensive, as well as fast. However, it takes a lot of training for someone to truly master the swordsman skills. Paladin: Paladins are similar to Dark Knights in almost every way. They have a lot of stamina and strength, and they usually wear heavy armor. However, they usually use spears, lances, and long swords, and generally have a somewhat faster fighting style than their counterparts. Highly trained Paladins are also very good at fighting from a horse.

Sky Clan BiosLilthisia's Bio Name: Sylphia Norikae Gender: Female Clan: Sky (leader) Class: Monk Element: Tempest
Personality: Sylphia will always claim to place a very high value on freedom. What she means by freedom may vary from situation to situation. She likes to put her self on the side supporting "freedom" and will frequently claim to be "freeing" someone from something. In her youth she threw the term "freedom" around quite liberally, but she is beginning to recognize that overusing a term will not help her cause... whatever that may be at the time. Many upper class persons also frown upon this promotion of freedom, as such things tend to lead to upsets in the status quo. She takes her position as sky clan leader very seriously, sometimes too much so, and understands the general rules and order of society, even if she often chooses to ignore them. To her friends and clan mates she is known to be naive in many ways, yet quick to question, and rather curious. Being the kind of person who will never lose their youthful enthusiasm, she often gives the impression of being younger than she is, an impression supported by the fact that she is also slight of build. Very optimistic, she still has a tendency to let responsibility worry her, but is easily distracted from such things. Impulse decisions are the norm with her, and she may value aesthetic appeal higher than functionality.
History: Sylphia was brought up by a relatively wealthy family. She has two older brothers who are expected to maintain the family's wealth, so she was allowed to devote her time to pursuits of her choice. Some would say she was spoiled, but Sylphia likes to call it "having freedom in her childhood". Being naturally gracefull, she was attracted to the study of dance, but soon decided that this was too much something for entertainment alone. That is when she began studying martial arts. In her early studies, she learned the art part of the martial arts, developing fluidity of motion, balance, and precision, not seriously studying the combat side in much detail until she became more involved in the Sky Clan. Finding she had an innate dislike for most strength building exercises, she focused on speed more than power in her style. Eventually, her sky powers manifested themselves in the form of thunder. She quickly incorporated this into her fighting style, which has seen little use beyond sparing, coordinating swift accurate strikes with the explosions of thunder, to make up for her relative lack of strength. Apparently, someone saw potential under her innocence and inexperience, because she received training in her powers, and eventually reached the rank of leader that she now holds. Wanting to set a goal for herself, she fell back on her childhood claims of freedom. She has quickly discovered that freedom, while it sounds simple, is actually quite complex, but this has deterred her in very few of her enthusiastic speeches in favor of it. Since she is still not entirely sure what she means when she says she is supporting freedom, her opinion on any given subject is liable to change at a moments notice. She is currently devoting her abundant energy to "freeing the people from their current distress over recent foreboding events".
Appearance: Being only an inch or two over five feet, and rather slim in all proportions, Sylphia is not a very intimidating figure. She is very athletic, but has done little to develop actual muscle. Her light brown hair falls to about her mid back, and is either braided, under a hat, or is a fuzzy mess. She hardly wears any hats but berets, and flatly refuses to go out in public without one if she didn't bother braiding her hair that morning. A fuzzy mess is all right among friends, but who knows who she'll see outside! Her blue-gray eyes are set in an almost continually cheerful face that is also almost continually forced to look up at people. Because she doesn't particularly like to look up at people, she has taken to kneeling, as opposed to actually sitting, in most chairs. Her attire is generally loose, although it might not be if she were not so small. She wears clothes that do not restrict her motion, and avoids skirts and dresses as much as she can. She wears colors meant to be reminiscent of the sky, largely blue and white, but with a bit of yellow.
Other: As a leader, Sylphia is still not sure of herself, being relatively new to the position, and still a bit young. She seeks to find competent people within the guild to use as her advisors and officers. She also has not seen much real combat, though she considers herself well prepared for it. ((I tried to describe as well as I could how I will play this character, however even as I write bios character concepts sort of morph in my mind, so forgive me if my roleplaying of Sylphia varies from this a bit. sweatdrop ))
Kharinya's Bio Name: Decira Cardan Gender: Female Clan: Sky Class: Fencer Element: Lightning Personality: Having been raised for most of her life in the rich atmospheres of Durem and Gambino, it's no surprise that Decira has a touch of a snobby attitude. She is used to getting what she wants when she wants it and gets angry somewhat easily when things don't go her way. Most of the time she doesn't show any cares for the situations around her, although she usually is rather interested. She knows when she has to be proper and has been trained to act that way if she has to. She has a bit of a bratty anger problem and if she gets mad, she sometimes gets violent. Decira cares quite a bit about how she looks, although she tries to hide it. Decira isn't a total snob, though. Her years in Barton with her grandparents did her a lot of good. She cares very deeply for those close to her and (when she's not in a bad mood) tends to come off as a very calm, kind person. She has an adventurous streak and really likes to fence and play around with her magic. Decira is very smart, although she sometimes come off as ditzy and stupid. History: Decira was born in Durem and lived there with her mother and father for the beginning of her life. Her father worked for Golem Corps and her mother stayed home with Decira. She started to take fencing lessons while she lived in Durem, but they were cut short when her mother and father separated at age 10. Her mother took Decira with her to Barton where they lived with Decira's grandparents. Barton was much different than Durem, which Decira quickly realized. The girl's grandmother and grandfather disapproved of Decira's rich, snobbish attitude, as did her classmates. Her attitude slowly changed and she became kinder and less snobbish towards her classmates and family members. She also began to accept the idea of magic, which she'd been raised not to tolerate in Durem. Her interest in fencing continued, and Decira would sometimes fight with her classmates in the coliseum on nice weekends. If Decira wasn't participating in fights, she was sitting in the coliseum watching. When she was 15, her mother remarried and took her from her grandparents in Barton to live with her new step-father in a mansion in Gambino. While there, her interest in magic increased, she took up fencing lessons again, and her rich environment revived her snobbish attitude. Frustrated with her step-father and mother, Decira joined the Sky Clan when she was 19. Appearance: Decira is about 5'4", has blue eyes, and very long blonde hair tied back in a smooth ponytail that sits high on her head. She has sharp, graceful features and smooth, light skin. She also wears a blue jacket with thick white trim that crosses over and buttons on her side. She has black boots that end just below her knee. (Kinda like THIS: xp ) Weapons (Optional): Rapier Suoh Mizu's Bio Name: Suoh Mizu Gender: Male Clan: Sky Class: Fencer Element: Cloud Personality: Suoh is quiet and thoughtful. His training in the forest taught him that words mean less than direct action. He often has much to say but very rarely says it. He hates it when others keep their cards hidden but he has to admit hypocracy because he will never reveal himself. He enjoys helping others who are willing to expose themselves because it makes him feel better about what he has hidden. He very rarely shows outward affection however. History: Suoh's mother was a slave in a great castle, his father was a prince but he ran away when she told him because he could never show his affection for his father. He met a hermit in the forest who trained him for two years. After the two years the hermit died and Suoh left the land he was born in for other places. As he practiced among the trees he eventually realized he could summon fog to block his opponent just as he used his practice to hide what he was truly running from, the fact that he has no real family and must suffer for his illegitimacy. Appearance: Suoh dresses in a blue tunic that provides some protection from physical punches. The wetsuit he wears underneath is simply to keep him warm while swimming and living in the forest. He wears baggy pants to allow for faster movements of his legs. His carries a rapier that is very basic in appearance but has feathers carved around the hilt. Other: Suoh just wants to feel like he belongs but isn't sure if he can handle being needed all the time. Aaron_SE's Bio Name: Kritos Eijiki Gender: Male Clan: Sky Class: Quote: Martial Artist, not only is his body a weapon but his mind. Capable of using almost any fighting style with great force this class can also use weapons. Weapons such as Shaolin Spades, Spears,Schmitars, and others. Usually very content but if hes moody stay away or he might just blow. A closet pervert. If you have a good body don't expect him to look at your eyes. History: His father died when he was only four years old. A martial arts teacher took him in and trained him to be like his father. After many years it was his final exam. He was to have a death-match with the teacher. It was not what he wanted but he knew what he had to do. Instead of killing the teacher he snuck up from behind and knocked him out when his guard was down. He packed his bags and left to joing the clan wars in order to uncover his powers. Appearance: Long jet black hair, ice blue eyes, large trench coat. He has a tattoo on his back. It is a skull engulfed in flames. Not alot of people have seen it since he never takes his shirt off when he trains. Very sleek and slim. Much stronger than he looks. Other: None really.

