Casting For Roger finished. Ben Walker is to play Roger in the first His Dark Materials film What do you think?

He looks younger than I originally saw Roger, but I think he'll do a good job.

Hum, maybe make up and him playing the role would make him look different, but I always saw Roger with a more of a lost-puppy-will-follow-you-everywhere kind of look. But not that cutsie-puppy-I-wanna-take-home...just...more of a...there is nothing else, lead me.
Ahhh, don't know how to explain, but eather way, no.

I voted no, although I'm really on the cusp. I think that he looks a bit too out-going to be Roger. In my minds eye, Roger was always a bit more...meak. A follower. Of Lyra yes, but a follower. Ben looks too...something?

Well, that kid looks good enought to be Roger...BUT~I totally thought that all the gyptians were black. Just like the way they were described made me think that they weren't white. Because it may just be my imagination but, they like had their own language and pride, like people today do. And like you could just tell by looking at them that they were gyptians. And you can't see a difference between white and white people. But i know they arent because later they talk about Africans. Anyway~I'm terribly sorry if I offended anyone, I'm totally not racist! But that was just what I imagined. heart

I don't think I like him, in my mind Roger was meak, yes, a follower, yes, maybe blonde with scruffy hair. But maybe I'll like this boy in the movie.
