Hasidi's heart pounded in his chest, his soul on fire. He has met the girl who he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, and she was truly amazing. Kari's pink form danced in his mind like sugarplums on Christmas night.
He laid on his back, taking pressure off of his shoulders and legs, he had been achy lately, but not enough to stop the happiness that swelled within him. He wasn't sure what to say to her, how would he convey his feelings in words? She had saved his life, had made him feel like finding the answers to all of his questions didn't matter anymore. The hope that he would be accepted in this new land never left him, and for the time being he forgot about his mother, brother, and sister.
"The gods themselves could not make me feel more alive," he whispered, the long grasses beside him fluttering and swaying in the wind. The Duma'bara lands were wonderful."] Her paws had led her far, well past the southlands and away from her home behind. Nephthys had no recolection to her family at that moment, just enjoying her time and looking for friends. Yet, as she had been traveled for a good amount of time, still no one joined her side, no creature became her companion. The ghost-like lioness was alone, fending for herself, and indoubtedly taking on the pawsteps her mother once traveled. She was now becoming a true rogue.
Unknown, she moved closer to her strange colored brother, one not related by blood but simply by heart. She hardly remembered him, the last time she saw him was when she could barely speak. And so, when she caught sight of the lion in the distance, she thought nothing off it and continued to wander on.He blinked furiously looking at the apparition in front of him, "Mother, mother is that you!" the moment the words escaped him he was sure it could not be her, the little lioness was far to small to be his great Tisha, and his heart fell, mind instantly turning to the bundle of fur cuddled into his mother's side, what could he say?
Flipping over almost in slow motion he gradually got to his feet, wincing slightly as his nearly healed shoulder started to bare the weight of his body. The dark red lion was a little worse for ware, but he was getting back on his feet, thanks to a special pink cheetah.
"Is..is that you?" he whispered and started to walk towards his juvenile sister, his heart suddenly ached for Tisha and Tafari, to see their familiar faces, and yet he saw those faces in this little one.

Nephthys thought nothing of the strange lion that walked near her, simply distracted with the sight of the lands around her, moving still when he yelled. She passed him a good twenty yards away until suddenly her eyes turned, and the soft blue orbs glanced confused at his movements.
When she realized he was coming towards her, her ears suddenly flattened and a snarl moved to her maw. It was not at all fearful, instead it was just a defence she tried, as if she made herself look older than she had been. Her paws extended small, sharp white claws, and her eyes narrowed even further when he came into hearing distance.
"What do you think you are doing? Stay away from me stranger!"

"Little Neph does not remember me?" he said loud enough for her to hear. He felt stunned, his heart fell into his paws and for a moment he didn't know what else to do. Should he continue moving towards his sister against her will or should he stop?
Making his decision he stopped a few feet away from her looking down at the ground, he did not want her to feel threatened. He thought for sure she would at least remember his face, or maybe his limp? Sadness and confusion swam in his brain.
He was home sick and wanted to see Tafari and tell him about love, and tell him he knew where babies /really/ came from!
"I.. I'm sorry," he whispered looking up at her.

Her nose curled up a second in confusion, the act of her snarl falling when she saw he wouldn't come closer. Stepping back a moment herself, she turned her head slightly to the side as if showing her cheek, and narrowed her eyes in questioning.
"How do you know my name?" She murmered softly, though she did not say it was her nick-name, and than she added, "And there is no way I would know you, you clearly don't live in the Kusini lands."
Nodding at her logic, she failed to remember many things from her cub-hood, only the warmth of her mother and the loving actions of her eldest brother. Hasidi, unfortunatly enough, left too early for her real memory to store him. He was as gone as her knowledge of saying her first words.

"I am... I am no one, a friend of your mother's that's all," he smiled holding back tears. He wasn't sure why he didn't come out and say that he was her brother, Tafari, Tisha, and Neph all looked the same, he didn't look like any of them anyways.
"I lived in the Kusini lands for many years," he sighed thinking of his first appearance there, how everything was so easy for him then. How could meeting one little girl bring back so many memories? His life was great now, but all at once it felt empty without his real family, "How is your mother?"
He sat uneasily on his haunches shifting his weight as always to releave the pressure on his shoulders and legs. The red lion was growing swiftly into his, 'manhood' and would probably not look the same anyways.

She still held a skeptical look for a few more seconds, before suddenly smiling and showing more trust than before. Deciding not to move to her own haunches, being young enough that she was still in her prime and not tired at all, she just swung her tail back and for a bit before thinking about her mother.
"When I last saw her, she was alright...still tired as always but I think happier than usual these days...but that was weeks ago, so I am unsure just how well she is right now. I know though, if she were truly in pain, someone would search for me, probably Isoke." Nodding at that, she than brought a question out of her own, a small curious expression brushing her eyes.
"How did you meet my mother?"