Earth Clan BiosFrink Here is my bio for Wiveri, the leader of Earth Clan. Hope you like it! Name: Wiveri Gender: Male Clan: Earth Class: Grappler Element: Lava Personality: Wiveri is calm, cool, and collected. He knows how to operate quickly even during the heat of battle- actually, he thinks better there! He is very loyal to his clan. He has to be, since he is the Earth Clan Leader. He can be your best friend or your worst enemy- and if you are, expect to stay that way for a while. He remembers a lot, and can hold a grudge. He doesn't get attached to other people easily, and likes to go away and think for a while. He also likes to lead, and prides himself in his ability to judge others. He does, however, have a reluctance to kill humans and avoids it if possible. History: The most common tale of the Earth leaders history is that Wiveri was born a peasant in a small fishing village. His parents wanted him to take up fishing, but he found that he had a green thumb, and left to become a farmer. He had been harvesting corn from his field one day when some Earth Clanners pleaded that he house them for a while so that they might hide from their enemies. They found them there, and after a fierce battle that was hardly one, he discovered his ability. He had been helping the healer and saw that he kept saying "Stream", and that it was helping. When the healer could do no more, he took over. He tried three times, and on the third- it always was a lucky number- it worked. He healed the remaining people, and was invited to join the clan. His house was burned, his fields destroyed, and he had nothing left there. He sold off his stock and then accepted it after a few weeks of thinking. He quickly rose through the clan ranks, and when the old clan leader died, he was chosen. The rest of his past has been lost, and only a few theories remain. But they all say this: He was no ordinary man. Appearance: Wiveri has straight brown hair that lays flat on his head. His bangs are cut short, so as not to mess up his eyesight. His brown eyes are soft, and his features are normally dark with thought. He has lightly tanned skin and dark pink lips. He got lucky: He has no teeth gaps and he keeps them very clean. He has a pointy, yet unobtrusive, nose, and his ears stay close to his head. He has short eyelashes and singed eyebrows from using various skills. He has lots of muscle, and wears a flexible brown leather jerkin covered with chain mail that is strapped to his body with chains. He also wears cloth plants with tiny links of chainmail linked in for minor protection and as much flexibility as he can keep. His jerkin covers his arms to his elbows, and he wears a brown wool shirt underneath that he got from his relatives, which reaches to his elbows and goes a little past his jerkin. He also wears tight-fitting gloves that help protect him from swords. These have leather bumps to help hold on to things like swords. He normally walks barefoot, but wears running shoes (or the equivalent of them). His clothing is mostly plain and unadorned, so as to help him blend in without the Forest ability. His rather large muscles are a result of lots of wrestling and training. Other: Wiveri is the leader of Earth Clan. He also rox your sox, so be afraid. ObsidianSnake Name: Jeigan Crous Gender: Male Clan: Earth Class: Grappler Element: Spark Personality: A hardy person with a temper, Jeigan likes his ale and gets into many a bar fight. He loves money, valuables, and grinding his knuckles into someone's face when they anger him. Although a good-natured person at heart, Jeigan acts gruff and will always give people a hard time about anything related to money. He never passes up the oppertunity to a free drink as his liver is strong as an ox. History: Jeigan was a farmer for several years, and was then drafted into the military as he came into the age of his manhood. He fought there for many years, and retired after a semi-recent war. Now at the age of 39, Jeigan is still as strong as he ever was with a flair for combat. Appearance: Jeigan is a short stocky man about 5'7", weighing in at about 260 lbs. He has a long nasty-looking beard to match his dirty blonde hair that cascaded down to his shoulders, although he tighs it back. Jeigan can be seen carrying a large bag, most likely his possesions. It looks to others as if he trains himself often because of his large muscular build, but he really only does about once a month. He wears loose, brown pants with a leather belt, large black boots that seem very worn and used. Jeigan wears a small white shirt under his large brown coat that isn't worn very often; he likes to try and intimidate others with his muscles. A small red cloth is tied around his arms, portraying his clan's symbol. [~Drittz~] Name: Drittz Gender: Male Clan: Earth Class: Grappler Element: Rock Personality: Drittz can be a very quiet person and is a perfectionist. He is never indifferent on anything. And he does not fear death. Training is the main focus of Drittz and he takes it very seriously. Not much can make him mad either, he has learned to divert his anger to more constructive outlets. But once he does get mad it is not something you want to see. Fits of rage are not uncommon in a situation such as this for Drittz. Although in combat, he does not let this rage overcome him. He knows the importance of confidence and focus in combat. History: Drittz was raised in a martial arts academy from the time he was 3 after his parents died. This of course left him very independent and he began training everyday for hours at a time after reaching the age of 7. At 13 his sensai died and Drittz was left with all of his sensai's earthly possessions. Among these was a training manual to the elemental power of rock. Which Drittz studied and perfected on his own. Drittz was 18 when he left the academy. Since leaving the academy, he has started training more than ever to make his muscles as close to real rocks as he can. The purpose of this is so that he doesn't have to use his elemental power more than absolutely necessary. It is not uncommon for Drittz to lift small trees and boulders. He has taken to staying in quiet places to focus on his training. Along with his brute strength and skill in martial arts, he makes a very formidable opponent. And definately not one you would want to take on single handedly. Appearance: Drittz is fairly tall at 5 feet 10 inches and has a medium brown colored skin. He is muscular and is very defined. He is often seen in black clothing. He always has on sunglasses that once belonged to his father. His hair is kept trimmed and he has no facial hair. SunsetSea Name: Frock Linter Gender:Male Clan:Earth Class: Trainer- One who wields a animal of any kind that does its owners biddings. This animal can do many things, yet is weak and needs constant attention.