Nope. Slayer and Anthrax both come under Thrash Metal(they were two of the "American Thrash Four" with Metallica and Megadeth)
Slayer were influential in the creation of death metal, but the music is not death metal as death metal tends to have 1. blastbeats, 2. gutteral/"cookie monster" vocals, and Slayer have neither, athough thier lyrical content is similar to death metal.
But yes Seasons in the abyss is awesome.
