The Sapphire Phoenix stretched her wings, enjoying the warm morning sun that was beating down on her. She looked out from atop the cliff, where upon her nest was situated at the top.

The cliff face was similar to the home of puffins; caves, nooks and crannies all the way down, each suitable for nesting a new Phoenii chick. The Sapphire Phoenix smiled to herself before lifting herself up into the air with a beat of her broad wings. She sailed out off the edge, enjoying the warm breeze and surveying the lush green below her. Their valley was a peaceful one, filled with green trees, long-grassed fields and a beautiful waterfall that supplied excellent drinking water. Of course, Sapphire's control over ice and water would always make sure the valley stayed this way. She made sure it rained when it was needed, and cooled down when the sun was too warm...

Turning on the winds, she circled back round to look at the cliff face. On this huge cliff, the rising population of Phoenii chicks still looked scarce, despite the fact there was now a full 26 chicks and eggs! Sapphire smiled to herself, glad her laying had started off well. She flew back towards the cliff, and landed back on top, taking her place back as the guradian of the Eyrie.

"A new beginning...." She sighed softly as she settled herself back down, staring up at the clouds with a smile.