(Frock's pet would be an owl.) If not then I will be a Grappler. Element: Vine Personality: A very lighthearted traveler whom set out into the world after his town was destroyed. He hides his feelings with a merry veil to many whom he comes across in his travels. Frock is occasionally bitter and does not watch his tongue and may appear to be cross. He also ,at times, seems to lose his focus on reality as he remembers his past. History: When Frock was a child he spent his time in the fields of his parent's farm doing chores. He would wander along next to the lush forestry happily ever day. As he wandered he began to realize he had powers that he had never heard of before. On his palm there seemed to be a seed growing along his veins. These gave him power, yet he feared it. Not understanding his eccentricities he had spent more time in the forest and only came home for food in brief increments. One day he came across a wounded owl by a small stream that flowed through their property. Worried, He ran over and began to nurse it back to health. He stayed day and night with the beautiful white owl only going home to get food and supplies. Day by day the owl became strong and once it had recovered it stayed by Frock's side. Toc, as he was named, began to help Frock with meaningless tasks such as getting berries on the top of trees until one day there came a brush fire. Frock was now 15 when the flames began to spread. It engulfed his forest and homeland in its own baneful glory. His town was covered in flames when Frock finnally made it back. He began to weep as his beloved home and forest burned to ashes. After the fire ended ashes were the only abundunt flourishing thing left. Frock then turned his back and walked away from his town, after burying his parents, and marched onward looking for a new home. Appearance: He is a young man with raggy brown hair. His wears ruddy brown khaki pants. He has brown eyes that seems to sparkle in the sunlight as he moves along with his faithful bird on his shoulder. His silk cloak covers his many herbs and seeds he had hidden in his pockets and he wore placid black gloves that covered his hands. He has wooden moccasins on his feet and bears a long black undershirt under his cloak. Rupin Name: Rupin Linus Gender: Male Clan: Earth Class: Grappler Element: Rock Personality: Though seemingly brutish and large on the outside, Rupin is a very quiet, thoughtful and considerate man. He is always helping those in need, and is loyal through and through to the cause he chooses. He has a reputation for losing his temper, but he's usually a nice guy. He's very social and always up for a laugh, but takes his work seriously whatever it may be. History: Rupin was raised by his Uncle from the age of 3, because his parents where assassinated. When Rupin was 18, his Uncle died of a strange illness, which wiped out the whole village but ignored Rupin. He's been wandering the land and working for different people since then. He first worked as a handyman for a local farmer, but soon decided that he needed more action in his life. He joined the Royal Durem Guard but was banished for insubordination. He had failed to cary out the order to burn a village to the ground. Having failed to find his calling, he wandered all around Gaia and narrowly avoided being enslaved, amongst other things. He came to work in Barton, and a month in his new job, he heard about the clan wars and decide to fight for the best cause, which (in his opinion) was the Earth Clan. Appearance: Rupin is 6"3, has silver hair and amber eyes. The origins of these strange features are unknown. He has medium muscle tone and wears baggy trousers, with hand wraps to pummel any thing in his way. His feet are also in wraps to protect them when he kicks enemies. He weighs about 70kg and looks rather intimidating. He wears nothing on his torso as he gets hot easily. Other: Rupin searches for his purpose in life and the person who killed his parents but has so far found neither. Deek Name: Yves (pronounced eve) Gender: Female Clan: Earth Class: Ranger Element: Mud Personality: yves is a playful prankster type. She loves to tease people and loves sarcasm. Even though she likes to play, when it comes to business she is as calm, collected and serious as can be. She has many friends but the people she is actually close to, she is protective of and very loyal to. History: Yves was born to parents who were both trappers and hunters. She was raised to learn to live and trade on these skills. She found her skills very early in life when they went to check on their traps in late spring. It was a normal day when they checked the traps, only one thing was different, In one of the traps they found an injured horse. Apparently the local rich man's son had taken a hunting party out of their alotted hunting lands while trying to show off. He had ridden ahead of the party and had run his horse straight into the traps. The son was nowhere to be found and this angered Yves. She was upset that someone could leave such a gentle creature alone to die like this. It's leg had been snapped and the horse must have been in some sort of shock because it was just laying there with wide eyes staring at Yves. Yves' parents were readying to put it out of it's misery when Yves placed her hands on the leg and fell into a sort of daze, murmuring. Water sprang from her hands and laced like strands around the horses broken leg. It was a slow process since Yves had not done such things before and she fainted from exhaustion after she was through. She slept for 3 days and when she woke she fond that the rich man's son had accused her parents of putting their traps too close to his father's territory. Even though they claimed that the territory was open, and even though the trapper's guild backed them the rich man's son still put them into jail. Yves had been sent to be raised by an old wise woman in the nearby village since she had shown earth powers. Her parents served their time in jail but along with the jail sentence they had been sentenced to serve as the rich man's hunters for the rest of their lives. Yves had tried many times to go and "rescue" her parents but had been caught each time and sent back to the wisewoman. When she reached the age of 13 she finally got into the rich man's mansion only to find that he had killed her parents for attemting to escape 2 years earlier. Angered by this she went back to the wisewoman and thanked her for raising her and then promtly left. She traveled for 3 years, living off the land, honing her bow skills, and training herself in both bow and hand to hand knife fighting. It was an exceptionally cold winter and very sparce living when she met Wiveri. She had be sleeping in a large tree, a few branches off the ground, wrapped in a blanket and shivering when he had come upon her. She had been nearly emaciated and he took pity on her and brought her to Barton Town with him to treat her. He had planned to send her off once she had a little more meat on her bones but she had begged that he let her stay with him once she found out that he was the Earth Clan leader. He was skeptical at first, but when she showed him her powers and her exceptional bow and knife skills as well as her trapping and hunting skills he relented. She has loyally followed him ever since. Appearance: Yves is a small and unintimidating girl. At 18, she is only 5'0" and 100 lbs. She has pale skin and almost white hair with bright pale blue eyes. For all her liveliness, she is often confused as a ghost during the night and she uses this to her advantage. She keeps her pale hair cropped short to keep out of her eyes and so as not to get caught in anything. Her eyes are very large and round and her lips full, as well as her face having a babyish look to it. For all her baby features she is very bony and not really all that womanly. She moves like a cat and when fighting she tries not to stay in the same palce for a long time. She wears light colored leathers and hides and never wears anything heavy so as to keep her movements free. She wears climbing boots and leather gloves for her bow work and protection. Other: She is Second-in-comand in earth clan. She is an incredible trapper, tracker, and hunter. She is also very skilled in climbing and running quickly for short distances. Her bow skills are unmatched and she has street knife fighting skills.

