it's kinda sad and ironic in a way that if Nirvana hadn't stopped -in the sudden and sad way it did- the Foo Fighters might never have happened or, certainly never got the same kind of fame.
in a way I bet Kurdt'd be turning in his grave if he knew of all the cool people Dave got to meet and jam with- all because, let's face it, they were intrigued by him for how tied in to the whole Nirvana thing.
I'm a big Foos fan tho, so much as I like Nirvana, and it is sad Kurdt is dead, things worked out, somehow... I also like Taylor Hawkins' solo project, the Coattail Riders. I got to see them play this summer, and they rock the house. m/

I'm not sure where Gannin is from, but it's him and Taylor and Chris Chaney, formerly of Alanis Morisette's band (as was Taylor before he joined the Foos). very retro 70s, kinda Boston meets RHCP, I guess. they have some songs on their myspace. "Running In Place" is my favorite one.

Poor Dave still thinks of himself as the drummer playing in Nirvana. I guess Kurt will always be what many see before they see Dave...
Sad really, but I am more into Foos then Niravana these days. However, I am not too into the new album, lacks heart and effort in my opinion sounding very repetitive to me...

the foos are going very "polished" if u know what i mean. their albums used to have alot of heart ( " color and the shape" is the best, hands down) but now its all repetitive...
