I'm curious as to what teams people use in Fire Emblem: POR, and the forged weapons you can create.

My team was really simple during the first 17 chapters:
Ike
Mist
Kieran
Oscar
Marcia
Illyana (sp?)
Jill
Mia
Lethe

But then I had all those last minute characters to consider:
I ended up with the following mixed in with my team:
Princess Crimea
Harr
Naesala (sp?)
Ranulf
Reyson
and I was forced to include Ena: poor Nasir...

So, what about the rest of you, or tell me about what ended up being your best character?
My best would be Mist: she did about as much as anybody else and dodged almost any attack and healed my team!

I ended up only making two forged weapons (didn't realize how much easier it could make battle):
Forged Death: Silver Sword w/ white blade. Ended up being just as good as the ragnell, mainly because I money concious and didn't max everything out. I gave it to Ike, and he was quite efficient against Generals.
Silver Fury: Silver Lance w/ yellow handle. Fully maxed and very light. I gave it to Oscar and he kicked Dragon butt!!!

Hmm... my teams?

Well, I level Ike up super early in the game.
I NEVER go through a chapter without Soren. sweatdrop
Illyana
Zihark
Reyson
Marcia
Tanith
Rhys/Mist (They're interchangable)
Ranulf
And occasionally Shinon or Oscar.

And I always chose Naesala at the end. His converstation with Ashnard makes me giggle. 3nodding

I only use my thieves when I need them.

But really, all I really need is Soren and Ike. They just plow through the chapters.

And as far as forging weapons... I really never do unless I'm having problems leveling up a magic user. I make the weapons really heavy. But I'm skeptic as to if that really works. It SEEMS to take forever. But that just might be cause they only offer (D) class magic tomes.
And as far as naming them...I usually name them after previous FE favorite characters of mine. Like Erk, Joshua, Knoll, Canas...

the list just goes on.

My best team (all level 20s) so far includes:

1) Ike - Ragnell, best weapon ever. Aether, best ability ever.
2) Elincia - Flying healer, eh.
3) Boyd - With Colossus, the knights tremble
4) Gatrie - Reminds me of me, big and unmovable, but easy to pick on.
5) Mist - OH MY GOODNESS! Ok at the beginning. Level A Sword + Sonic Sword + Rundsword = Invincible.
6) Oscar - Starter from the beginning, eh.
7) Rhys - Good in my first game. Need more strength and speed.
cool Rolf - Deadeye, his new nickname.
9) Soren - The emo mage...THE FREAKING AWESOME EMO MAGE!!!!
10) Mia - Lovely, lovely criticals.
11) Nephenee - Knight killer version 2, Brave Lance preferred.
12) Volke - Lethality, quite deadly. Seeing him take down knights, hilarious.
13) Marcia - For some odd reason, it's something to do with the pink hair. And "STUFF IT, SPONGEBRAIN".
14) Tormod - Really good movement. Plus, I really like fire.
15) Ilyana - Out of all the mages, she had the highest strength stat. LOL
16) Jill - Great defense, especially while taking on arrows like crazy, without the Full Guard. Plus, the red hair.
17) Giffca - Tibarn was ok, Naesala sucked horrifically, but Giffca...roars.
1 cool Lethe - Little kitty with BIG BITE!!!
19) Janaff - Pretty much guaranteed hits every time.
20) Nasir - Criticals alot more than Ena did. At least twice.

Only forged two weapons, Beacon and Spike.
1) Beacon was for Rhys. He's slow and weak (in strength). Made Beacon with a high critcal, accuracy and power with low weight. Made it when he promoted in Chapter 16.
2) Spike was a much needed strong distance weapon for Nephenee. You only get so many Spears, so I made a really strong and light blue javelin for Nephenee. Criticals more than Killer Lance.

I forged a sword for Mist called Smashir, which had high strength and criticals, but a low weight. She critical'd every time. cool