Moderator Character BiosDarkfyre's Bio Meh... didn't feel like filling in the standard character sheet, so I did it like this, a sort of interview. I don't have English spellchecker installed here, so it's bound to contain typo's or other errors. I didn't feel like writing the lines for the interviewer, so a lot of the "..." bits is where Meric is silent and the interviewer is talking. I did a really really short verion of it at the end, for those who don't like reading. But then, why are you RPing in the first place? I realize that an assassin character might make people think of ties with Clan Death, but I assure you Meric has no ties with any clan or element. He'll just be doing his own thing. wink There's a hint of tension in the air as the man sits down. Despite his friendly smile and soft features, his eyes are deep and cold like ancient lakes. When the light shines on them from a certain angle, they almost seem to reflect the light. A thin scar runs from behind his left ear over his cheek, but even from across the table it's not very visible. His dark brown hair is loosely tied back, just reaching past his shoulders. He is of avarage height and build, with no special or unusual traits. His clothes are simple traveler's clothes (pants, shirt, worn leather boots, dirty cloak), and does not seem to be wearing any armor, except for two leather bracers, reinforced with metal strips. The entire outfit appears designed to blend in with the masses, and to prevent any attention being attracted to it's wearer. This might have worked, if not for two things. First of all, a slender sword, about three feet long, hangs from a metal ring, attached to his belt with leather straps. Apart from that the wearer's body language betrayed him. His posture and attitude seem to ooze the carefulness of someone who wants to be aware of everything around him and control it, as well as the self-confidence of someone who has -or at least believes he has- that awareness and control. "All of this will remain strictly confidential, right? ... Good. Ask your questions." Although the man's deep voice sounds like hardly more than a whisper, it is clearly audible, even over the many other soft voices in the tavern. He has an accent betraying that he's not originally from this area. At the first question, the man raises an eyebrow. "My name? You want to ask me questions, but you don't even know my name? ... formalities, eh? Tchh. Didn't do your homework, did you? There's nothing preventing me from givin' you a false name, is there? ... Very well, I came her in order to do things by the book, I suppose. The name's Meric Cephyr. ... M-E-R-I-C C-E-P-H-Y-R. ... Indeed. But..." Merik pauses for a moment, as a slight grin forms on his face "...I might be better known under another name. My, ehrm, 'business name', one might say. It's 'Black Arrow'." Merik paused again, awaiting a reaction. None came. "You know... as in 'The Black Arrow never misses'? Doesn't sound familiar? ... Echh. Your pulling my leg, aren't you? ... No?" Merik frowns for a second, and then shrugs. "Ah well. I can't blame you. I just assumed that the name would've spread a bit..." "31 years old. ... Yes" "My background? Why would you want to know... Ah never mind, you don't need to repeat yourself. All standard questions right? ... Necessary information. Right. Well... There's nothing much to tell about how I grew up. My parents were farmers. With three older brothers and an older sister, I was the youngest child. At first all of us wanted to take over the farm when we would grow up, but later my two oldest brothers decided to find their fortune elsewhere. I don't know what the oldest did, but the other joined the knights. I heard he got pretty high up the ranks, but I lost contact with him after a while. Some time later I decided that living my life on the farm wasn't for me either, especially since my other brother -the one that didn't leave- really loved the farming business. So, one day I left home as well. That was..." Meric stops talking for a moment, counting the years in his head "...about fourteen years ago. Yes, I was only 15 years old. Way too young, of course. It was only a matter of time before I ended up with the 'wrong' people. I got involved with a band of thieves in a nearby city, and proved to have a natural skill for the job. Remaining undetected, gaining entrance to guarded areas... stuff like that. I was good at it, and gradually I recieved bigger, more challenging tasks. Eventually, I attracted the attention of some people higher up the chain of command. It turned out that the thieves I had been working with were only a small part in a bigger guild. One day, I was ordered to kill someone. Noone asked wether I wanted to do it, or if I even could. I just recieved the order. I couldn't refuse. At best, I would just be stuck as a common thief the rest of my life. At worst... well, I wouldn't be sitting here today. So, I did as I was told. It was easy enough. I just approached the target carefully, and with a single slice slit his throat. I wasn't very experienced back then, though. I had attacked him from a clumsy angle, and as a result I ended up the b*****d's blood all over me. I don't think I had ever been that sick and disgusted as in the week following that event. I was so shocked, I couldn't even talk straight for a while. Despite that, someone must've thought I did something right, and I was invited into some sort of training program. Not really realizing what was going on, and way too afraid to decline, I did as they asked me to do. I was trained for only one thing, and that was murder. I learned all about the vulnerable spots of the human body, about how to remain unnoticed even in clear daylight, the correct way to prepare and use poisons. They tought me to harness the subtle flow of light and shadow using arcane energies I had only imagined before that. In time, I even began to enjoy it. I was good at this as well, you see, and with that skill came the respect of equals and the fear of enemies. After a enough jobs, I even began to enjoy the hunt itself. An unpredicable game of hunter and prey, in which a good prey deserved respect the same way a noble warrior respects the worthy opponent he meets on a battlefield. Something that first disgusted me, now thrilled and excited me. Some years ago, when I found I had learned all I could learn there, I cut my ties with the guild -quite literally, if you get what I mean- and became a freelancer. It was then that I came up with my alias. I don't really know why... I guess I just thought it sounded cool." Meric chuckles "Working as a freelancer didn't only give me the freedom I wanted, but also increased income since I didn't have to pay the guild. Of course, it also meant I didn't have the protection the guild had provided, but I didn't think I'd need it anyway. I started making quite the name for myself after a while, but this attracted the attention of the guild. I managed to evade them for a while, and survived a few attempts to kill me, but after a while things started getting too dangerous, and i had to get out. So.. now I'm here. I made sure to spread several conflicting rumours about my whereabouts before I left, making sure they wouldn't track me here. I wouldn't be surprised if most people now think I'm dead. I haven't decided what to do here yet. Maybe I'll just take it easy and stay out of the spotlight for a while. I've heard of guild conflicts here, and I think I'll do some... observing. It sounds interesting enough." "My... abilities. Yes, I expected that to come up. I am skilled in avoidance, in remaining undetected. I know how to hurt without killing, and to kill without hurting. I'm trained to observe, strike swiftly, and disappear. I'm certainly no wizard, but I can bend and control light, and with it, shadow. This, combined with my excellent night vision, allows me to see things others miss, and to make others miss what I see, especially when there is little light. I also know how to take things without risk, and to pick a pocket without being cought. I'm well trained in the use of various weapons and combat styles, which allows me to improvise and be flexible, but I'm no warrior. I'd choose survival over chivalry any day, and as such I prefer not to meet my enemies head-on." "A... No. I can't do that. You must understand I swore many an oath of silence, and I do not intend to break those. I know you're going to say that it's standard regulation around here, but I simply... ... Ok, ok. I'll just tell you about one of my 'private' missions. Since I wasn't working for anyone else on that one, I cand decide wether I tell about it or not myself. 'A sample of your work'... Tchhh. You sure that's a standard question? ... Yes? Ok, very well. I'll tell you the story. See, this happened a short time after I went freelance. A certain high-ranking battlemage, who shall remain unnamed, hired me to do a certain job, which shall remain unmentioned. However, after I did this job, he didn't pay me for it. Now you'll understand that couldn't allow that. If word got out of such things, I would never be taken serious again. So, I confronted the man about it. He then... insulted me, and challenged me to a duel. Well, as I said I'm no warrior. Sure, I kill people, but I don't fight them. To go one-on-one against a battlemage, with big armour, a big axe, and bigger spells, would simply be suicide. Still, I couldn't refuse, because the b*****d would certainly spread word about my 'cowardice', making sure I wouldn't get any further jobs. So I accepted, and since I got to choose a time and place, I put the duel as far in the future as I could reasonably do. I told him I was a busy man, and needed time to prepare, and the arrogant fool laughed and told me to take all the time I needed. I knew that no preparation would be enough, and in stead used most of the time I had bought to study my opponent. I learned all I could about his habits, his personality, his entire life. Then, two days before the duel, I knew he would be away to visit someone, and would not return until late at night. I went to his house, and by pretending I was an old friend of the man I gained entrance. Luckily none of his relatives knew me, and with all I now knew about him it was easy to pretend to be a friend. I drank some thee, chatted with his wife a bit -a nice lady. I didn't understand why she'd marry such a b*****d- and just awaited the right moment. Then, when the sun started to lower and shadows started to grow longer, I acted. With a single gesture, I darkened the room. I jumped over to the surprised wife, and with a quick motion I snapped her neck. A servant, alarmed by the sudden lack of light, stumbled into the room, only to catch my blade through his throat. I then went from room to room, making sure there wasn't a living soul left in the house. Then, I waited. Some time went by, and then I heard the front door open. I waited until he entered the room -which was still dark, but now not because of me, but because of the late hour- and then suddenly gathered what little light was left, making sure the mage saw me. Too scared to use his magic, and too drunk to run away -or vice versa- he just stood there, screaming like a naked halfling. I lunged over to him, and pushed a dagger through his eye. He fell like a brick. Now of course, one might say it wasn't honorable to attack him before the duel, or that I should've left his family out