Hmmmm......interesting. The only one of those three companies that I actually like is ADV. I think we'll just have to wait and see what develops.

Yeah, ADV is probably my favorite out of the whole bunch but I'm a Geneon fan too. I feel pretty safe (when it comes to dubs) when I buy new anime that's been produced by these companies.
Funimation, varies. They have the potential. I've heard decent if not good dubs out of this company.
Fruits Basket: Good
Yu Yu Hakusho: Good
Blue Gender: decent
And yet they did such a horrible job on the DB/Z/GT/Movies.
But what I'm wondering is WHY they decided to do a joint venture.

To get more fans and more money. However, I kind of miss the tight knittedness of the anime community before this newest wave of anime hit the us. Here's how I kinda look at it:
More fans = more newbs = more obsessed fangirls/boys = more annoying little peoples running around the anime cons as well as flooding our forums with pathetic "______is teh bomb, I want to marry ___!!!!!!!!11!!!!"
Oh well, let anime be enjoyed by all. As long as these companies don't get too close and start doing everything together (including raising prices) then I don't really care. Since I don't usually buy US released anime and harldy ever watch anime on tv this will affect me very little but I'll probably keep scanning the anime news for updates now. Thanks for posting article!

Tweeny boppers annoy me. I hate sifting through forums, trying to find a decent discussion.
But yeah, for every 10 tweeny boppers there's an intelligent otaku.
