Has anyone here read anything by Libba Bray? She's written both A Great and Terrible Beauty and Rebel Angels, both of which are fantastic. She's one of my favorite authors by far, and I await her third novel. Has anyone else read her work?

I read A Great and Terrible Beauty a while ago. It was alright, but not as good as I was expecting. I thought it was a bit cliched to tell the truth.

Yeah, it is kinda cliched. But, I still love Libba and her books. It seems like a lot of books/YA Fiction are really cliched.

They completely are, which is why I don't read much YA lit. It was an engaging story, though. Mysterious and all that. I'm not bashing her by any means because God knows there are worse books out there.*cough*Eragon*cough*

Haha, amen. I can't believe that so many people like it, and they're turning it into a movie xP . It was way too cliched and you could guess what would happen next.

Yeah, same here. I'm just glad I got Eldest second hand and cheap 'cause I can't stand that either. I really don't understand how people can like it.. and why are they calling him the new Tolkien!? Tolkien is ten times better than that kid! Blah, I give up x_X .

I absolutely love A Great and Terrible Beauty, it's one of those books I can read over and over again...I haven't read Rebel Angels in a really long time, though.

I adore the first two "Gemma Doyle" novels, and I'm happily awaiting "The Sweet Far Thing", which I've got on hold at the public library.

I've read all three and they are really good. The ending was kinda like wtf! It seemed weird and random to me but i still liked the books. But warning the third one is like three times the first.

Oh trust me, I thought the books were amazing too, but you have to admit that the ending kinda came out of no where. There a some things that lead to it but it's just really unexpected not to mention strange. And yet, still amazing.