of it, but then agian, the man should know better than to cross a professional assassin. It also served to get a good message across. I made sure not to leave any evidence that would link me to the killings, but I also made sure that the right people got to know what happened, and more importantly, that I was responsible for it. After that, I never needed to be introduced with the right people, and I got enough jobs to make a comfortable living and, unfortunately, attract the attention of my old guild." Meric looks around. "I already told you what happened then." He stretches a bit. "I grow tired of your questions. Do you know enough, now? ... Good. I won't expect to hear from you again." Without saying anything more, Meric gets up from his chair and walks away. As he opens the tavern door, the shadows seem to rise up and engulf him. Just before he closes the door behind him again, he simply vanishes, blending in with the night. And, for those who do not have the time to read that, here's the really short version: Name: Meric Cephyr Gender: Male Personality: Self-assured yet cautious, does not like being played for a fool History: He became an assassin, left his guild, got hunted by them, left to the place all this is happening. He is extremely logical and often has trouble discerning what other people are thinking or feeling. He doesn't talk unless he needs to and firmly believes that actions speak louder than words. Jill, on the other hand, firmly believes in the power of words and thought. She loves playing with people's minds and will prolong or ignore problems so long as they excite her. She feels a need to be feared and looked up to, and when not given the proper respect can become sadistic. While often eccentric and seemingly insane at some points, when she focuses she can become quite brilliant. While she doesn't always care about other people's feelings, she can usually discern what they are and manipulate them to her advantage. History: Jack and Jill are from another world. On their world, children are magically and intellectually superior to adults and lose their power soon after adolesence. Furthermore, the bonds of family are far stronger than those of society, and while large cities are rare, young siblings often travel together and are mentally connected. Jack and Jill, being twins around the age of 12 years old, are therefore powerful magi. Magical tools on their world that prove the existence of other realms have existed for some time, but until the two of them, none were able to actually travel to a separate realm. They had been working on a spell to create a portal between worlds for a few years and had failed continuously until once it just... worked. Now finding themselves in the world of Gaia, they are eager to discover more about the planet and take power for themselves. Appearance: They look like ordinary children in all but their attitude and the way they carry themselves. Something about their eyes and their astonishingly mature manner hints that they are more than your average children. Asides from that, however, they appear quite normal; Jill favors bright purple, blue, and green sweaters and dresses, and usually wears tight black pants, while Jack wears baggy brown pants and a simple, red t-shirt. Other: Because the planet of Gaia and the mental structure of its inhabitants are different than that of Jack and Jill's world, their magic will not be as useful or as potent until they can find out the laws of nature and understand the societal structures on Gaia. Kairos' Bio: Elly Name: Elly Hohzo Gender: Female Age: 75 Other: Elly knows quite a few spells pertaining to cleaning and cooking, as those are the sort of spells she has always found more useful. Healing, small miscellaneous magics, in addition to other skills she has. She's amazingly lithe and flexible for a woman of her age... perhaps it's in something she drinks. Appearance: At first glance, she looks like the kindly old lady who lives next door, who always has a fresh batch of something warm and sweet waiting to be eaten. Standing at a formidable 4'6'' (She used to be taller, but she traded in those inches of height for inches of wisdom), the third thing one notices (the first two being her size and her stylish silver hair worn up in a loose bun) is her face. Crows eyes betray a long lifetime full of laughter and joy, masking the pain and sorrow the old woman has seen as well. Her small brown eyes usually end up disappearing behind a warm smile as she looks up (with very few exceptions) to whomever she is speaking with. Appearances though, can be highly deceiving. Personality: Not one to raise her voice, there's something about the old woman's presence that seems to command attention without having to so much raise her voice. Elly was never a fan of senseless violence, though as a young lady she had a strong sense of justice, determined to set things right with the least amount of violence possible. Age has given her more patience than normal, as well as an appreciation for all things, simple and complex. She tends to adopt everyone she comes across, especially seeing as how most people are young enough to be her child or grandchild most of the time. Rarely does this kind elderly lady lose her temper ? though she has, and still does on occasion (though it takes a great deal to). Empathetic to nearly all plights, she is always willing to listen with a hug and a fresh batch of brownies. History: Elly grew up not only surrounded by two loving parents (too loving sometimes), two sisters and three brothers, but also with both sets of grandparents and the rest of her extended family (including but not limited to her parent's ten siblings, their children, and sometimes their children's children). The oldest in her immediate family, the younger Elly (who went through a phase of ?Elli?) was always looking out for someone and was always watched over herself while the whole family was together on the outskirts of Barton. It was there she was first exposed to magic; magic lessons were taught right alongside reading and etiquette. During her teenage years, the then ebony haired girl left the countryside of Barton in exchange for the classy manors in Gambino, staying with relatives while completing her formal education. Never one to turn down new opportunities, Elly continued her higher education in Durem, adding to the myriad of various extracurriculars she had been participating in. As an old woman, there is not much else that Elly hasn't seen or experienced in the world. An accomplished marksman, she had actually met her best friend turned husband after overshooting one day during practice. Together the two went on to have four children, where they lived happily in Gambino, close to the beach. Tragically, one day (after all their children had grown up) came home to find her husband dead. No wounds nor blood marred the dead man's body ? the cause of death was found to be the failure of the heart. Distraught by this unfortunate turn of events, the poor woman turned to what she had known best: taking care of others. Disturbed by the complete emptiness of her house (despite how often her children and relatives tried to visit, for it just wasn't the same) she became a place where wardens of the city came for nurturing. Orphanages sent their children to her house if their own facilities became too overcrowded as well. She still sees her children ? she called all of the wardens her children, regardless of whether or not they wanted it ? from time to time around Gaia. Elexa Name: Vicatia Adair Age: 27 Gender: Female Affiliation: GSF Abilities: Vic mainly uses spear, but has some hand-to-hand fighting skills, largely team-based. She can basically mess with physical objects: make her spearhead cut better than it should, make her spear or herself lighter or heavier than she should be, making one side of a die heavier than the others, etc, without changing the object's physical appearance. The larger the change in the object's properties, the more energy, concentration, and time the change takes. Personality: Cheerful and kindly, but with military discipline. Cheerful military discipline. She is compassionate, but any orders come far before compassion. History: Vic grew up on a quiet farm in West Barton, doing farm chores and practicing staff fighting with her two brothers, one younger and one older. When Vic was 10 and her brother was 7, he fell off the house roof and died from an infection in the wound he recieved. Five years later, her other brother, Proditoc, joined up with a mercenary squad in Durem because it payed better than farm work. Vic was the loyal younger sister, and she thought that doing fighting and learning something more interesting than just plain old staff would be exciting, so she offered to join with him. Proditoc was doubtful at first about his sister's ability to cope with mercenary life, but the issue turned out to be more with her ethics than with her general toughness. She did well and learned spear-fighting faily well from some of the other mercs, but had some moral scruples with the way they held captured criminals, and it turned out that her brother had not affiliated with the most reputable of merc squads: once the subject of an assasaination of a minor official came up, Vic was out of that group as fast as she could stand up and walk aout the door. She wasn't one for arguing, and she had a feeling that this sort of thing had been going on for a long time. So, she just distanced herself from her brother. When she came home to the small house that they shared, he made it very clear that he was staying with the merc group because it was worth it, and that was that. Vic tried half-heartedly to convince him otherwise, but to her it was already a lost cause, and she nodded sadly and left. She brought her things back to the farm and picked up where she and her brother had left off. Her parents were saddened, and they went into the city to talk to her brother, while Vic watched the farm and became reacquainted with her life there. It was merely a day trip from the farm to Durem, but when her parents were coming back it was dark, and that was when the first of the monsters started coming. They were old, the monsters dangerous, and by the time it was morning it was a wonder that they were still both alive. Vic found them staggering up to the farm and quickly brought them in, anxious to tend to their wounds. Now they both lie in their bed, drifting in and out of consciousness, but a poor farm family couldn't afford a doctor's care. That was when Vic heard about the GSF, and it seemed that an answer to her problems had come to her at last. She could make a good living and pay for care her parents' care while protecting people from the same monsters that had harmed her mother and father. She submitted an application that very day, and then all she could do was wait. Appearance: Vic has light brown hair with a tinge of red and soft, misty gray eyes that gleam in the sunlight and when she smiles. She usually wears simple clothes: loose linen pants and shirt, patched and worn but wearable, a strip of cloth to keep her mid-back length hair out of her face, and sturdy leather boots that can stand up to farm life. When she trains and fights, she wears a leather chestplate, wrist guard, and shin guards as well as a light helmet that she bought when she was with the mercenaries. They are worn and aged, but still sturdy pieces of armor.

