Is it possible for a person to master several martial arts each with its own opposing ideas? But then again Bruce Lee did this and formed them together to create Jeet Kun Do.
Personialy I consider martial arts to be excatly that and art form something that once you take up it becomes part of you and you put your life into it.
Taking from several martial arts is okay, but technically speaking its not right.
I know this is going to sound funny but I've only been studying Hapkido for a few days now but this is something that I belive.

I was only able to take Tae Kuan Do (fixed the spelling) for a few years when I was younger. And yes, I think it does become part of you and your life.
I think it is possible to learn two conflicting styles of martial arts, but you wouldn't be able to master either. It just would not work with the human body. Kind of like you can't have an RP character that is a swordsmaster and master magic user.
Martial arts is one of the best things you could do with your free time and I wish I had the time to take lessons again.
As an interesting side fact: once you reach a certain degree of black belt(or highest ranking belt), you have to register yourself as a weapon.

Well personaly, i have not been able to take any martial arts, but I want to take Ninjitsu. But i'm sure its the same concept of guitar playing. I picked up the guitar two years ago, and I kinda thought it would be like, playing video games, or with toys when i was litte. It would satisfy me for about a month then I'd move on, but instead it became a part of me, and now thats what i do...i play guitar...i have mine strapped on me right now..so..i know how your feeling, but unlike martial arts you can mix different style of guitar playing together, and create your own.

Personally, the best places to hit people are where they will die from it. Looks you don't need fancy moves or belts. To injure some one severely just follow this
Nose sad Extremely vulnerable) Strike with the knife edge of the hand along the bridge, which will cause breakage, sharp pain, temporary blindness, and if the blow is hard enough, death. Also, deliver a blow with the heel of your hand in an upward motion, this?will shove the bone up into the brain causing death.

i put my son in kempo and its one of the best things i think i have done for him. No only has it helped him overcome sensory motor skill deficincies but his concentration and respect for life has increased as well. kempt is a martial art form only used in self defense not in attacking and i highly reccommend it to anyone.

Crusnik Priest look martial arts are for killing ...Jeez just go train in Dim Mak I have to disagree. While you can kill people with martial arts, it is not the first thing you are told to do. The first thing you are supposted to do is try and get away.

Which you can not do if the person is larger than and faster than you. Therefore you must severly injure or kill them

If they are faster or bigger than you, disable them and then run. I know there are ways of disabling someone without severly injuring them.

LOok if you knock them flat on the ground with a single blow causing internal bleeding they won't ever mess with you again. if you disable their arm they will come looking for you
