Various Definitions
Chocobo- [[From Wikipedia.com]] A Chocobo is a large, normally flightless bird capable of being ridden by a human. Their specific abilities vary somewhat from game to game. Most dwell in forests. While timid in the wild, and vicious if threatened, they tame rather easily and make good transports. In this role they tend to be capable of crossing shallow water and are noted for their high speeds. Chocobos have occasionally been sighted as lightly armoured war mounts in which case they can assist their riders with beak and claw. Most often they can be caught in the wild and ridden without fear of random encounters, escaping after the player dismounts. Overall, the species is a very versatile and useful bird, which comes in handy as horses are essentially non-existent in Final Fantasy games.
While ordinary Chocobos are yellow, certain rare breeds are of different colors and have special abilities, such as crossing mountains or flight. Again, specifics vary. An even more rare, more extreme variant is the Fat Chocobo (or Big Chocobo), which resembles a yellow chocobo with a serious weight problem and can humorously stock the party's items in its stomach (FF III & IV) or appear randomly when summoning a chocobo in battle (FF V & VII)
The onomatopoeia for a chocobo's call is "Kue" (クエ) in the original Japanese versions and is sometimes transliterated as "Kweh" in the English translation, or alternately replaced by "Wark."
The Chocobo design is said to be based off of Hayao Miyazaki's Horseclaws, which appear in Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.

Specials Darkswade
Personality-
He's a bit of a bookworm, influenced by Oujou when the purple Phoenii had grown older and had to watch over the chicks and eggs. He can usually either be found in the Eyrie or Spazzy's Nest, digging his beak into a book, since he's a Perma-chick and cannot grow, it seems very advanced for him to be reading books of the size in the eyes of Izzy, Atsui, and all the others in the Nest.
Spazzy: "I named you after my friend here on Gaia!" -Grabs Darkswade and hugs him lovingly-
Darkswade: "Ahem....Yes, and I regret that dearly...The massive amounts of hugging I've gotten from you leave me mortified each day.." o___o;

Picasso
Personality-
A First Generation Red Phoenii who has sudden outbursts of craziness at times, which is usually all the time! He loved to perch himself on Spazzy's shoulder when he was a chick and rock back and forth, but is now unable to do so because of his full-grown stature. He's calmed down a bit now, actually, ever since Izzy and Dizzy hatched and grew in time into the Adults they are today. Picasso has a deep love for Jadewing and the young ones, and is usually found with either Moonlight or Darkswade following in pursuit right behind him.

Picasso: O---O; "Oh dear lord....We'll be packed in like sardines!"

Personality-
She loved to spin in circles with her brother, Dizzy, & listen to music while doing it when she was in her egg and as a chick! Izzy loves to stick around with Ra, and they have feelings for each other and she knows it, but doesn't like to admit it around mom since she doesn't really want to 'let go' of the kids yet.. Izzy tries desperately to find time to talk to Ra alone, but either the Phoenii from her Nest or the Jade Nest barge in and either distract them or urge them on way too much, much to her dissapointment.

Personality-
Atsui loves Phoenii chicks to bits! He always feels that it's his duty to make the other Phoenii smile by making goofy faces to cheer them up. Kryptonite and Andrea just love to make his life a living nightmare, for example, hitting him in the feet with hammers, throwing boards of wood at him. On the other hand, Moonlight is a bit nicer to him, since she is the sweeter, quiet type. Once in a while she'll offer her help, though at the time she can't do much because all of the Phoenii in her nest are just out of control and crazy.
Spazzy: "Moonlight's almost like his psychiatrist!"
Atsui: -___-; "I'll need one eventually after having to live with you all..."

Oujou
Personality-
When she was younger, Oujou was very quiet, most of the time with her beak buried in a book. She was usually found hiding behind Spazzy, reading the heak out of a good book, unless Atsui tugged her along or she was watched to watch the hoard of chicks in the Nest....Until she met Dizzy, that is. The first time Oujou met Dizzy, she seriously thought that Picasso may have rubbed off on him just a little bit too much, leaving her impression on him as an insane Phoenii who she liked a little bit at that time...Until she and him were shoved in to the Lagoon and deserted for a while....alone...OH MI GOD! gonk No, I'm kidding, anyways..They flirted with eachother, more outgoingly than Ra and Izzy, and eventually she admitted that she loved him, and so did he, to her suprise and they're planning on having eggs anyday now.. NOW! >3

Personality-
She's one of the more quiet Phoenii of the Nest, usually found hiding behind Tobu or Atsui. She sees Tobu as a *Chocobo and addresses him as 'Mr. Choco Bird', oddly enough, but it's unknown why. She has a fond liking to wearing the pair of DJ headphones she found on the ground a couple days ago.. Bebop has yet to find anyone she likes yet...But I'm sure she will!