Very much so. People are bugs that need to be stepped on if they hinder your way from one point to another. Has two sides to her: a private side and a public side. In public, despite her constant smiles, Lilith is cold and generally uncaring. She learned at an early age that the world is a harsh place - and if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. She doesn't care what other people think of her for the most part and won't hesitate to be painfully blunt or mean. Likes to exercise what she calls ''selective hearing''. However, when it comes to family or close friends, she's fiercely loyal and will do most anything to protect them. Doesn't mind getting her hands or conscience dirty either, as long as she gets her way in the end. She uses the meanness and coldness as a mask, or shield of a kind to protect her true self from getting hurt. Has also been known as an "overachiever" and "perfectionist". Despite her fondness of being pampered, she's not afraid to go do work herself if she believes others to be incompetent. Also known to be rather moody. Likes :: Attention, the beach, tanning, guys. Roses and other pretty flowers, teasing people, ridiculing others, shopping, clothes, shoes Dislikes :: People who don't listen to her and stupid people. The only people who are allowed to call her that are immediate family members and those whom she has an intimate relationship with. Comes from a wealthy family with high connections. *~*~*~ // The Past \ ~*~*~* History :: Working on it. (Short and sweet) Grew up as an only child, and was spoiled rotten. Rose to power in grade school and ruled the school with an iron fist (and a bit of blackmail). Went on to be prom Queen, and all that fun stuff. Knows Gambino as a childhood "friend" Euphoric Ghost Name: Paddy Gender: Male Clan: Sky Clan Class: Monk Element: Breath Personality: If Paddy could be described as any object that could be found in the universe, he would best be compared to a very large boulder. Paddy seem to just be an empty mass of fat, muscles, and bones. He seem to bear a very complacent and pacifistic life where at times his mind seems to just wonder off elsewhere. His very subordinate nature is obvious as he follows every command of his leader, and he doesn't usually make any decisions for himself, except when he's in danger or when he needs to do some of the basic things in life, like eating, sleeping, or going to the bathroom. He doesn't just follow anyone, he just follows a few who he respects, and have found a liking too. In that sense, he also has become their personal bodyguard, since he trusts a few he would protect those few with his life. He also has a competitive nature that would show itself at times especially when challenged to most sports games, and other physical contests. These are the few times when his dull eyes seem to burn with emotion. History: With a powerful hard body many would guess he indeed was an athlete, and would have broken several of the world's record in various sports. But never did bother to compete in any leagues or proffesional competitions due to his powers which he deems unfair. He had some control over them, but there was times that he knew that his powers were triggered automatically without his consent. His strength and flexibility made it easy for him to win fighting tournaments with large amounts of purses, but enjoyed most sport competitions involving water such as swimming, diving or surfing. Though most of the time, he gets his money from working odds and ends where his strength and energy was needed, such as moving furniture or even working in farms once in a while. Only recently was able to gain a steady income for his basic living expenses as a member of the Sky Clan, and thanks to being sponsored by Gambino, money isn't much of a problem anymore, allowing him more time to do the things he wants. Joining the clan also gave him another reason for living besides playing sports. Appearance: Paddy is a giant among men as he stands at about six feet and six inches, and weighs close to 300 pounds of flesh, bones and muscles. If not for his calm demeanor, and pleasant smiling face he would be most likely seen by most as an intimidating brute. His body seems to be devoid of hair and his bronzed skin is smooth like brass bent to the heat of the sun. His body was a whole deadritic river of thick veins, and mountains of sculpted muscles naturally attained through training, and care free days surfing the world's seas. His long platinum hair is as unruly as the waves he surfs, and the winds he rides. He often wears feet and hand wraps which he finds very comfortable since it allows him to freely move through most any terrain as if he was wearing nothing. He's known for wearing swimming trunks with tropical floral designs, but when certain occasions come up he would dress more properly. Other: Has a large black goldfish kite. Kharinya Name: Decira Cardan Gender: Female Clan: Sky Class: Fencer Element: Lightning Personality: Having been raised for most of her life in the rich atmospheres of Durem and Gambino, it's no surprise that Decira has a touch of a snobby attitude. The upper part of her right arm has a long scar from a deul in Barton. She wears tight fitting, white pants over which she has on a short brown dress. She also wears a blue jacket with thick white trim that crosses over and buttons on her side. She has black boots that end just below her knee. (Kinda like THIS: xp ) Weapons (Optional): Rapier Machina Aquarius Name: Machina Aquarius Gender: Male Clan: Sky Class: Monk Element: Rain Personality: Machina Aquarius is honorable, and while he hates starting fights, often trying to find a way around them, he has no trouble joining into one when he has to. Around friends he is kind, around strangers he is suspicious, around enemies, he never turns his back. His sense of humor is sadly lacking. History: (I have so much trouble with this part! I'm not very familiar with the setting, so feel free to correct me if you have to.) He recieved most of his training in the Monk class from himself, gaining his elemental magic when he joined the Sky guild at 18. Appearance: Sadly, just like my avatar. Including the horribly ugly flame clothes. Other: None, unless I can think of anything else. Fire Lizard Name: Arianna, Ari (air-e) for short, Nielscina, Rose Gender: Female Clan: Sky Clan Class: Fencer Element: Cloud Weapons: Two twin daggers that she at one point kept them hidden in her boots (she has fading scars along her calf to back that up as well) but now when she knows she is going to need them she keeps them in a hip belt that holds them. Appearance: When you look at her the first thought that comes to your mind is brown, all different shades of brown. Her hair is a light brown in colour, with natural highlights, all different shades of brown flowing through her hair. It falls in gentle waves and is cut on an angle away from her face, the shortest pieces at the front falling just to her chest and then it slops down till at the back it stops just below her shoulder blades. Her eyes are a honey brown colour and hold mystery beneath them which attracts some attention and when she lines them with black eye liner it makes them stand out even more. A smile is normally seen playing at her lips, but the rest of her face is what tells if she?s happy, sad, mad or teasing someone. Her smooth completion is a bronzed brown and au natural, though it probably has gotten darker from the amount of time she spends out in the sun. Her tall frame stands 5?9? and her slender toned figure is thanks to all the activities she does. Clothing: Ari is known for wearing something short and skimpy, fun and flirty or mix and matched clothing. Her regular foot wear consists of light weight knee high boots in black, navy blue and tan, depending of what she is wearing. Personality: If you have ever wished to make a good first impression, one with Ari would defiantly be a good idea. There are two sides to her one side is for the people that make bad impressions. Her upper class side will kick in and she is not all that pleasant to be around, for she will be snobby, sarcastic and ignorant towards you. She will appear cold and uncaring and for the most part completely ignore you. However the other side is very different for those that make a good impression. Her sweet personality that comes from all the moving around she has done in her life and not having a core group of snobby friends. If she likes you and your first impression then she will become a complete sweetie, she will go out of her way to help you, make you feel better or just listen to you when you need someone to talk too. She will give you her complete trust and loyalty which is almost un-matched; if you ruin that then watch your back! Looking at her perfectly manicured hands you would think she is afraid to touch dirt, but she is exactly the opposite, she?s not afraid to get down and dirty if need be. People calling her a perfectionist would be the understatement of the year, for she has been known to up and redo everything and anything she is not happy with. History: Ari was born in Gambino and started her life and her