That's right, I'm questing for a June 04 letter. It's currently going for 420k but I figure by the time I've gotten that much gold it'll be up to 500k easily.
5k/500k
While I may pick that up along the way, I'm changing my actual quest to the ultimate goal I've had and that is the Angelic Sash. See my quest bar to see how I'm doing currently.

Whoa. I wish you much luck on that. Persoanlly, at the price the letter is now, I wouldn't even think of trying for it. (But I have no patience, too, so I don't really count.)

Well, I like the letters and they seem like good investments. My ultimate goal is the angelic sash so I'm hoping that if I can catch up to the letter I want I can sock it away for a while whilst it inflates nicely for me and at some point in the future, presuming I can bear to part with it, I would sell it for a ferocious profit and buy the sash. At least that's my plan.

The thing with that is that the sash will probably inflate at about the same rate as the letter, if not higher, so unless you can slowly upgrade the letters, or get a veritable ton of the 2004 donation letters/items, it's unlikely to amount to all that much. Upgrading might work, though. You can trade the letter, maybe with another one or a good amount of gold, for a December 2003 letter, then trade that, and more gold, for a November letter, and upgrade that to an October letter, or just the sash. That'd work better. 3nodding
Yeah, I thnk about this sort of stuff a lot. I want a sash, too, but haven't got anywhere near the right amount of patience for it.

Teehee, a shopping spree could be quite satisfying too. smile Good luck! I don't have the patience to play the market that much. I've bought a couple things and sold them for a few hundred more, but I'm not familiar enough with everything to do that too often.

Angelic pendant and horns of the demon. The horns are worth about 100k more than the pendant, and determine the price of the letter itself. 3nodding

It goes slowly. Tektek didn't have a quest bar for the letter so I went with the horns. Now my sig is all questy spiffeh.
