My mom was semi-forcing me to be in th school play, and in auditions, I told her that I didn't want to go through with it, and that I would be in the crew. I feel really bad. Did I do something wrong, because I feel like I did...I think I hurt her feelings. It's all I can do to keep from crying, and I don't know why I'm like this right now.

Hun, your mom shouldn't try and make you do something you don't want to do...you are at least participating, and that alone should be enough. You didn't do anything wrong. Did your mom do theater in school, or participate in any extracurriculars? Sometimes parents want their kids to follow in their footsteps, or parents who didn't do things and later regret it sometimes want their kids to do the things they didn't get a chance to do (kind of like living vicariously thru their kids). I think that you should sit down and have a talk with your mom, and ask her why she wanted you to be in the play so badly. Maybe she just wanted you to get involved in stuff, or perhaps there may be an underlying reason (like the ones I mentioned above). If you talk with your mom, maybe you two can come to an understanding about things and get all your feelings out in the open. Don't worry though, you definitely did not do anything wrong. Just talk to her. smile

Maybe you're used to her guiding you, and for the first time, you just thought you can do something on your own.. and it hurt you to think that it hurt her.
Just part of growing up I guess, but don't stress yourself over it, k. You're a goood person, be happy. <33

Your mom may be a little dissapointed, but in the end, it's your desicision, not hers. All you can really do is keep on going with what you did, and live your choice out.::Shrug.::
You'll find that parents aren't happy with alot of stuff you do, actually; they all have an image of a perfect child implanted in their brains. But, they still love you. :] So don't worry; no matter what you do, she still will. <3