start up to popularity. Her parents were never home and so she would sometimes have groups of friends over to her house and have parties, even as a young child. Her parents didn?t care because they where never home, but her relatives did and so her grand parents took her and so she lived with them in Barton until she was 10. During the 5 years she lived with her grandparent?s she got involved with team sports, dance and gymnastics. When she was ten her grandparents died so her uncles and aunts took her in, not wanting her to go back with her parents who where never there. She stopped playing team sports and only did dance and gymnastics in her house to stay in shape. Her personality started to change as she switched towns and houses every two months because none of her relatives knew the responsibilities that they where taking on trying to raise her. She soon became a popular party animal with a snobby attitude and many followers due to her popularity. After she turned 15 she had, had enough of the moving back and forth every two months. Ari moved back in with her parents and they actually stayed around and tried to catch up with her for about a year. In that time her personality became softer and friendlier as her sweet girl personality came out. After the year her parents left and went back to working long hours and never being home, she didn?t want to go back to the moving again so she stayed at her parent?s mansion and her old snobby, sarcastic personality came back, but this time the sweet girl personality stuck with her when she found people that impressed her. Around 18 she joined the sky clan, for she wished to be able to control her powers and she was immediately impressed with the member?s already in the clan. She is very loyal and trusting to the clan and will follow the leader?s orders to ever letter. Ari has been with the clan for about a year now and never wishes to go back to her old life style. DragonDrake Name: Lucas Thonastus IV Race: Human Age: 21 Class: Fencer Ability: Thunder Appearance: Lucas stands at 6'1", tall in height, and with a lean, well-toned body. Bright blue eyes to go with his short, wavy, blonde hair only serve to enhance his beautiful face. His skin is somewhat pale, that also being due in turn to the blonde hair and blue eyes. Pale, slender lips, set between high cheekbones, but with a firm, strong jaw give him beauty, but with enough masculinity to be called "handsome". Clothes: Luke's wear consists of only two colors: blak and white. A black, sleeveless shirt made of cotton hugs his body tight enough to reveal the outlines of Luke's well-toned chest and abs, even through the chain-link armor underneath. The armor covers his chest and upper body and also runs the length of Luke's arms, conforming to the bulges of his upper arms. Both the shirt and the shirt-mail tuck into a pair of black, baggy jeans, through whose loops runs a black belt that clasps in the front with a silver buckle. Over it all, Luke wears a magnificent white robe. However, its magnificence comes from its simplicity. The robe is all white, no border, no clasps, no pockets. The robe falls to the ground and is clasped in the front by simple strings. It has a high, stiff collar which rises a far way up the man's neck, and covers the hilt of a rapier on his back. The robe is most often not quite tied all the way, showing off a "V" of his black shirt underneath. Also, Luke's eyes are normally shielded by a pair of slim, stylish, all black shades. Bio: Lucas Thonastus the Fourth was a normal four-year-old, living happily with the few cares a four-year-old cousin to the prince has in Barton Town. His parents were always loving and took well care of him, he being the only child. Near to Luke's fifth birthday, a barely noticeable change came over his father, Lucas III, who became more aggressive, easier to anger. A certain strange glare was always coming into his eyes. Luke was not quite aware enough to realize the dangers he was viewing when it came to his father rough-housing his mother, Toniya. It wasn't long before Luke's mother packed her stuff and left in tears, and the court was in an uproar. Lucas III realized just what kind of trouble he had caused, the third packed his stuff as well and left under cover of night. Lucas was forced to come along, arguing all the way. Just outside of the town borders, at the age of six, Luke was left to an old hermit named (Hoompa Loompa? Think of it later. xp ). The hermit turned out to be an outcast from the King's court as well, an old fencer. The hermit took it upon himself to train Luke vigorously each day. Unlike other fencers, Luke was trained in the use of two rapiers, making him superior to some who only use one sword. The sword for Luke's left hand hangs across his right hip, and the other across his back, its hilt over his right shoulder. At the age of 16, Luke found a power within himself, the ability to manipulate the air inside his palm to summon forth a short burst of thunder. He has spent the last five years of his life practicing this and other skills even more hardy, hoping to one day return to Barton in search of the rumored Sky Clan who had powers the same as his. cipheralex Rank: Earth clan Leader. On both arms he wields a pair of bladed gauntlets, the left fitted with three blades and the right with two. His grey eyes seem to pierce right through you when staring right into them. His clothing consist of a black shirt and shorts, oth being long at one time untill he altered them. Lastly, high brown leather boots. History: Grew up in Ocean Side, the port town of Hensara Island. As a child, Tidorus was trained by his father, Typhlorus. At the age of 17, his father went on a risky heist which got himself killed and left Tidorus the new captain of his fathers ship: The Blue Skull, and all it's crew. He quickly became a notorious pirate just like his father. At the age of 20, a group of travelers, a boy by the age of 17, his twin brother Clorof (Which the others did not know of this) and a Waloofan which had been changed into a human to help aid them. They saught passage to "Black Thorn Island," the dwelling place of the master of darkness, Sarkoln. He did so, but at a terrible price. When they landed at Black Thorn Isle, the ship, and all its crew, was destroyed by Sarkoln himself. The exact same man who killed Tidorus' father. He soon joined the travelers on their journey to destroy Sarkoln. On this journey, they found many new allys who gave them aid on this quest. The quest was succesfull and Tidorus returned to his home. Soon after doing so, his adventurous spirit overwhelmed him and he became bored of his everyday life. He decided to buy a new boat in which he traveled the seas for many days. He found himself shipwrecked on the land called "Gaia." Now he is now in search of a way home. (Just so everyone knows, when I developed Tidorus oh so many years ago, he was ment to be a water element and has ever since I'v roll played with him, hence the nick name Tide and so on. But coming to Ciphs call I will have to sacrifice being an Earth element.) Quote: Physical InformationName: Ransom Gender: Male. Age: 16 Eyes: Black, naturally, but changes from time to time. Hair: Blue, naturally, but changes from time to time. Height / Weight: 5' 7" / 152 lbs. Clan And Class RelatedClan: Earth 3nodding Class: Spy. Not well suited for battle at all, a spy usually finds creative, non-violent ways of getting the information they need - infiltration is their specialty. Make no mistake about it, these people are in no way similar to the legendary ninja. Prefering to talk their way out of a situation instead of fight, they often let themselves in through the front gate of even the most hardened strongholds by posing as merchants, members of a particular army - any way they can without bringing unwanted attention to themselves. Once they're in, they make quick work of befriending those that they're stealing from and gathering any useful information... then slip out just as quickly as they had entered. In the case of being discovered, they have very little way to defend themselves, outside of finding a quick escape route or perhaps changing their appearance. Element: Pollen Personal InformationPersonality: Ignorance was (and still is) bliss for many people. For Ransom, such was a reality. Having no recollection of his past besides a plated bracelet with what he could only assume is his name scratched into it, he quickly found that many people were willing to take him in without the slightest idea of who he was or where he was from. It was at this point that he discovered his innate skills to earn people's trust, then take what he needed before dissapearing before his host knew what happened. Not having any other direction in life, he became a thief and a spy, earning his keep by taking it whenever necessary. Outside of his so-called profession, Ransom is a fairly happy and jovial person who enjoys the good joke and has deep-running resent for those who oppose those who he feels he can call friends. Still very questioning and confused about the world around him, he's often curious about things he doesn't know - perhaps