I think it necessary! For those who don't know the story, just google it and find a summary. Basically a whole man vs. nature thing. Anyways, just ask before you take characters, this is gonna be pretty informal. Also if you have a made-up, fill out the form and post, but wait for me to approve please. I hope you all will join! ^^ San and Ashitaka are free, of course, since I decided to back off. I'll be taking the Forest God so as to keep the rp going, and I will also be a narrator of sorts, and step in to get the story on track every so often, with occurences and such. And I'm playing Eboshi as well, since I think that she's not as heavy a character as say San, but still can keep the story on track. Original characters are more than welcome, as long as there's not change in the original storyline. No one can fall for Ashitaka and take him away! I would like to make this at least correspond with the original story, and if you step in and screw it up.. yeah.. so if you play San, don't be like "omgggzz Gonza sexy!" or anything ridiculous like that!!! SOOOO I'll be starting with a narrative post, no god-modding for anyone (but me)

The storm clouds began to roll across the sky, blocking out even the least trace of daylight from the earth. Even at an early hour, it was enough to make it appear as though it were a moonless night. The clouds eerily hung in the sky, trembling in anticipation of a downpour. The darkness was not welcome among the Emishi tribe-members; the elder had told them of the omen it could warrant, but never would tell them just what it was. She alone knew of the creature that was vastly approaching.
The last time this had occured, Ashitaka had been their to aid them. However, now there was no Prince for the Emishi people. They had been relying on the young Kaya for protection as of late, even if she wasn't the strongest woman of the tribe. She had a fierce fighting hand and had acquired many attributes that condoned leadership. Perhaps she had learned something from her brother. However, a woman was no protection against what approached, and the tribe did no trust her wholly. Whatever new creature came in from the West, the elder knew that the Emishi tribe was not able to withstand it's rampage. Kaya's feeble attack might only enrage it.
Kaya herself was sitting on the ledge at the far end of the tribe, already stringing her bow. Under the darkness of the impending storm, her face remained a porcelain white, flecked with sweat which she whiped away every so often. Her hands trembled so much she could barely get the bow strung; after a few sharp pains in her hand, and several snapped strings, she finally got her bow ready and turned around. How could she handle this alone? The elder had told her what approached, but she dared not believe it. All she could do was pray for herself, and wish that Ashitaka were still here to guide her.
Shaking her head, she knew she could not count on the Emishi Prince anymore. Walking towards the stables, in the back of her mind, the memory of his flight persisted constantly. She'd given him her lucky dagger to take away, and then he'd simply gone. Why couldn't things be simple as they had been in the past? With a sigh, she mounted one of the red elks, though she wasn't sure of its name or owner; everything in the tribe belonged to the whole tribe. She rode the elk out towards the forest, stopping in the center of the vast feild to make sure she had all her daggers, and then she waited.
((By the way, you guys can start being either here or the iron village. Just I suggest someone help me out by creating someone in the emishi tribe or something?))
