What the ********, Suikoden isn't a great RPG because it didn't sell multiple millions of copies. Shin Megami Tensei:Nocturne isn't a great game because it didn't sell enough copies for Platinum status. Guilty Gear isn't a great fighter because it didn't sell enough to go platinum. Killer 7? Utter s**t, and nothing more.

And of course, 50 Cent: Bulletproof is the best ******** game on the planet because it went Greatest Hits.

Fun Fact: most of the game that go Greatest Hits are actually total s**t.

If this was intended as a joke it was in really poor taste, especially among a group of gamers.

Greatest Hits means the game sold enough copies for the company who produces it to warrant a $20 re-release. It has nothing to do with the actual quality of the game. Hence why total s**t like the Spongebob games and 50 Cent: Bulletproof are "Greatest Hits". Enough little kids/white suburban wannabe gangstas bought the game to warrant the company re-relasing the game for $20 for more profit on an old game.

when a games is bad? simple

Over used of a popular franchise...FFV!! dirge of cerberus anyone/ X-2?
when they copy the same thing for the millionth time
NO ORIGINALITY WHATSOEVER
Crappy voice acting
Wrong side of nation making games..Usa and RPGs= BAd and same goes with fighting
It actually has a tv spotlight
bad publisher and developer >_>

Most games on the Greatist Hits list aren't even that great. They just happened to have sold a lot of original copies.

Don't believe me? Then why is a great game like Urban Reign not a Greatest Hit and yet s**t games like 50 Cent: Bulletproof are?

Its the sales.

Sales don't make a great game. If they did, then Superman 64 would've been atleast a little bit tolerable, since millions of brainless 10-year-olds bought that piece of s**t of a game.

Ok, Urban Reign probably doesn't belong as a GH either, but it still kicks a helluva lot more a** than games like 50 Cent.

Wow, this post is full of fail too.

-Isn't necessarily a bad thing. As long as the company producing the games can still make them fresh and original, re-using an old name/concept is fine. I mean, look at Super Mario, or Suikoden, or pretty much ANY fighting game series.

-See above point. The same old thing can be done again and again as long as it's done well. Megaman, anyone?

-You can turn down the sound. And even if you don't, some awesome games ahve terrible voice acting, but it doesn't make the game any worse. Baten Kaitos has some of the worst voice acting this console generation, and yet it's still a really awesome game.

-Black Isle would like to have a word with you. Country of origin has no bearing on a game whatsoever. An American-based dev team can make just as good a game as a Japanese dev team. See: Secret of Evermore & Fallout. And to my knowledge, America has only ever made one fighter series. Just because it sucked doewn't mean American CAN'T make a good fighter, it just means we HAVEN'T.

-Yes. Commercials make a game bad. ANYTHING ADVERTISED ON TV IS SELLING OUT.

-Truth. Though, terrible publishers/developers have put out excellent games. Mastiff bought up La Pucelle and edited it to hell and back, but it still turned out pretty ******** awesome. The developer that brought us Devil May Cry 2 also brought us Devil May Cry 1 and 3. The developer that brought us the shitty Final Fantasy series also brught us the beyond awesome SaGa series.

Well hey, I stayed up for nearly two days straight trying to get Arthur's boxer shorts in Dead Rising. That made me ill, but it was still worth it for some reason...

I'm talking about in the first few minutes of playing it. If you can get sick from a demo of the game, you know it's bad.
