In the two or so weeks I've been gone, a lot of useless little additions have been made to Gaia (ex: Congratulations! You got __ gold for _____ing!). What's the deal with the webmasters? They should be doing more important things than telling me I won a red butterfly in the stupid Daily Chance.
Maybe they need ideas. Here's one: Revamp the ENTIRE gold system!
On second thought: Get rid of it!

Get rid of the gold system as in...you don't have to pay for items anymore? Why on earth would we want that? I mean, sure, it would make it hella easier to get the items we want, but it would also put everyone on an equal playing field...you no longer have to work in order to get the good items, for example.
And I don't think the gold counter is very nice, but the economic system itself works pretty well.

Yeah, communist Gaia would be bad. Because that would mean that the mods have total control: they decide who gets the gold, they decide who gets the items, they decide pretty much everything. The idea of a group holding supreme power in the name of the people looks great on paper, yes, but in practice it just turns into dictatorship or anarchy.

*sweatdrop* Ugggh... Well, I do think the gold counter is worthless, and I think the daily chance should consist of clothes, gold, and tokens and not anything else, but I agree with phantom that we should earn our gold, but that has been getting harder as of late. I think we should earn at least five gold per post like it used to be. Sure, I can see the gold starting from big, then lower itself, but I think that getting only 1 or 2 gold per post is ridiculous, but this is just my opinion.