a bit too much, at times. Still, his spunky and rambuncious nature keep things lively. Equipment: Varies. Generally carries a dagger or other form of short blade in case he needs to fight. His clothes also change often depending on the situation. ((Fairly short.... Um... more coming later, I think.)) Ki Yochi Name: Ki Yochi Gender: Male Clan: Earth hopefully biggrin Class: Ranger Element: Pollen Personality: Ki is one with nature.... Being timid and quite all the time. He isnt well known. History: Ki has allways been a wanderer all his life. Traveling from forest to forest. Running from his past. Ki was being forced into being heir of his families kingdom. He loved the free life. The adventure. Appearance: Ki is dressed in a green wrinkled shirt with earth tone pants along with hand and feet wraps. His hair is as brown as the earth and eyes blue as the sky. Other: RP Example: Ki continued to move around the forest. Gazing left and right. Getting to know his surroundings. He found an open area full of lush tall grass with a lone willow tree in the center. Ki approached the tree and sat beneith its branches and began to practice his earth elementalist skills. Rocks and sand began to swirl him as the grass and the branches of the willow swayed back and forth. I will change this if needs be Thanks!! biggrin Casta Name: Cali (Mouse) [insert creative last name here] Gender: Female Clan: None at the moment Class: Scout- Scouts work as information gatherers and spies. While similar in abilities to thieves and rogues, they don't steal as a general rule of thumb. They are skilled with all manner of light weapons and crossbows, though not to the degree of warrior classes. They generally don't wear any armor. Their abilities of vision compiled with their natural aptitude for sneaking help them about the enemy unnoticed. Element: Barrier Personality: Paranoid beyond what anyone thought was humanly possible, Cali is literally afraid of almost everything. She’s afraid of strangers, fire, animals, and being alone in the dark terrifies her. Because of her horrid childhood, she’s also become soft, or, as some would call, weak. If something scares her too much, she cries. If someone yells at her, she cries. It’s as if her past has left her scarred for life, no more than a child in…well, a child’s body, but with an extra ten years to its name. History: Cali grew up in a family with four brothers…four older brothers, mind you, who tormented her into paranoia. When she was young, they would hide in the dark and scare her in every way possible. Their idea of fun was burning her hair and poking her with sharp objects simply to hear her cry. It wasn’t so much that they hated her, just that boys will be boys, and in this case, boys are cruel beings. She’s also terrified of the water due, once again, to the brothers from hell, who used to throw her off their family’s dock, all the while knowing she couldn’t swim. To make matters worse, her family ships goods all about Gambino- by boat- and she gets sea sick. As if it wasn’t enough for her to jump at the slightest sounds (aside from shaking everyone she goes), Cali’s also got an allergy to nearly every food in the grand pyramid- Everything from milk and dairy products to nuts and wheat. Did I also mention she’s a vegetarian? Appearance: Because of her endless list of food allergies, Cali is an undersized, malnourished-looking twelve year old, which doesn’t help her in any way, especially given that she’s now seventeen years old. Her hair looks like a brown mop on top of her head, messy, untamed, and half burnt on the ends. Her brown eyes look like melons compared to the small frame of her face, which goes well with her tiny, four and half foot tall body. Her overall size is good for one thing, though, as it allows her to creep in and out of small places without being seen, as well as allow her to hide in places which normally are unable to hold bigger humans (such as the tops of trees, insides fireplaces, etc) Other: While her magic is well-suited for her overall personality, Cali’s so jumpy that she rarely makes her shields in situations which would actually call for one. She has a horrible tendency to make a shield pop up at the softest drop of a pin. While she’d like to call this ‘defensive tactics’, it’s actually just a side effect of her childhood paranoia. Mouse is a nickname given to her by her brothers which has somehow held strong over the years, due to her endless shaking and jumping. Elexa Name: Al'erka, or Al'e, for short. Gender: Female Clan: Life Class: Marksthingy: Specialization in long range sharpshooting wth her crossbow(I'm a sniper... icon_ninja.gif ) Element: Cleansing Appearance: Al'e sticks out of the crowd because of her striking phisical features: long, thick black hair streaked with screaming flame-red falls to her mid-back, but is usually pulled back in either a braid or a simple ponytail, to avoid getting in the way. Her oddly pale skin also marks her even in a large group. Her height is slightly above average, although this is not exploited in her fighting style. She usually dresses in soft leathers layered for protection in training and combat, but prefers cotton and other soft fabrics in light colors on her free days. Personality: A bright, cheerful, and happy-go-lucky person, Al'e's childlike personality often misleads people as to her age. She is rather clever in terms of puzzles and logic. She's the one that wants to be everyone's friend and sees all people as inherintly good. She will very rarely turn down a request, especially one made by her new "family, the Life Clan(because that's how she sees them. I might even have her go around calling you Life Clan people "brother" and "sister"), and prefers to do things for what she sees as the greater good, rather than help herself. She can be rather naive and mislead by her sheltered childhood, but she makes up for that in combat. Sometimes, when Al'e is thinking too much or not clearly enough, she gets suddenly moody and depressed, with quick flashes of anger directed at herself but that lash out to others that annoy her at the moment. If in combat at this time, she takes risks that she wouldn't normally and will probably stake everything on one strike. History: When she was very young, Al'e lived wit her family and was perfectly content in their small house in the slums of Gambino. She had a mother, a father, and an older brother and their lack of money only sometimes impeded on their happiness. Then, however, the taxes started. Her family was struggling, and they planned to move out to a farm in West Barton Field, but the family would only have enough money to support one child for a long time. Al'e knew that she had to be the one to go, since she would be of the least use around farm, so she was left at an orphanage with directions to the farm, if she ever wanted to come visit. Fortunately for Al'erka, she was picked by a wealthy family of Gambino. She lived the high life until she was about 13, at which point she decided to go visit her real family. Whe she reached the farm, her entire family was being carried off to be sold as slaves on the Black Market(made this up... feel free to insert some other horrible fate of parents/brother here), and she could do nothing except hide in the bushes. She didn't know self-defense or any kind of fightng style. The most she could do was get captured, herself. As the kidnappers set her family's farm alight, all she could do was curse herself and her weakness, tell herself that if she hadn't wasted the past years basking in her foster family's finery, she might have been able to save them. When she got back to Gambino, babbling about a Black Market slave rade, no one believed her, and eventually she was carted back to her foster home in a sack becuase people were starting to worry about her sanity, and with good cause. Later that same day, she took the first dagger she could find in the house and went out onto the street. When morning broke, eight people were lying bleeding on the street: four robbers and their victims. Al'e had seen herself as some sort of figure of justice, punishing the hooligansfor what they were, and then those robbed for not being able to defend themselves. It was a crime in itself, in her eyes. When she was done, a man in his mid-twenties found her lying on the street, the dagger thrown away, and in internal turmoil. Her conscience didn't wasnt her to hurt others, but her mind was disagreeing. SHe was sobbing into her hands, and the man tried to calm her, to soothe her. He brought her out of the hole of darkness that she had put herself in, and listened to her story when she was finally comprehendable. He said that if she wanted to make it up to herself and those people she ahd hurt, there was place where she could learn to fight fo herself an others. He tok her to the Brotherhood of the Unchosen and installed her at a barracks with others her age. She learned to defend herself in hand-to-hand combat as well as in archery, and finally she was accepted by the Life Clan. She took the power of Healing to signify her wish to fix what others could not, as well as what she herself had done.