Mom always was tired, even when I came to her, he thought a picture of the great lioness forming in his mind. How had the little, lost, limping cub met Tisha? Oh dear... could he really keep up the lie?
"Umm... well," his big brother tone took over, the dopey one that most creatures found comforting, "I was little and lost, and your mother found me as a cub, she raised me."
Should he mention the fact that at one time Tisha thought of him as a son, a big brother to the silver apparition in front of him? As if answering himself he shook his head back and forth looking. Over his short time away from the Kusini lands the earthy red lion had learned quite a bit, and the ‘dopey’ side of him only came out when he was uncomfortable.

"A lot of people say that my mother loved to take in cubs, and before I left a lot of new cubs just entered the pride..." She said softly, thinking herself and failing to connect things just yet, "Hauzu'l is one of them, though mother says she is just making sure he is safe until his father returns..."
Smiling at that, it was clear the juvenile was proud of her mother, and she shifted lightly afterwards, "I am glad to meet another who my mother helped, I always want to become like her and help people survive in this hard world." The widsome of Tisha already shone through her daughter, and the cub smiled lightly before rolling her shoulders back to hear a soft pop.

"Tisha is a great lioness, I should visit her soon," what would the great silver mother think of his love, Kari? He beamed thinking of Neph becoming like his mother.
"Did Tafari ever admit his love for Isoke?" Hasidi chuckled, thinking of the two. He remembered learning tag with them and Tafari almost having a panic attack at the rules of the game. "I miss them both."
"She was like my mom, I called her mom. And you, when you were born my little sister," he blurted out awkwardly searching her face for some expression. His heart felt as if it was slowly creeping back up into his chest as their conversation did not seem as labored.

Nephthys just smiled at the thought of the akward Tafari and Isoke, the two a beautiful couple still discovering the bounds of love.
"If you mean him asking permission to court her, yes, they are courting now, though nothing further has happened yet. They still are both very young." She nodded at that, and paused before his next sentence was blurted out. Stilling, she just looked at him like he had grown another head, before the situation became clear.
He had known her while she was still a cub. Shifting her weight, she looked to the side and than back to his face, "I am sorry, I don't remember you at all..." Oh how suddenly akward it had become.

"Oh, I cannot wait to pick on Taffy for that one!" he chuckled, he didn't want it to be awkward, "He's always been a bumbler, you should have seen the days after I came home with mom! I can remember some of them."
"You don't need to be sorry, it was afterall a while ago!" a grin creeped across his face slowly exposing his pearly white teeth, "You were a cute cub, " now THAT should make it awkward, "I was worried when I left about you."

She just stared at him with confused eyes, the color light and blending almost with her pelt. It was only the stark contrast of her newly growing mane that kept them apparent, and she took a deep breath before puffing a few strands away.
"I'm sorry..." She told him softly, clearly having no recollection of just who he was, "...I'm sorry I don't remember you, and that I can't trust you."
Of course, speaking of trust and telling the truth contridicted, but her eyes held genuine concern, seeing as to how much he seemed to know her, and how little she knew of him.

He sighed heavily, he understood where she was coming from, and even more so understood that it was impossible for him to force her to remember. The earthy red and cream colored lion was probably a sight to see, his shoulder was neatly broken and the paw he had always limped on was even more a mess, he wouldn't trust a dirty lion either!
"I understand...it is just so awkward, the day you were born my heart feel into my paws. You were so sweet, and so perfect, Tisha really adored you. I left soon after your birth, it did not feel right. Tisha, Tafari and Neph, the perfect little family, I stood out like a big red thumb! Can you imagine?" He had wanted someone for many years to tell that to, to explain why he felt so awkward and had to leave the Kusini lands, the only home Hasidi had ever and would ever love.

Nephthys just blinked up to him, not really emphasizing with him at the very moment. Instead she just studied the same features he silently critisized, the shoulder and the paw and all of the wounds that lined his ragged form. When she looked back to his eyes as he finished his exclaimation, she narrowed her own very slowly.
"My mother isn't one to judge based on pelts..." she started slowly, "...but if you really held such a place in my family, I don't understand how you could just...leave...and never go back. You miss her so much, you should at least visit. Even though I've left my homelands, I plan on returning home and seeing my mother and Tafari again. It would just be cruel not to."
Finishing with a nod, she silently watched and judged his reactions. Indeed, she was just like her mother afterall.

Hasidi nodded, he knew that his adoptive mother was not one to judge, but the weird feelings he got because of feeling like an outsider had countered that completely.
"I will visit mom again, once I have a family of my own," that was the original plan, and little did Hasidi know that he wouldn't have to wait /too/ long for there to be a family, "You must know the need to travel, do you not? I had aneed to travel and see if I could find my father..or someone like me... I have not found anyone," he sighed and looked up at the now big, little Nephy.
"Do you understand?"
