Vital Stats: [Indicates change since arrival] Name: Santino Giuseppe Geoffries Nickname: Tino Date of Birth: October 24th, 1989 Age: 16 [17] Date of Arrival: September 30th Sex: Male Body Type: Ectomorph Eye Color: Gray [Orange] Hair Color: Blonde [Black & Blonde] Nationality: Italian-born Brit Sexual Orientation: Unknown [Straight] Marital Status: Single [In Relationship] Special Skills:Guitar playing Ambidexterity Fluent English Italian slightly above rudimentary Excellent cooking [Exceptional senses] [Fast reflexes] Clothing: Red t-shirt; black top with uneven sleeves: long on the right, elbow length on the left; black arm warmer over left wrist; "skinny" type dark blue jeans; black boots with a slight platform
Personality: Tino is shy by nature and tends to be very passive in his dealings with others, even when it's to his disadvantage. He hates this trait in himself and has vowed to be assertive more times than he can count. He believes it's his wishy-washy nature that gets the better of him in these situations, but he is, in fact, an unusually kind young man. Tino loves music, and devotes most of his free time to writing or practicing music. He's not a prodigy, but he is talented for his age and has lots of potential. He will never admit it, but he secretly despises his father for not being around or him while he was growing up. As a result, he has some problems with abandonment. He has a good sense of humor, but it may take quite awhile for him to trust anyone enough to laugh with them.
History: The Geoffries family could trace its roots back more than 4 generations, and every branch of the tree contained an Englishman. After a fight with his mother, Silas Geoffries moved with his wife Nerissa to Italy. Three years after their move, Nerissa gave birth to Santino Giuseppe, so named for their love of their new country. Santino grew up speaking both English and Italian and showed a bit of an aptitude for language. He did well in his Catholic school and still has some of its values instilled in him, but is now far from a practicing Catholic.
When Tino was ten years old, he and his parents were in a car crash. Nerissa was gravely injured, but Silas and his son were relatively unscathed. Santino's mother died after living more than 3 months in a coma when Silas made the heartbreaking decision to take her off life support. Not long after these events Tino's father checked himself into a mental hospital where he was wrongly diagnosed with schizophrenia. Silas died three years after his admission, but Santino has no knowledge of this.
Without any family in his homeland, Santino was sent to back to England for support. As his parents were the black sheep of his family, he was pawned off on the government and sent to a foster home. Tino's first foster family was an odd one, consisting of an older man and woman whose children had all grown up and moved out. This couple instilled in him his love for music and gave him his first guitar, which he still treasures.
When his new family went bankrupt two years after his arrival, Santino was sent from home to home rather uneventfully. He would sit in his room or any quiet place he could find and would practice playing his guitar and writing music. Families were distrustful of him because of his quiet and shy nature, but he had nothing to hide from them. That didn't stop people from becoming suspicious.
He came to The Compound under the impression that it was a well-renowned but not very well heard of school for those exceptionally gifted in music. The flattering thought of being accepted into such a prestigious place appealed to his low self-esteem, and he jumped at the chance to prove his worth.

Inventory: 1 acoustic guitar of sentimental value, appears to be in very worn condition 1 classical guitar, looks very expensive 8 nearly identical changes of clothing, all formal-looking and uncomfortable 1 dog-eared copy of a liberal political humor book 1 set of toiletries consisting of a comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, and a hair elastic 1 notebook half-filled with sloppily scrawled song lyrics 1 CD case stuffed with a variety of music from classical to heavy metal 1 autographed photo of a classic actor, seemingly worth a lot, but no one knows if it's legit 1 note from Sarina, given to him on the day of his arrival 1 copy of Don Quixote, loaned to him by Lenore

The last known diary entry of Santino before his arrival at The Compound...September 28th, 2006 I've been accepted to a music school known as Saxton. It's a boarding school, so I'm a bit worried about leaving my life here, not that I have much of a life to leave. I should be excited, but I can't help but question why I was accepted. I didn't apply, nor am I that talented. Well, I don't think I'm that talented. People tell me I could be great, but I just don't know.
My foster family says they will miss me, though I barely know them. I've stayed in their home for 3 months and spent almost all of that time in the bedroom they had given me. I've written enough songs to sing for ages, but I hate every single one.
One thing I won't miss is public school. Being called a "f**" by students is one thing, but when your teachers... When your teachers call you names, it makes them seem more real. It makes you a wishy-washy, weak, pathetic f**.
I won't be that person anymore. I'm not going to give the other students chances to do that to me. I'm going to stand up for myself if it kills me, or them. I can't waste this chance to prove myself. Santino

She's a bit crazy, but gives me good advice.Aurora-- I don't know her very well, but she seems very nice.Anjelica-- I used to not like her, but I'm grateful for what she did to me to help Rina.Dr. Saxton-- I'm still pretty pissed about being tricked.Turquoise-- Laughed at me while I was having a mental breakdown. Yeah, NOT cool.Demetri-- I'm not cool with his exposing himself to my girlfriend, either. Imagine that.Syrus-- If I catch wind of where this guy is, he'll be lucky to leave with skin anywhere on his worthless body.Naomi
