Hey, I got a uniqe problem. My mom's xp is crashing I have no fix disc and thought about putting linux on her system, but she has been using windows since it came out (what like 84') and has never touched a linux system- mostly I need a distro that will allow yahoo messenger to run and not cause any problems. THX
p.s. If this is the wrong forum please let me know

Actually, there's a group formerly known as Redmond Linux (now called Lycoris) that was ok, till Mandriva bought it out.
These days there's not too many linux distros directly modeling themself after windows. Your best bet IMO is to stick with a large vendor (Red Hat, SuSE, Mandriva) and know you'll be taken care of.
