I'm thinking about starting to write a comic, but a retarded duck shitting it self is a better artist then I. So I'm going to get my friend/sister to maybe draw it for me if you guys think it's a good concept.
Essentially it's going to be losely baced on mylife, except I'll be a guy. Any of you who have read Dominic Deegan know what a seer is. MY idea is that I am a seer in the modern world having to deal with what I see and the troubles of classes, and a social life. I'd include all sorts of horrid modern trends, but will have to put in pop culture refrences since this is loosely baced on my real life. But I'll try to keep it to a minimum. It sounds a bit cliche but I think it may turn out good.
I'll include all of the people I know, and follow my problems and victories. Although

That sounds good, but I'll make a few notes.
Autobiographical comics usually evolve and become much less so as the characters take on thier own identity. Allow this to happen, it really gives a comic personality. Don't feel tied down to autobiographical writing- Rather, take inspiration from your life.
The separate drawing/scripting is a good idea, because it's the best of both worlds. I'll say it anyway though: Scripts for modern settings can get VERY fluffy in that there's not a lot of substance. Make it interesting, make the characters' lines worth saying. Also make sure the art matches the mood of what you're trying to say.
Remember to give it a personal twist, something that makes it different from everything else you've read/looked at. The seer in modern life is a great idea, so do it justice. Do lots of research into being a seer so it isn't one of those "convenient powers" that some characters tend to have. Everything has limitations.
If you plan on hosting it, make sure you have quite a few pages already prepared and that you can update consistently. Also look into what you are able to do advertising-wise, because it takes a LOT to get a comic off the ground.
Just some suggestions from a long-time webcomic reader. <3 I wish you lots of luck!

I'd agree with everything [Larn] said. 3nodding
Another thing I'd ad dis be careful about basing characters on real people. One of my friends did that, and he now feels like he can't do certain things because the people whom he based the characters off won't like it. Just something to keep in mind. n__n;;

hmm, well is seems that it's a good idea, but I'm not sure I'll have an artist. see and I want the art to look better than mine, while it isn't a hard thing to do, finding someone I can work with is.

sry it didnt work out for ya..if i could suggest somethin..there may be a local artists guild in your general area. now most of the younger artists and whatnot say these folks are very "stuffy" and not able to draw what you are looking for they may have younger people that they know that would perhaps be more suitable to your work
