Okay yeah so you guys have probably heard of people saying Disney hid subliminal mesages in their 90s movies. I remember my sister all of the sudden started hoarding the Aladin, the Little Mermaid, and the Lion King in her room because she was trying to find the pictures and messages. What do you think about this whole thing?

I've seen and hear most of these "subliminal messages." I think it might be bogus.
I think The Little Mermaid cover was a mistake, or maybe they just thought no one would notice, but honestly I can't think the animators would be dumb enough to put it in such plain view.
The Lion King supposed sex in the dust is, in my opinion, totally stupid. you have to like squint and tilt your head to see it, and even then it's a stretch. I think if you showed that frame to a person who didn't know the legend, they wouldn't make sex out unless they were very dirty minded. Same goes for the Aladdin balcony thing.
I think I'm gonna have to go with hooey. xd

Yeah the sex one, it does almost look like it spells out sex but the E isn't all the way completed, and makes it look like an F...

The generally accepted theory is that there is an acronym in the clouds, but it's "SFX," or "special effects."

Here are some of my favorite dumb Disney rumors:

The minister in The Little Mermaid is, um, more than happy to see Vanessa.
The seven dwarves represent the "seven stages of cocaine addiction."
Aladdin tells teenagers to "take off their clothes."
Finland banned Donald Duck because he doesn't wear pants.

At least one rumor is true: A single frame of a topless woman appeared in a home video release of The Rescuers. (It was a reel where someone had added it to the background as a prank; Disney accidentally used that version for the 1999 VHS release.)

The Snopes urban legends pages debunk these rumors in the "Disney Films" section: http://www.snopes.com/disney/films/films.asp?music=off

I saw the Lion King one on my vhs, but when I watched the dvd of TLK the dust didn't form the letters. Sooo they might have changed it digitally? Which also might be the reason you haven't seen it.

By the way, the "excited" minister, I've seen it in a still, and it's his knee. Sick people will make something out of anything.

Hehe, and I have one of the original covers for The Little Mermaid. My parents wouldn't tell us what was going on when my aunt came over and told them about the "thing" in the castle. I didn't see it until I was 18... it could possibly be an accident.

I think it's a bunch of crap personally. The Rescuers thing is true...but other than that I think it's another hoax that people made up.

Have you noticed that people ALWAYS have to have a hoax to keep themselves excited? There was Y2K, then there's that thing about how a meteor's going to hit Earth in 20 years or something, then of course we have the alien skeptics running around still...
